it took a very long time to get my pie - ordered @ 9:00, delivered @ 10:25. i won't complain much, because it was free*. [thanks super bowl coin toss] - my thoughts: papa john's is just as crappy as domino's.. without the heartburn.. anyhow, i digress because i'm still flabbergasted that domino's and papa john's can exist in NYC.. *free = $1.86 delivery charge + tip = $6.00 for a large frozen pizza that i didn't have to heat up myself and a two liter of sierra mist = win? read more

Food came hot and it was 15 minute delivery time! Great service! Everything was good.

Using the Papa John's app is fast and easy. The deliver tracker helps you know what is happening. The delivery was fresh and hot. Special pizza with thin crust was good. Chipotle chicken wings have a nice kick. The new jalapeno bites are nice, but a little to much dough for my liking. The delivery guy was friendly and pleasant. No issues with our order and it seems like they have improved over some of the comments with others reviews. No reason for us not to us them again! read more

The overall experience in this Papa Johns is second to none. The staff was extremely helpful. The manager (Natasha), provided a fun pizza ordering experience and brings tons of good energy to the restaurant. The restaurant is kept very clean and tidy which definitely translates into how good the food was! read more

Papa Johns Pizza - Pepperoni pizza pie - Pizza Near Me - Bronx, New York

Waiting for my delivery that was supposed to be 24-36 minutes according to their app. It's been 93 minutes (1 hr, 33 min) and no word from them at all. I understand things happen and at times businesses are short staffed but this is the usual with this location. I should've learned my lesson. Last time I order. It would've been quicker to make my own pizza from scratch at home! read more

Order delivery they said the don't go into buildings...fair enough....but I live in a house....they won't even get out of their car!!!!!! Then they forgot My order and when I called to check an 90mins later where the remainder of my order was they refuse to answer the phone. Staff are incompetent, obviously the management here is the same. read more

Thank God for Papa John's in Kingsbridge!!! Papa John's is the best pizza in my opinion, in the area... $10 large any amount of toppings pizza pies, who's beating that? Service is good and, but the pizza... OMG... lol :) TAKE NOTE: DELIVERY ENDS AT 11:40PM! read more

If you like Pizza don't order from this place. I've given this place more chances than I'm comfortable admitting. Not sure what the delivery guy was doing today but we received a messy oval that accompanied with the terrible sub par taste was the last straw. BEWARE! read more

Papa Johns Pizza - This is what you get when you try ordering from this place. Absolute disaster. - Pizza Near Me - Bronx, New York

Sigh...why do I do this to myself? It must be the non-NYer in me getting nostalgic, with so many fond memories of Papas. But this is NY and Papa don't roll here. It's pick-up I tell myself. They can't mess up pick-up. I drive up, double-park and call in an order and am told 10-15 minutes. After 20 minutes I run in and find out they forgot to make my pie...so now they will start and I'll get a free drink, how great. Meanwhile, I'm waiting another 20 minutes... read more

The food quality is what you expect from Papa Johns. However never ordering from here again. The customer service leaves much to be desired. The delivery driver was very unprofessional. He calls me and says "Hello Papa Johns", I reply yes and he responds "You order Papa Johns", I said yes he says "Yes Papa Johns". At this point I'm assuming hes telling me he is downstairs. I go down and there are 2 guys in the car!? So you telling me 1 of them could not bring my order upstairs? To make matters worse, the one sitting on the passenger's side starts cat calling at a girl who happens to walk by while I'm waiting for them to hand me my pizza. Ultimately, I still gave him a tip anyway out of pity and be aware they charge a $2.50 delivery fee as well. read more

Terrible Service!! First incident was they delivered the pizza to the wrong location TWICE during the same delivery. It took me over 2 hours to get my then COLD pizza order. I figured "Hey! let me give them another chance I really like Papa John's and everyone makes mistakes". On my second order they delivered the WRONG PIZZA!!!! which had HAM! I am severely allergic to HAM. Do yourself a favor and order from somewhere else or starve, starving would literally be better than ordering from this place. read more

Last time o ordered for delivery I canceled my order because the delivery driver dint want to bring the pizza to the building door , one more customer lost , if you are delivering at least bring it to the building door I truly understand for their security they can not enter to the building but Im not going to your delivery card to get my pizza for my own security too. read more

Oh well, on top of the surly staff that seemed more interested in carrying on their inside conversation while I tried to order, the pizza sucked and was over priced. Now, as I'm walking home the other nght I see a great big, green "B" in the window! WTF...how the hell does a brand new place get a B rating? Something ain't right about this Papa John's...beware! read more

