Using the Papa John's app is fast and easy. The deliver tracker helps you know what is happening. The delivery was fresh and hot. Special pizza with thin crust was good. Chipotle chicken wings have a nice kick. The new jalapeno bites are nice, but a little to much dough for my liking. The delivery guy was friendly and pleasant. Waiting for my delivery that was supposed to be 24-36 minutes according to their app. It's been 93 minutes (1 hr, 33 min) and no word from them at all. I understand things happen and at times businesses are short staffed but this is the usual with this location. I should've learned my lesson. Last time I order. Order delivery they said the don't go into buildings...fair enough....but I live in a house....they won't even get out of their car!!!!!! Terrible Service!! First incident was they delivered the pizza to the wrong location TWICE during the same delivery. It took me over 2 hours to get my then COLD pizza order. I figured "Hey! let me give them another chance I really like Papa John's and everyone makes mistakes". On my second order they delivered the WRONG PIZZA!!!! which had HAM! The food quality is what you expect from Papa Johns. However never ordering from here again. The customer service leaves much to be desired. The delivery driver was very unprofessional. He calls me and says "Hello Papa Johns", I reply yes and he responds "You order Papa Johns", I said yes he says "Yes Papa Johns". At this point I'm assuming hes telling me he is downstairs. I go down and there are 2 guys in the car!? So you telling me 1 of them could not bring my order upstairs? it took a very long time to get my pie - ordered @ 9:00, delivered @ 10:25. i won't complain much, because it was free*. Incredibly coincidentally, this review is 10 years to the day from my last review of this establishment. I actually joined yelp 10 years ago today just to give this Papa John's a review. You can look it up - I gave them a horrible review then, that they so richly deserved. Apparently, their response came 6 years later from ostensibly different management. I figured that things would have improved. HOWEVER, THEY HAVE NOT CHANGED IN 10 YEARS. THEY ARE AWFUL. I ordered online at 7:51 PM. The order was to arrive by approximately 8:30. At 8:49 the driver called and said he won't bring it to my apartment, that I have to meet him in the lobby. I asked why - he said because of the weather. It was lightly raining - there was no hurricane or tropical storm. I told him I only ordered due to an injury and I cannot leave my apartment. So, I continued, if he won't deliver to my apt. - as expressly stated on the website (no-contact delivery at my front door) - then please cancel the order. He then agreed to deliver to my apt. and asked for my apt number (which was weird because he would have had my apt number already from my online order - this leads me to believe that they regularly will not deliver to apartments and don't even bother checking apartment numbers). I gave him my apartment number and he said he'd be right there. He never came. 40 minutes later, at 9:29 I called his cell (which I had from when he called me) and it went straight to voicemail. I called the store and when someone picked up (after the automated system) they immediately hung up. I called back and spoke to a male manager and explained what happened. He said he spoke to the driver already and that the driver claimed my conversation with that driver ended with him saying that he wouldn't bring the food. That was a lie and I told that to the manager. You know, why would I then wait another 40 minutes before I called the store if he had said he just wasn't going to come? I was put on hold for 3-4 minutes. A female manager then picked up (later she said her name was Natasha when I asked her) and she said the driver denied that he said another person would deliver it to me (huh?!). I explained to her that I never said that (so the 1st manager was incorrectly relaying info to the 2nd manager); I explained to her that I had told the 1st manager that the driver himself said he would be right over and then he never showed. I said that that now, at this point in the telephone call, it was over 45 minutes since the driver called me (and over an hour and 45 minutes since I ordered) and I had no food and no one even offered to deliver the food or refund me. No response. I asked for a refund and Natasha then said she was going to process it and it will take 3 days to show on my credit card. No apologies from her or anyone else at the store. I, like an idiot, actually thanked her for processing my refund (which the store should have done automatically without me having to call and ask). I assume this is business-as-usual for them. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE - THEY DO NOT DESERVE ANYONE'S PATRONAGE. read more

If I could possibly give this place zero stars.....I would happily do so. My pizza tastes like cardboard. It's soggy and really hard to chew. I ordered a pie with 1/2 mushrooms and 1/2 pineapple and I have a pie with neither. I had the delivery guy call me telling me he was going to be at my residence in a minute- I was waiting downstairs for 7 minutes; saw his car roll past at full speed blasting music. I then called the store to tell them and they told me to call him. I did. Only to have him yell at me saying he put the wrong address and that my street was a one way and that I NEED to wait.....I just hung up on him. He pulled up with his gf and friend in the backseat, I'm not sure if that was part of his role....but then told me he doesn't have a pen for me to sign and then threw the pizza in my hands and left. Papa John's is good but this location is horrible. Don't waste your time or money!!!! If I could give 0-Stars I would. The Bronx Location 231st street order was the worst encounter I have ever had with papa John's. Food was supposed to be delivered over thirty minutes ago and it was not. I called the store on 231st to find out where my delivery was and supervisor Anthony picked up. The nastiest individual I have ever dealt with in customer relations. He was rude, raised his voice, told me the company is ok with the driver sitting in their car four buildings away from my building so that I can walk to driver to get my food. I explained I have a toddler and a newborn and cannot walk all the way outside to pick up food but I am willing to meet the driver downstairs and the supervisor Anthony once again told me that "what you want me to do if you don't like it take it or leave it". Horrible customer service. This is the second time I ordered from this location and my pizza came wrong. Had to make multiple attempts to get in contact with someone from the store because they kept placing me on hold. When I finally got in contact with the alleged manager, she refused to redo my order and said she made it herself so she knows it's right. Will never order from this location again. Horrible Papa John's. I placed an order on there app and expected it to be delivered to my door, the delivery guy wouldn't bring it up. Apparently they only deliver to lobby if you live in a building. It's insane and silly, part of the deliver to info is Apt/Suite. Why ask for that info or call yourself delivery if you are not committed to doing so. What makes it worse is that there is a service fee and I had given an additional tip. Delivery is delivery, if you can not meet what you advertise you shouldn't say your delivery. You should clearly advertise "we delivery to front of building". On there app and site it claims to be a grand opening, get ready for a grand closing with this kind of service. read more

Pizza was fine but the staff is an absolute disgrace, starting with waiting 5 minutes before someone asked me if I needed to order. During my 15 minutes there, I witnessed staff go about their regular conversations, leave a customer on hold for so long they ended up hanging up, and loudly discussing their customers in front of me, another customer. FYI, these kids think they are "training" customers into giving them tips by purposely bringing orders late and telling them that if they want better service, they need to tip. Newsflash: provide better service and customers WILL tip. I will never go back again. They need an entire new staff, starting from management. There was an older employee there who appeared to be a manager/supervisor, and all they did was join in on the conversation and loudly talk about a female customer as she waited for her food.
