The silly teenage girls that work at this place is why I stopped going. They are rude and not courteous at all. Never a manager on site.

I have dined in and carried out pizza and pasta and we have never been disappointed. The bread sticks are soft and slightly chewy, a real standout. I love the pizza crust. I tried pasta for the first time recently and while I prefer the pizza, the baked spaghetti I ordered was also quite delicious. The interior of the restaurant is a fairly small space without frills but comfortable. The courtyard at the Mellwood arts center where it is located is a great place to eat outdoors in good weather. Danny Mac's has single act and small ensemble live music occasionally which is a nice touch. Ample parking in the arts center parking lot.

And for the first time, we sat in the courtyard just outside its main doors at Mellwood Art Center. On a warm fall night, this was delightful. The kids had enough room to run around a bit, having fun looking at the big art pieces that surround the space, while we could sit, drink beer and eat pizza. The Cracksticks continue to be my absolute favorite. Even if it's just my small family eating dinner from Danny Mac's, these are a carb-filled, dripping-in-garlic must. And we got a basic pepperoni pizza, though the Hawaiian, Chicken Bacon Ranch and Meats pizzas are also delightful. From the crust to the toppings, everything is consistently perfect. Danny Mac's also has decent beer on tap, or you can get a bottle of Ale-8. A true Louisville food staple. So thankful for it.

I was told this was the best pizza in Indiana, well, OK that is a bet I am willing to take to see…read moreif it is true. Ordered a variety of things such as the Meat ball sub (Vienna roll with meatballs, marinara, mozzarella, provolone and onion), the Boneless wings with buffalo sauce, and the BBQ pizza: sausage, cheese, onions and BBQ sauce. The pizza crust is thin and cracker-y like Chicago tavern style and it was just OK, I like a bit more chew to my crust. The wings were fine, your basic nugget with sauce, nothing bad, nothing great. The sub was good, I liked the bread used and the meatballs were a good size and very flavorful. The only thing I had an issue with is that this place really likes to use onion. And not just onion, big pieces of raw onion. It was a lot and really dominated the flavor of the food. It was so heavy handed that were I to come back I would ask to leave it off entirely because I dont even trust that they would listen to a request of "light onion". Overall, OK place, especially if you are an onion lover!

Parking lot is small but there was plenty of room beings it wasn't very busy. Getting prompt service wasn't a problem. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza with a drink and garlic butter. I dined inside this visit and it was clean and organized. It's small but gives you that Pizzaria vibe. It was about a 20 minute wait for the pizza, it was cooked well and had a good crunch. I do like the shredded pepperoni vs round. I wish more places did this, only here and Arnies in New Albany does this shredded pepperoni. It does in a way taste like school cafeteria pizza but, I'm not complaining. I do like the pizza here and plan to return someday when in the area.

Unfortunately, my high praise wasn't deserved. We ordered a side salad and a large Farmers Garden Pizza. We added ground beef and jalapeño. The side salad was a lettuce mix with croutons, diced tomatoes, and cheese. Nothing fancy, but the veggies were cold and crisp. Our Farmers Garden Pizza was ordered with a thin crust. It came out quickly, but certainly not very hot. It was loaded with veggies and sauce, but skimped on cheese. Just as well, because the pie wasn't served hot enough to melt it. Service was good...our server, Miranda, stopped by the table several times to check on us. On the other hand, the greeter lacked any welcoming warmth. Maybe a hand tossed would have been a better choice.

This is a terrific deal, plus it makes us get out of our rut at eating at our favorite place all the time. I will be honest, I have not been to Impellizerri's in years. We've been to Italy and Italian Switzerland many times and love their very thin, fold in your hand pies which have fresh tomato sauce and flavorful local cheese. I was hopeful- Impelliizeris had a thin crust option! Unfortunately, it was as disappointing as I remember. The crust is too doughy, the sauce is bland and the cheese was thick and tasteless. We didn't even eat our leftovers. I don't understand why so many like this, perhaps I should order something else if I return. Just a no from us!

We arrived about 7 on Saturday night, it was busy, but we were able to be seated within 10 min. Amazing location with street parking available. Great selection of Bourbon and beers available, and a great menu. They offer 4 styles of pizza: thin, original, thick, and Sicilian. We went with original, and it was perfect crust, with a chewy edge. Louisville style is two layers of cheese and toppings, with a slightly thicker than thin crust. We loved it, but it's very filling. Lots of leftovers, which is never bad. We always get 16in to maximize our slice to pizza ratio. Service was fast and attentive, their pizzas do take longer than your average, but it was worth it. I think ours took about 25 min.
