Came here for a small birthday dinner and everything was a 10/10! The vibes, the servers, the drinks, the food and the decor -- no complaints! The Kimchi Shrimp is a man absolute must but everything was delicious

A sucker for Peruvian food here...and any day or time. We were so happy with Panko in NoDa! The service excellent, food presentation and taste very unique, and ambiance cosy! The 'Shells On Fire' and a Pisco Sour were my top favs. But the sushi is really good, they have some awesome rolls. And I absolutely love the plates they serve on, heavy stone granite. Took some cool videos as well that you can go check out on Insta - @foodievida I think this one will be a keeper in the Charlotte food scene!

This was an incredible place from tip to toe We were lucky to call for reservation that night and they did (after a small payment that later went to our check, which is fair) The cocktails were on another level. Worth going just to try them all out. Food wise the ceviches were amazing. Would love to go again. There was a dj playing some kind of EDM but not noisy enough were you had to tell 100% recommended

Very cool new concept in Noda with a wide selection of seafood, poultry and beef dishes. It was very delicious. A somewhat limited cocktail menu, however they have a full bar and can make any drink upon request. Wonderful decor and the wait staff was very friendly. I'll be back to try a few different things.

Really delicious offerings here. I loved the Inca Mixed Ceviche - fresh flavor and beautiful presentation. The tuna nigiri was served with a pico on top and flavorful sauce. I liked the atmosphere, but did find it loud and the flashing DJ booth to be a lot for a 6:15 reservation (would have expected that a bit later in the evening.) Margaritas were good, but other cocktail offerings were pricey and I do wish sangria was available by the glass instead of carafe only. I hope they'll make some updates as they go - maybe some more variety to their rolls to exclude cream cheese as there was only one without it. Great new addition to Noda!

I LOVE Peruvian food so I was super excited to see Panko was opening this week. I immediately got a reservation as soon as they were available, and off we went. Unfortunately it just wasn't for me and I don't plan on going back. It really comes down to a few things - menu, atmosphere, and drinks. To sum it up, it felt more like club food than a refined restaurant, the drinks were overly sweet, and there's a neon flashing pyramid/triangle in the middle of the dining room. "Immature" is probably too harsh, but it feels like it's targeted to a college age crowd that's wowed by faux luxury. The amount of cream cheese on the menu was surprising lol. The best thing about our experience was the service - our server was incredibly nice and friendly, she was enthusiastic about the dishes and treated us extremely well. We started with the Shells on Fire and the Loin Bonbons. The Shells on Fire was a good start, the seafood and sauce all tasted great. The Loin Bonbons didn't really do much for me, they were fine. The "house" cocktail lineup was also a little cringy - all of them basically included syrup and juice, and they were served in specialty mugs/cups that added to the campiness of it all. I can see what they were going for, but (in my opinion) the decision makers lack sophistication and taste. It felt touristy. Next came the Lomo Saltado, and unfortunately the beef was tough and overcooked even though we requested medium-rare. The sauce/gravy was nice. My favorite dish by far, and the only dish I would order again was the Evil Eby Niguiri. The prawns and sauce worked extremely well together and it was easily the most refined dish of the night. We also got the Tuna Niguiri but the tuna was a little bland and overall not close to the Evil Eby. We ended with the Flan (Crema Volteada). It was extra dense compared to what I'm used to. I appreciate living in a city that's getting new restaurants and chefs popping up and I'm glad Panko is here. But if you're looking for the best Peruvian food in Charlotte, I highly recommend Yunta and La Lima. They're still some of the best restaurants Charlotte has to offer.

SO GOOD!!!! I've been waiting months for this NoDa Peruvian spot to open, and it was absolutely worth it. Right away, the endless plantain chips and sauce set the tone -- dangerous in the best way. The lemonades are really good, even though they taste nothing like traditional lemonade. Honestly, that works. This place is a mocktail / sober-life sweet spot, and the drink prices are solid. Now the food. The food delivers. I had the Peruvian stew and it was outstanding -- rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. You'd regret not getting it -- my friend did! She ordered the pasta and enjoyed it, though she mentioned it leaned a bit salty. We also tried a sushi roll and it was excellent -- fresh and well balanced. Service was another highlight. The wait staff and management were welcoming, attentive, and clearly care about the experience. The only reason this isn't five stars: a guest was allowed to bring a dog inside and sit down. I'm a dog dad, so I get it -- but in an upscale dining space, it didn't fit the overall vibe or aesthetic. Overall, this is a strong addition to NoDa and a place I'll definitely return to. With a little tighter attention to the atmosphere, this could easily be a five-star spot.

How's that for some great presentation?!

I had the Niko roll and it was delicious! The place is full of energy, with a DJ. Maybe a little loud for this older person but the patio is quieter. It is great to have an option like this in NoDa!

We had a fantastic meal at Panko! The restaurant had a great vibe, the service was very good even though it was a busy Friday night, and both the food and drinks were stellar! I loved how many pisco mix drink options they had, and got a hot wine which was delicious. We got two ceviche dishes to share, and I had the Caribbean seafood rice bowl, and every bite was amazing. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

My kids and I treated ourselves to an amazing meal at Panko, an Asian/Peruvian restaurant with a fantastic menu! We had some Nigiri and 3 rolls and everything was delicious and fresh!

