The pick up process was very easy and they were very nice. The dining room was full and people were waiting to be seated. Our hostel host pointed us here, and the second we stepped in, we were greeted by Jaguars jerseys on the wall, Mark Brunell and Jimmy Smith. Then we got seated, and right above our table was Fred Taylor's Florida Gators jersey along with a picture of the Swamp. All three of us at the table were Jacksonville guys, so between the Jags gear and the Gators tie-in, it felt like home before we'd even ordered. We all got the wings, and they were excellent. This place oven roasts them first, then fries to crisp up the skin, no breading involved, and that combination does something special to the flavor. Best wings I've had in a while. One of my buddies also ordered a margarita and said it was excellent. Service was great throughout, and the price landed right in that sweet spot, not cheap, but not expensive for what we got either. Fair value across the board. If you're ever in Franklin and want a spot that feels like home even when you're hundreds of miles from it, this is the place.

Service was fast and friendly, and the ambiance inside the old, Main Street building screams elegance.

Group decided on burgers so enter Motor Company Grill. Cute diner style digs with an Americana vibe. Our group started with Fried Pickles, Mushrooms, and Jalapeno Poppers. A simple but nice start. Friends ordered shakes for during and post meal consumption; most were happy with their choices. GF liked her burger but I'm more particular than most I guess. I chose the MC Cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese. Ordered medium rare (it was well done), something was missing from the meat flavor. Lack of seasoning more than anything. They claim hand pressed but I didn't buy that either. Packet mayo..is this a 7-11? Back in my home state of Texas we love a restaurant called Alamo Springs Cafe. I spent $36 on takeout and ordered two dinners, both of which I've had before. My dinner, which I paid extra to have additional vegetables added, was a normal portion and came as expected. My friend's dinner was ordered exactly as it appears on the menu, with no extras. The container was only about halfway filled, had very few vegetables, and was mostly broth/sauce. Honestly, it looked smaller than what I would expect from a lunch portion, let alone a full dinner. That is simply not acceptable. Customers should not have to pay extra just to receive what looks like a normal-sized portion, especially when something is being sold as a dinner entree. I've supported this restaurant for years, and I really hope this was a one-time issue. If this is the new normal for their dinner portions, I would have a hard time justifying ordering that dish again.

No mayo for the bun before it goes on the grill? That's kinda suspect. The burger was alright. It tasted more like a backyard burger with curly fries on the side. To be honest, it paired well with the beers but there's still plenty of room for improvement.
