This place was open, not sure why marked closed. I've not been near a Papa Murphy's since moving from the westside of the US, and it was one of my favorite spots. The ingredients were fresh and plentiful, a single slice was a meal, the cost low because they didn't have to heat anything for you. Take it home, make it when you were ready. So I was excited when I happened to be in the vicinity of one. The menu had changed since it'd been so long, but enough favorite adjacent choices I did not feel disappointed. Unfortunately, it was a ghost of what it once was. It is the pizza version of the 16 oz potato chip bag that only has about 4 ounces of actual food in it and the rest air. My story; my fault, driving all day and just too tired to go to a restaurant. Saw good reviews for Papa Murphy's and the pictures looked great. Ordered the pizza with a salad and when I picked it up in the lobby of the hotel the young lady who delivered it was heading out the door. Picked up the pizza and it was cold which threw me for a loop and when I took a closer look it said that I have to cook it myself. I'm in a hotel and don't have that luxury. Caught the delivery girl and she stated their pizza's are just put together and you bake them yourself. I have no way to bake it in a hotel so I gave her the pizza and said to take it home and enjoy it. Got to my room with my salad and no dressing. Not how I wanted that to work out so I walked across the street and got take out from Jing Jing luckily the steak, onions and peppers were cooked and tasty. Again my fault for not reading it all, just never came across a pizza place who delivers uncooked pizza. Salad wasn't all that bad with no dressing. read more

I have been a customer there since they opened. They are not consistent with some of their products. As an example today I ordered two Mediterranean salads, which were put together rather nicely, too bad they didn't include the salad dressing! it's not brain surgery, if I was taking this salad to work to have for lunch, I would have been out of luck. come on people! read more

Ordered 3 pizzas, one was missing so I had to go back inside. The hand tossed pizza crust was on thin crust. The thin crust chicken Mediterranean pizza we ordered was on hand tossed crust with no chicken. When I called the store to complain about the chicken pizza not having chicken on it, I was told I could bring the pizza back to the store and they would put chicken on the pizza instead of replacing it. I've been supporting my local Papa Murphy's since they opened. I like the pizza and salads and think it's a good concept. However, my recent visit found me facing political posters displayed in the building. The information on the posters was false and misleading and totally inappropriate. I believe a person has a right to their opinion but displaying such false information in your place of business makes me wonder about other decisions the owner is making. Do they cut corners on food safety because they don't believe in DHEC? Do they treat their employees horribly because they don't believe in fair labor laws? I'm not sure I want to support a business that has questionable values and displaying your inaccurate political posters made me aware of the type of person owning/running the place. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Mixing business with politics is rarely a smart idea. read more

I can't believe that I had to go to a different state just to try Papa Murphy's Pizza. Papa Murphy's is not your average pizza place. They build the pizza for you, but they don't bake it so you have to take it home and bake it yourself. It makes the pizza more fresh and hot coming out of the oven. The pizzas are amazing. I first tried their stuffed pizza. It had plain sausage on top, but the surprise was that when you bit into it there were other meats like ham and pepperoni between two layers of crust. It was like searching for meats under the crust. I also tried their Thai pizza. It had chicken, zucchini, white, red, and green onions, pepper flakes, and finished with a sweet chili sauce. What made this better were all the ingredients sounding so Asian and the sweet chili sauce making it taste Asian. Both pizzas were very tasty. Take my advice and bake Papa Murphy's pizzas at home!!! read more

Poor customer service, pizza not made like it used at a Papa Murphy's. My pizza was not made well where there were no toppings or cheese in several spots. When I pointed it out the employee and manager just stood there with blank looks on their faces. I won't be returning here. read more

I love this take and bake pizza place but I have one problem. Who ever heard of a pizza place that closes at 8:00 p.m. sharp. It would be a lot more convenient for those of us who live in the real world to have a pizza place that closes closer to 10. read more

We really like Papa Murphy's but I can't get over how slow they are. Why should it take as long to make a simple pepperoni pizza for me to take as it take papa john's to make it, bake it, and have it ready for me to pick up? Very good pizza and i like the take and bake option. Watching the guy make my pizza (The Cowboy) was a "Oh Yea" moment as he kept piling on the toppings and cheese on the stuffed pizza. Newly opened here and will definitely go back for more. This is a take and bake only so if your wanting to take it home and open the box and eat well you'll have to wait, but this is far better than the Papa Johns a couple doors down. read more

Great concept, and very tasty results! I dropped by after work and ordered a "family size" 16 inch pepperoni pie. Within 5 minutes it was put together while I watched, and securely wrapped, complete with a baking tray and instructions. They go overboard with the toppings (not that it's a bad thing!) and the end result is better than the typical delivery pizza, and way better than store-bought frozen. With a coupon, which seem to be readily available, it came to $9 and change after tax. Dinner for 2 with leftovers...not bad. read more

I am so happy I found it! It's take and bake, which is so great. I live far away from Pizza civilization, so this is perfect. I on order online anytime and pick it up on my way home. You can make it any way you want. I was a little suprised by how flimsey it was for a large pizza. The little tray was awkward, but now I know. We took the pie home and a few hours later baked it. It was as good as home made. 1/2 meat 1/2 veggie-loaded! I'll have to stop in a couple times a month. read more

I was looking for someplace to get a nice salad and a pizza with some different toppings. Yelp lead me to Papa Murphy's. I ordered the club salad - it was fresh and easily large enough for two people. It was exactly what I was craving. The pizza was on the original crust with chicken, mushroom, zucchini, and onion toppings. I didn't know it would arrive as a "Take and Bake" pizza. It was my first time ordering from Papa Murphy's and I must have missed that bit of info on the menu. That was okay, because I ate too much salad and was no longer hungry for pizza. I set it in the refrigerator and was all set for dinner the next night. The cooking directions were easy to follow. The pizza was delicious, the house smelled great, and I was happy! I had plenty leftover for lunch and dinner the next night. I should also mention the delivery arrived about 15-minutes early. Good experience, two thumbs up! read more

#1 Zagat rating? Seriously? We've been getting a few new pizza places in the area over the last couple years or so, and I've never been tempted to abandon my Pizza Hut or Papa Johns. But I received a menu for Papa Murphy's and I would have dismissed it completely if it weren't for the Zagat rating. The concept of Take N Bake was neat and well, I was willing to change it up a bit. Definitely won't be doing it again anytime soon. I found absolutely nothing special about the pizza. It tasted like a cheap store bought pizza in all honesty. I didn't care for it at all, and I ended up tossing 3/4 of it. Next time I want to prepare it myself, I'll just pick up a Digiorno. Everyone has different tastes, and you can decide for yourself if you like it, but I definitely won't be going back. The staff was really nice, though!! :) read more