Good food, the service is questionable. We reserved table three weeks in advance and we got seated at a table in a corner, then we're told we need to move. Not a good first impression. Our server was nice, but not attentive at all. We waited a long time to get waters and cocktails for a restaurant that was maybe 70% full. They brought the wrong dish two separate occasions. They sat another couple at the table that we were originally seated at thirty minutes after us, to have the seat touching our table! Great planning and exceptional customer service (joking). Finally, the ambiance was dark and they turned the lights down so you could only see the DJ booth blinking throughout the meal. You need to do something about that Panko. Now to the good stuff, the food was delicious. We split 5 different plates and everyone was delicious in their own way. The food was good, everything else has room for improvement.

This was my first time dining at Panko, a Peruvian fusion restaurant in Charlotte, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was clean and inviting. Although the space is intimate, it never felt crowded or like we were too close to other parties. There were two servers on the floor along with the manager, and all of them stopped by our table to make sure we had everything we needed. It didn't feel overwhelming at all--just very attentive and personal. The servers were extremely knowledgeable about the menu and did a great job explaining what made each dish unique. We started with a shareable drink and the Loin Bonbons, which were a great appetizer. For our entrees, we ordered the Barranquino sirloin and the mushroom risotto with chicken breast. Both dishes were full of flavor. The sirloin was cooked perfectly to order, and the mashed potatoes were smooth and delicious. The mushroom risotto was the best I've had! If you're looking for a great nonalcoholic drink, I highly recommend the pineapple-coconut lemonade--it was refreshing and well-balanced. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning.

A New Sushi Obsession: 5 Stars for a Flawless First Visit!…read more It's rare that a first-time visit completely knocks it out of the park, but this place is doing something special. If you are a sushi lover, stop reading this and just go. The Starters We kicked things off with the Tora Poke Tuna appetizer, and honestly, I could have ordered three more and called it a night. The fish was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and had that melt-in-your-mouth quality that sets great sushi apart from the "just okay" spots. The Roll Breakdown The sushi rolls here are creative, generous with the portions, and--most importantly--high quality. * Tuna on Tuna Roll: For the purists who can't get enough, this is a masterpiece. Double the tuna, double the flavor. It really showcased the freshness of their catch. * Queen Charlotte Roll: I'll be honest, I was on the fence about the strawberry salsa. Fruit on sushi can be a gamble, but trust me: it is a must-try. The sweetness of the salsa cuts through the richness of the fish perfectly. It's a total flavor bomb. * Carolina Roll: I really liked this one, though it's definitely the "indulgent" choice. It's fried and features cream cheese, which I loved, but it's worth noting that it's quite heavy. If you aren't a fan of tempura-style or creamy rolls, it might not be your vibe--but if you are, it's a home run. The Verdict The atmosphere was great, the service was attentive, and the food was phenomenal. It's safe to say I've found my new favorite spot. 1000% will be back to see what else they have up their sleeve!

It was a lot of fun but there are definitely some things that would have made this experience a little smoother for us. Overall, the price is very reasonable when split between the group. One very easy and good improvement would be to move the TV screen to the back of the room. It's positioned in the same area as the "stage" so everyone had to turn their backs to read the lyrics which just felt silly. For a room fit for 25, more mics are needed! I think it's 2 per room regardless of the size. The most frustrating part of our experience is that our YouTube queue was somehow shared with another room's. We would add songs, they would delete them. Random songs would show up in our queue, we would delete them. We didn't realize it until about 20 minutes in. When we told an employee about this, they weren't aware and didn't know what to do about it, but that's definitely something that needs to be sorted out for a better experience. Space-wise it's definitely pretty cramped although you could say that it made things more intimate. Food was good though! I've also had a lot of karaoke experiences where tambourines are included for added fun. Definitely wasn't expecting this, but that could be a fun addition! Overall I've had better karaoke room experiences but I would still go back again and recommend to anyone who's never done this before!

Came here with a group of ~20 friends to do a karaoke night. We had a lot of fun as a group, but…read morethe actual karaoke experience was not great. My feedback: 1. Add more mics in each room - there were only 2 mics in our room. When I did this style of karaoke before there were 5 or 6 mics so it was easy for the whole group to participate. Our room only had 2 mics. Yes we could share and everyone was able to sing along even if they didn't have a mic, but being able to sing into the mic and pretend you're a pop star while you're up on stage is part of the fun. 2. Rearrange the TV screens/furniture - the "stage" area is on the same wall as the TV, so whoever was singing had to turn their back on the audience to look at the words. 3. Fix the song queuing experience and train staff on how to use/troubleshoot - our group's songs kept disappearing from the queue, and we figured out about halfway through our session that there was a technical issue resulting in two different rooms adding songs to the same queue. When we asked the staff for help they had no idea how to fix the issue. These things are all pretty important to the karaoke experience, so we won't be coming back to this location. However, the rooms at the Noda location are set up a lot better, so we'll probably try there if we go again.
