A salad is supposed to be cold and crunchy on a hot summer day. Very disappointed. Waitress did not come back to our table once to ask how everything was. Eating out is just not what it used to be.

The best thing about the Main Sub is the sauce that comes on it. It's worth ordering extra sauce in the side. When I was a kid, I would buy one of these every few months or so. My most recent order of a few days ago found me wondering why the deli meat was so tough and difficult to chew. At least the bread tasted fresh. My sister ordered a veggie pizza. It looked fantastic. However, it tasted as if one of the kitchen workers had sprinkled table salt over the top of the pizza. (Yuck. Not every food requires additional salt.) If I ever return, I may order other menu items, but first inquire about the sodium content. Dining choices are fairly limited in Hibbing, but thankfully the Super One grocery store is available. Two and a half stars, rounded down to two stars for ruining our pizza.

The product put out here has continually declined since new ownership, and it's unfortunate being that Rudi's has been a Hibbing staple for so long. You have to know the business, understand the business, and most importantly work the business. It's more than writing checks!

We had Hannah as a server. She came over after about 10 minutes with no one telling us they'll be with us soon. The host sat us but no server told us be right there. When she finally did she said "ok did you want anything ?" With no smile no hello I'm Hannah. Just a plain angry unfriendly face. We all are in the hospitality industry so we smiled and gave her a chance and were polite. She took forever to come back to get our orders and again said a very curt "what do you want" instead of May I take your order or did you have any questions or were you ready to order. She started walking away before we got to say we wanted an app and were ready for entrees I had to stop her while she turned around and said oh sorry we're ready to order too. My parents shared a burger and she said want it cut in half ? But didn't get them a plate or give us plates for the app. Didn't offer refills or check on us. Food was not good. It used to be better. Upon unwrapping my order, there appeared to be nothing visually wrong with it. However, after a few days, one item turned moldy. It turned out that particular item was supposed to have been refrigerated. Unfortunately, the minuscule printing on the packaging was very difficult to notice. I attempted to contact the business about this issue several times, but I was ignored. So much for supporting a small business, I guess.
