Purchased $10 of non refundable tokens for the self serve car wash. Some of the detergent only came out as water the foaming soap nothing. Wax nothing just the high pressure soap. Spotless rinse didn't work had to use high pressures. Also detergent leaked down the hose from the top of the wash. Huge disappointment was the "dryer". Handle was broken and put together by black electrical tape. Pressure was awful. Made due and with plenty of elbow grease I got a clean car. read more

Been coming here for years. It's rare for me to need to use the car wash facilities. Today it was necessary. Also decided to fill up and thought "what the hell, might as well clean the windows while I wait for $200 worth of Diesel to fill my tank. No paper towels. Asked the clerk. His response, "we don't do that anymore." Got it. Cool. Now I don't fill my truck up here anymore. It's not a lot to ask. Literally laughing at me with guys at the garage from watching a brown man buy $25 worth of their tokens due to having to try 3 different car wash bay's with nothing even coming out of the pressure washer with time eating away. Worst customer service ever! Called and talked to DAN the owner at 1:45pm, he said to bring in my car at 3pm, after he talked to his mechanic. So I drive my car down there in this weather with shoddy brakes and all he can ask is if I am going to leave the car with him or bring it back tomorrow. WTF? His mechanic is a TOOL and won't work on my car because it's snowing outside! I flipped him off on the way out the door and this tool comes outside like he wants to fight. You should have known that by watching the weather you idiot! Don't do business with these people. They are losers! Furthermore, Dan called me back this morning after I left him a message on his website. He did not apologize to me for what happened. I went in for a car wash and was waiting in line just behind another customer, who happened to be a Black man. He made his purchase and left, polite as could be. As soon as he was out the door, the older white man who was working, and said he was the owner, started commenting on the fact that he was wearing a necklace and it could get stolen. Weird, but just trying to pay for my car wash. He then said, "I don't see color, I was raised to be color blind", and I knew I was about the hear the most racist crap I'd heard in a while, and I did. He started going off on how groups of people of color (not what he said) would go into stores and just steal everything and that's why stores were leaving Seattle. I said that wasn't true, stores were leaving because shrink was increasing, not due to outside theft, but corporate mismanagement and some internal (employee) theft. I also said that I grew up in a very white area, and my white class mates had no trouble stealing from stores, but I suppose that doesn't matter. Man I rarely write reviews but this one really got me mad. First and last time customer. (after reading the reviews I'm not surprised) Stopped in to wash my van at the self serve. I got out and had to use the bathroom. Not seeing one near the self serve I intuitively migrated towards "lube-a-Lot" thinking they are tied to the car wash. Before I even get up to the door a man comes out and stops me and says "can I help you?".. and I said "yeah I just need to use your restroom" he proceeds to block the door and says "bathrooms are for customers only, go up to the gas station" so I said "I'm getting a car wash, does that count as a customer?" And then he said "nope, we aren't tied together". So this guys makes me walk all the way up to gas station to use bathroom. Ok that ticked-me off a little bit I let it go. I was planning on getting an oil change afterwards but not anymore. Once I returned to the self serve OMG was it a nightmare. First off none of the cleaning chemicals were working right. The degreaser is barely coming out... I mean Barely. It's suppose to be low pressure but there was something wrong. So I switch over to the the foam. The foam is barely spitting out. It literally takes me 10 minutes to cover entire vehicle because it's spitting out like a dying faucet. Just random bursts of foam every few seconds. So then I switch to foam brush and I'm sitting there for a few minutes and there is no foam coming out. I had no choice to switch to water to wash it off and get the hell out of there. After everything I was up to like 25 minutes. So then I press stop and it continues to count up. So then I'm thinking maybe it's in increments of five minutes. So I stayed until 30 minutes and it continues to count up. I walked around little bit of time to find someone to help but there's no one here. (I not dare go over to the lube-a-lot).. so I press stop numerous times again and once it was at 35 minutes I pressed a little green button on the credit card machine and that's when It stopped. The instructions said to press the stop button to stop the time but it did not work. $19 bucks.. Again I don't usually write reviews but I had to on this one. If anyone there is reading this please update your machines and maintain the equipment properly. Also if lube-a-Lot is connected to the car wash then please Let us paying customers use their restroom, instead of walking all the way up to the gas station. if they are not a part of the car wash then maybe try to make a deal with them? I don't think I'm a snob. That said, maybe Brown Bears in the area have spoiled me. This place is the biggest dump I have ever spent my hard-earned money. And I've been to some bad to dive bars. My car came out dirty. There were streaks of dried soap on the side of the car that I can't get off and may need polish. The wheels, of course, look like somebody had dragged a towel over them and nothing more. My wheels are factory but they are not difficult to clean. Then I pulled around to dry off the car because their "dryer" sucks. Nothing. Not one towel. I spent $16.25 and got ripped off. My car would've looked better if I had just stood back and peed the dirt off. If you have a choice between driving a dirty car, driving to Seattle for a proper wash or going to Papa Bears choose either of the first two options. Don't get ripped off. read more

This car wash is trash I washed my car for 11min and they charged. $25. That is BS and the equipment they have for you to use is junk. Kinks in the hose and the foam brush barely barley puts out any soap. I would not recommend this car wash to anyone!!! Find a different one and save $$ and frustration. read more

