We got there about an hour prior to closing, but figured a wood fired pizza can't take all that long. The server Abigale was very quick, polite and obviously well trained. We ordered a bottle of Chianti along with a Caprese salad. The lovely K an Al Pesto pizza and I the Hawaiian. I know there is a big debate about pineapple on a pizza, but we are here at home not in Italy. The salad was excellent, the wine very nice, and the pizza's were divine. They were crunchy, well topped and cooked perfectly for us. Having spent the month of March in the south of Italy this year we've eaten a fair amount of pizza, this experience took us right back. It wasn't long that we were the only ones in the place and the owner came by the check on us while he mopped the floors. The place was being cleaned by all the staff along with the owner, you don't see that often. He moved from India to Italy and finally here to Canada. We're glad he did! 100% Recommended!! We will be back for sure!

Being a family business, the employees genuinely care about the service given and it shows. The lighting is perfect for my wife and I (she is on the spectrum and can't do bright lights.) We got the focaccia and the bruschetta. We ended up putting the tomatoes that fell off the bread onto the focaccia and it was incredible. We came back later, got more bruschetta, a margherita di bufalo pizza and a glass of the mazzei chianti! Perfect pairing! We ended with an affogato and tiramisu (the server's mother's secret recipe!!!!) Also want to add they have a wonderful patio section with plentiful seating!

Caputo flour, San Marzano tomatoes, etc. You can buy a small or large bag of Caputo flour there. Both the Casesar salad and Bufala Arugula salad were really good. I liked the Casesar better but others like the Bufala better. All the pizzas were really good. Great thin crispy and chewy crust. The margherita is classic. My favorite was probably the Americano. Others liked the Carne-Val. It had a little kick to it. The primavera was good but probably my least favorite. The chef said he is in preparing to get his AVPN certification. I used to go here a few times per week but now I only go once in a blue moon. When the new owner/manager took over, he jacked up the prices and cut back the store hours. With the exception of a few really awesome staff members, the service became much less friendly as well. Lately, the quality of their pizza has taken a nosedive. I used to alway be blown away by the amount of cheese on their pizza but now they are so stingy with it that there are bald spots on the pizza. They used to be very generous with their toppings but now they are very sparse. For example, they used to put big chunks of feta on their pizza. Now, even if I pay for extra I really have to go out of my way to find any traces of it. Don't get me wrong, their pizza is still good but it is nowhere near the gourmet pizza it used to be. When I go to pick my pizza up, I pay with cash and the staff are often forced to make change with their tip jar because the owner/manager doesn't provide them with a proper float. I just tell them not to worry about it or just put the change back into the tip jar. I expect my tips to go to the hardworking staff! I find it appalling that the tips I give them are being used to make change for customers instead! This has happened on multiple occasions.