Good food. Great customer service, Thank you Jessica

Incredibly coincidentally, this review is 10 years to the day from my last review of this establishment. I actually joined yelp 10 years ago today just to give this Papa John's a review. You can look it up - I gave them a horrible review then, that they so richly deserved. Apparently, their response came 6 years later from ostensibly different management. I figured that things would have improved. HOWEVER, THEY HAVE NOT CHANGED IN 10 YEARS. THEY ARE AWFUL. I ordered online at 7:51 PM. The order was to arrive by approximately 8:30. At 8:49 the driver called and said he won't bring it to my apartment, that I have to meet him in the lobby. I asked why - he said because of the weather. It was lightly raining - there was no hurricane or tropical storm. I told him I only ordered due to an injury and I cannot leave my apartment. So, I continued, if he won't deliver to my apt. - as expressly stated on the website (no-contact delivery at my front door) - then please cancel the order. He then agreed to deliver to my apt. and asked for my apt number (which was weird because he would have had my apt number already from my online order - this leads me to believe that they regularly will not deliver to apartments and don't even bother checking apartment numbers). I gave him my apartment number and he said he'd be right there. He never came. 40 minutes later, at 9:29 I called his cell (which I had from when he called me) and it went straight to voicemail. I called the store and when someone picked up (after the automated system) they immediately hung up. I called back and spoke to a male manager and explained what happened. He said he spoke to the driver already and that the driver claimed my conversation with that driver ended with him saying that he wouldn't bring the food. That was a lie and I told that to the manager. You know, why would I then wait another 40 minutes before I called the store if he had said he just wasn't going to come? I was put on hold for 3-4 minutes. A female manager then picked up (later she said her name was Natasha when I asked her) and she said the driver denied that he said another person would deliver it to me (huh?!). I explained to her that I never said that (so the 1st manager was incorrectly relaying info to the 2nd manager); I explained to her that I had told the 1st manager that the driver himself said he would be right over and then he never showed. I said that that now, at this point in the telephone call, it was over 45 minutes since the driver called me (and over an hour and 45 minutes since I ordered) and I had no food and no one even offered to deliver the food or refund me. No response. I asked for a refund and Natasha then said she was going to process it and it will take 3 days to show on my credit card. No apologies from her or anyone else at the store. I, like an idiot, actually thanked her for processing my refund (which the store should have done automatically without me having to call and ask). I assume this is business-as-usual for them. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE - THEY DO NOT DESERVE ANYONE'S PATRONAGE. read more

If I could possibly give this place zero stars.....I would happily do so. My pizza tastes like cardboard. It's soggy and really hard to chew. I ordered a pie with 1/2 mushrooms and 1/2 pineapple and I have a pie with neither. I had the delivery guy call me telling me he was going to be at my residence in a minute- I was waiting downstairs for 7 minutes; saw his car roll past at full speed blasting music. I then called the store to tell them and they told me to call him. I did. Only to have him yell at me saying he put the wrong address and that my street was a one way and that I NEED to wait.....I just hung up on him. He pulled up with his gf and friend in the backseat, I'm not sure if that was part of his role....but then told me he doesn't have a pen for me to sign and then threw the pizza in my hands and left. Dominos has terrible customer service but at least their pizza makes up for it. Never again. read more

Papa John's is good but this location is horrible. Don't waste your time or money!!!! If I could give 0-Stars I would. The Bronx Location 231st street order was the worst encounter I have ever had with papa John's. Food was supposed to be delivered over thirty minutes ago and it was not. I called the store on 231st to find out where my delivery was and supervisor Anthony picked up. The nastiest individual I have ever dealt with in customer relations. He was rude, raised his voice, told me the company is ok with the driver sitting in their car four buildings away from my building so that I can walk to driver to get my food. I explained I have a toddler and a newborn and cannot walk all the way outside to pick up food but I am willing to meet the driver downstairs and the supervisor Anthony once again told me that "what you want me to do if you don't like it take it or leave it". This is poor customer service and I will never order from papa Johns again. read more

Papa Jhons is a place specialized in Italian food with good quality in the elaboration with food to take away and home delivery, but the prices are exaggerated in knowledge with other sites with the same quality! read more

Horrible Papa John's. I placed an order on there app and expected it to be delivered to my door, the delivery guy wouldn't bring it up. Apparently they only deliver to lobby if you live in a building. It's insane and silly, part of the deliver to info is Apt/Suite. Why ask for that info or call yourself delivery if you are not committed to doing so. What makes it worse is that there is a service fee and I had given an additional tip. Delivery is delivery, if you can not meet what you advertise you shouldn't say your delivery. You should clearly advertise "we delivery to front of building". On there app and site it claims to be a grand opening, get ready for a grand closing with this kind of service. read more

Horrible customer service. This is the second time I ordered from this location and my pizza came wrong. Had to make multiple attempts to get in contact with someone from the store because they kept placing me on hold. When I finally got in contact with the alleged manager, she refused to redo my order and said she made it herself so she knows it's right. Will never order from this location again. This location needs all of its staff re-trained from managers down or needs to be shut down all together. read more

They are fucking horrible. I ordered through seamless and these idiots lost my order on super bowl Sunday. The horrible. My order never came over an 2 hours whiting after I placed the order, I called papa john's after 1 hours employee from Papa John's very bad customer service , DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. THE FOOD ARRIVES VERY LATE AND IF YOU DARE COMPLAIN YOU WILL BE VERBALLY ASSAULTED read more

On the night of a boxing fight only two delivery people. One bike and one in a car. I am still waiting 2 hours later. Really!

The worse pizza ever! This locations staff is extremely unprofessional. I usually do not complain about service but I am compelled to do so for this place. Unprofessional staff, took the wrong order, Sent an incomplete order and were very uncooperative about refunding my money. Order elsewhere!!!! read more

Pizza was fine but the staff is an absolute disgrace, starting with waiting 5 minutes before someone asked me if I needed to order. During my 15 minutes there, I witnessed staff go about their regular conversations, leave a customer on hold for so long they ended up hanging up, and loudly discussing their customers in front of me, another customer. FYI, these kids think they are "training" customers into giving them tips by purposely bringing orders late and telling them that if they want better service, they need to tip. Newsflash: provide better service and customers WILL tip. I will never go back again. They need an entire new staff, starting from management. There was an older employee there who appeared to be a manager/supervisor, and all they did was join in on the conversation and loudly talk about a female customer as she waited for her food. Also as someone else noted, this establishment is barely a year old and already has a B rating. Something is wrong here. read more
