Nice spot to stop in for a quick bite on my way to visit friends.. food and service were great

Road tripping with hubby. Stopped for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Ordering is done by kiosk. You're alerted when your food is ready by text or by a pager you can take to your table. Our food was ready fast, however the Baja Bowl I ordered from the warm bowl menu wasn't warm. It was still good though.

Ordered their pick 2, half a salad and sandwich. Got home and was shocked to see the portion of the half salad. It literally looks like someone already ate part of the salad. No exaggerating if a man got this salad it would have beef 4 spoonfuls and all gone. I would have gotten a bigger mmeal and spent $3 less if I went to Chipotle. This is why I have stopped ordering from Panera's. Everytime I say to myself maybe it's just that one time, they prove that I'm wrong again for giving them another try. it's one thing to charge more but have decent portions. it is judt not worth what you pay for. If you order take out, check your bag before leaving. Had I seen the portion I got I would have returned and ask for a refund. To top it all they ask for tips before service is rendered so in this case no tip was deserved but they already got it .

I've been here a few times the food is alright it's expensive for what it is though. The last time I went and probably for quite some time I had a piece of metal or a rock or something in my bread which I ended up chipping my tooth on. And when I brought it to their attention they just asked if I wanted another piece of bread. Probably won't be back here anytime soon.

    Wrong salad.

Clean, organized and nice staff. I enjoy going into this location when I'm in York. Plenty of parking and quick access to the highway.

They get some part of the order wrong, every time. The convenience is no longer worth the trouble.

The only delay we experienced was due to my own indecision between a salad and a wrap! The quality of the ingredients was top-notch. Everything was fresh and well prepared, and the grilled chicken clearly tasted like it was prepared onsite--great flavor and generously portioned. I had the Chicken Cobb salad and my wife chose the Cali BLT salad, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. It was also great to see a steady flow of customers--some regulars and some first-timers like us. Everyone was greeted and served professionally, which speaks highly of your team. If I could offer one small constructive suggestion, it would be to provide an option to have the salad tossed before serving. The clear to-go style container creates a picture-worthy presentation, but it can make it a bit difficult to dress the salad evenly without making a mess. Overall, a very positive experience--we'll be back!

My wife had the fish and chips. Food was good and plentiful. Service was very good, ate with some old friends, there was no rush, they gave us plenty of space. The menu is varied, specials are not typical fare, but also do not become science projects like so many "creations" do. The food is left to speak for itself. Affordable. Two small criticisms, can be loud in certain areas. They are very accommodating in moving you. The parking lot. Walking over the bridge can be an issue with cars. Worth the trip.

It sounds bold, and it is, but it works beautifully. The broth is rich and deeply savory, the cheese pull is perfect, and the crispy rings add a texture you never knew the classic was missing. The pork chop remains the star of the menu--huge, expertly seasoned, and cooked with precision. It's widely considered the best in the city, and honestly might be the best in the state. Juicy, tender, and full of flavor, it's the kind of entrée you end up recommending to friends for weeks. Their octopus is another standout, prepared with surprising delicacy. Tender, not chewy, with a perfect char that adds just the right amount of smokiness. It's balanced, refined, and one of the most memorable small plates you'll find locally. And don't leave without dessert--the crème brûlée is phenomenal. Silky smooth custard under a flawlessly torched sugar crust that cracks just right. Simple, classic, and executed perfectly. Between the inventive dishes and the warm atmosphere, The First Post remains a must-visit for anyone who loves great food done exceptionally well.