Some kid took seriously 2 minutes to write down my license plate number, when I asked him if he could start the wash (mind u it's July 4th) because we had some where to be he copped a huge attitude, ok he's a teenager working on the 4th , but come on. He's so mad he gives me a lesser wash than I paid for and didn't dry my car. So I call but the manager is busy . I leave a message and they don't call back. So I call again tell them I didn't get what I paid for. The person that claims to be the manager had no clue !!!! Never offered an apology or refund or even a rewash . Bottom line stay away ! It's hard to wash your car with no f***ing soap. I pulled up to the first bay to wash my car and hit high pressure soap. Nope. I essentially just had to spray my car with water, wipe it down, and spray it again with water. Ontop of that, There is garbage laying around the bay, outside the bay, and in other bays. Even if you don't read this review - don't go here. Well, I guess I am another in a list of dozens of 1 star reviews. My wife purchased me a car wash and texted a photo of the receipt. I came in to claim it and they said you need the receipt (there IS a code on the receipt for accounting I assume). I went into the gas station to ask them generate me one and they said they couldn't because each receipt is kept. So I guess they just have thousands of 3inx1in slips of paper that they count up every year. Left without a car wash, not sure where the hard copy is. Lesson learned. read more

I've been here (self-serve section) 3 times since moving to SnoCo Bothell from Woody 3 years ago. Used to use Splash & Dash in Woody. It has one advantage over Splash, you can use a card so you don't have to guess how long it's going to take you and hope you've loaded enough coins, you just press a button when done. Your card will show an initial default charge of $10 till after 5 PM the next biz day. My first two times turned out to be under $6 each time, I expect today's will be 6 or 7 bucks as I took much more time (crossover was quite dirty). Downside(s)? As a Yelpette pointed out in a 2016 posting, one bay has several spray leaks in a connection on the wand soaking me thoroughly (good thing the water was cold; Splash uses very warm water), glad it wasn't the middle of winter (has this been going on since 2016 or even much longer w/o repair?). Also, high pressure spray doesn't stop when trigger was released, when you press the foaming brush button there's a delay in transfer. I put the wand back in its sleeve and it shot out, wildly wrapping the hose around my body, very dangerous and a potential lawsuit. So you have to wait several seconds after pressing the brush button holding the wand down before crossing to the other side to get the brush, a waste of time & money. There were several other examples of lack of maintenance, like the overhead arms not returning to the wall when released, impeding the other arm's movement (was 3rd bay from the right when facing west). No website or phone number to report these things; I'm sure going to the convenience store clerk would be useless, I'd bet any notes taken by the clerk would end up in the round file before I got back to my car. I'll be looking for a new place, maybe I'll try Clean Planet in Woody if it's not too pricey. read more

So I went to the self car wash at papa bears. Turned on the high pressure wash and the sprayer shot of the holster and struck me in my leg then hit my car then struck me in the leg again. Put a big dent on my 2018 Kia Forte sport, the car is brand new. I contact the clerk at the shell station, she was very rude nor did she care. I left I'm information with them to have the owner contact me. Contact Geico and they advised that I get a quote for repairs. First quote 783.00 to repair the dent. So right now I'm sitting in the urgent care, having my leg looked at. I warned 6 people not to use that bay. I advised the clerk to put a out of order sign on that bay but she ignore me. DO NOT COME TO THIS AUTO SHOP!!!! I have to say, I am pissed. I was there for a simple oil change a few days ago on my 2015 GMC Terrain. Today i leave for work and see oil all over my driveway. On my way home from work my car is jerking/lurching forward when i come to a stop. Then i get an alarm saying "Engine Power Reduced" and it sounded like there were LEGO's inside of my engine. Soon after that my car wont go faster than 25MPH. Then it just shuts down completely on the side of the road. I checked my oil and the dipstick was bone dry. After I tow my car home, I went to O'rileys (in a different car) to get more oil. After I put it in and start the car, it immediately starts leaking oil. After hours of looking for a leak in my oil tank and elsewhere, i realize these idiots didn't screw in the new oil filter all the way. It wasnt even FINGER TIGHT! If it weren't for GMC's safety features (shutting down the car before it got too hot) I would have hundreds of dollars in repairs just because they didnt check to make sure the filter was on tight before they were finished. If you care about your car, find somewhere else to go. read more

I tried to speak with a manager, but the manager said they reserve the right to kick anyone off the car wash. It all seemed very sketchy. i had a terrible experience here. I was refused a car wash after driving a foot into the alignment rails.... i was scolded for not reading the sign properly and told to leave without getting a car wash. When i went inside the gas station to get a $15 refund after being denied service, the attendant made the comment that the manager and car wash attendees act like "a holes" now and again and this is a common occurence. I've never been denied service in this manner before. I highly recommend staying away from the gas station, oil change lot, and definitely the car wash. read more

First time through There was no wax in the spare after paying $12 in the dirt bag owner gave me an attitude. 2nd time through today I paid $15 there's no foam or soap in the sprayer. This place is covered in trash the owner as a complete jerk and I was denied a refund on a shoddy sprayer because I paid cash versus credit. Wouldn't think I would need to read a review on a car wash but guess I was wrong. Stay away from this place is a complete rip off and the owner is a crook. Very nice staff, they do get the car clean. sometimes left with spot's, but I let them know this time and they did a better job. Their store is always very clean, and I am helped immediately when I walk in. They will usually give me a coupon for discounted oil change at the gargage next to the car wash, but I haven't tried that out yet. read more

You are better off having a dirty car than wasting your money here. I gave them two chances, and always left mad at myself for not listening to the other bad reviews. The machine is a joke. A good rainy day does just about the same. Each time the staff makes it a hassle and inconvenience to use them. So sad Bothell has not one good car wash. read more
