He was down to earth and took time to get to know us. The lobby was decorated nicely (but not crazy). After signing our forms and getting a briefing, we received a story about the room and were placed into a very cool bio lab. From there on, the room was DIFFICULT. We had 4 players altogether and it was tough! We were one puzzle away from winning the game but our time ran out! Definitely don't overthink everything which you can easily do. I personally love a room that is immersive and this room made me feel like I was THERE. The story was consistent and generally logical. There was a good amount of puzzles and they were challenging/satisfying! Oh and Christian was an absolute GEM! WHAT SETS IT APART: One of our members had a different starting place and our first mission was to get her out. Unfortunately for us, we picked the smartest one so it probably took us a bit longer than it should have... it was still different and fun! BONES TO PICK: Our person that was separated felt a little helpless and wished there was more she could do while the others flailed trying to release her. She wasn't sitting there twiddling her thumbs but she couldn't do as much as she would have wanted to. Also, this is minor but we aren't used to having to use an item more than once after its helped solve a different puzzle. For Veterans, just make sure you throw the "one and done" rule away. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The puzzles for the most part make sense and were solvable. The room used some technology and everything appeared to work correctly. Room was linear for a lot of it but did have sections where several activities could be completed at once. I'd say it was medium difficulty we asked for one hint and finished with 3 minutes to spare. I'd definitely return to try out the other two rooms at this location.

Our package included a breakfast buffet and I received so many compliments on the food. Everyone had a blast in the rooms - especially the bridal party. Rob was so easy to work with - accommodating us with literally ANYTHING we needed and allowed us more than enough time to set up and hang out after the party. The party room was a perfect size (we had 45-50 people) and we were able to make it our own with our lock & key theme. This is where you are abducted and you wake up in a stranger's closet, which you have to escape from! I thought the storyline was awesome and our Puzzle Master (not sure that is the correct name but the person that gives you clues when you are stuck!) was great. She knew exactly when to give us clues especially when we were so close to finding the answer. I thought this multi-room escape room was awesome and challenging. Even though it's been over a year, we STILL talk about how fun it was! We drove an hour there and back 3 times to do all 3 of their rooms! If you do the rooms in order of the way Stuart (the owner/designer) designed and built them, you DEFINITELY notice the hard work he puts into these rooms to upgrade them to make your experience more enjoyable and challenging. Their most newly added room Time Chasers blew our minds! The amount of work and detail put into this room was definitely noticeable! What we really love about Trap't is the rooms were challenging but not impossible. Jill (Stuart's wife/co-owner I believe) is our favorite game master, we got her for at least 2 of our 3 rooms and she's so sweet and helped us succeed in escaping the rooms! Unlike other Escape Rooms my friends and I have played, she wanted us to escape and gave us hints when we struggled to help us. We loved Trap't and have been checking periodically for Tremors on the Tracks to open! Trap't really helped us fall in love with Escape Rooms. Since I read there would be walking & riddles to be solved. And the older fam aren't too fond of the unknown & puzzle solving LOL. The ones that responded decided as a group to do the Cupcake Conundrum in Patchogue. What a great way to explore the different shops on Main St. I don't wanna give too much away because that's where the fun is. Solving the clues & finding the next spot. We got to try Locale where we dined on Mussels in wine sauce & a Margherita Pizza. Both were delicious! That's where we got our first clue. Then there was The Paper Doll Curiosity Shoppe which we all loved and Todd was so friendly & such a pleasure to talk with. Fun stuff in the store. Like the funky glasses with mustaches that we received & wore for the rest of the day like it was normal. We were stopped several times by curious onlookers who wanted to know about the glasses. We proudly told them "We're Food Detectives!!" LOL Several wonderful restaurants including 2 desserts. All of the food was delicious & enjoyable. Remember drinks are not included, and we were fine with that. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.
