I've been anxiously wanting to try Pangea for quite a while & FINALLY got there last night. I'm glad I got this restaurant out of my system. I guess I'm spoiled because when I spend $55 for 2 adults & a 19 month old to eat dinner, I want a dining experience not a Fast food experience. If you enjoy waiting on yourself (evening finding your own highchair & pulling it off of the stack), having to ask someone to clean a table for you and searching for your own "to go" container, than you need to give this place a try. I don't mind paying $$$ for pizza & 3 small pastries (we all 3 got water only) if the service is 5 even if it is self serve, but for me & my daughter this place in service & food taste, just didn't do it for us. The pizza we tried were the Childs cheese, The one with arugula on top & the one with shaved Brussels sprouts & balsamic drizzle, our favorite was the balsamic drizzled one. Another disappointment was that all 3 were made with very soft soggy crust (not a fan) which if they have a more crispy crust option, we missed it.. I'm hoping we just hit this restaurant on an off night, but wanted to let a few know that this (at least in the evening) is probably a more gathering spot to just nibble & have a drink or coffee & enjoy visiting friends, not really a place to dine. read more

I am a traveling engineer and this is the first where you can find great Thai food, home made Gelatos, barista, which you have to try AFFOGATO. Neapolitan and regular Pizza. All my travels thus far (including other countries), this place takes the cake! read more

Just went here last night for my second visit in about the same amount of weeks. I am on the hunt for really good neapolitan style pizza and gave this a try when I saw it is certified. The first time I got the margharita pizza and the second I got the buffalina ( what can i say, I like the basics). Both times the pies were swimming in olive oil. The flavor of both was good so I would not pay the extra for the buffalina. I am not a fan of the ambiance of the place as I find it chilly and loud. the employees are all very nice and the service was good. I think it is a bit pricey but I will probably return when the craving for neop pizza hits. read more

This place is unbelievably good. Their Neapolitan style pizza is so delicious. They offer a more traditional pizza, but I haven't tried it. I have had their Italian roasted porchetta sandwich with verde sauce... Wow. So good! Also had their spring roll with Thai basil sauce. Very good, but a little pricey for $4 a pop. Their gelato and gelato cakes are wonderful. Only downfall is when we went on a Saturday for a late lunch/early dinner they had no seating, and you are served cafeteria style. I've been to Pangea twice. I lived in Italy for a year and this Pizza is the closest I've ever had in America to Italian pizza. I've only tried the pizza and craft beer to date. I've tried the cheese and Cafona (meat). Both were terrific. read more

We had two of their pizzas tonight as carry out. Unfortunately my experience of a couple of years ago was confirmed. We had a butcher deep dish pizza and a margarita neopolitan pizza. Both pizzas were essentially flavorless, very bland. For pizza, there are much better options in town. read more

Just go! The pizza is amazing. The dessert is wonderful. Evansville is lucky to have a truly unique restaurant that would be considered commonplace in a larger metropolitan. The pistachio pizza is the way to go. You can ask for samples of the gelato too. read more

Food: Can attest for the super fresh and flavorful quality of drunken noodles; Neapolitan, Sicilian, and Detroit style pizzas; gelato and macarons. The Bomba dessert pizza is the bomb-a. Atmosphere: since installing sound absorbing features the dining experience is significantly more pleasant (it used to be sooooo loud, but now the background noise no longer ruins conversations among tablemates). Service: Staff is good about turning tables over and keeping water filled. They've always been accommodating when asked for additional table items or to go boxes. Getting a seat: Can be tricky. Cannot tell a lie. Seating is easier to get when outside is an option. read more

Pangea is truly one of a kind, you can't find anything this hip and interesting in Evansville. The food is amazing and fresh. The desserts are to DIE for. Best macaroons in town. I suggest the white wine sangria to drink. The service is friendly and prompt. My friend's order didn't get put in so they comped her entire meal and gave her a free dessert. I'll definitely be coming back! This is my new favorite restaurant in Evansville! read more

Great pizza. Choice of several styles. Great gelato just like I remember when spending 4 yrs in Europe when stationed there in the Army. Other traditional European deserts as well. Well idk why I waited so long to visit here for my first time. That being said I think the La Campirana may have some serious competition for my favorite restaurant in town . The atmosphere is awesome here, they have a super nice deli and desert bar and a coffee shop. I tried a few of the pizzas , both styles and was blown away. My wife's salad was amazing as well. The canolis I got for desert were excellent too! They lost part of our order and added an extra pizza to make up for it which gains extra bonus points in my book everyday! Will definitely be coming back often to work my way through the menu . read more
