I have to keep reminding myself this is not the south. Many of the locals were on a first name basis with staff which only added to the charm. Portion sizes were huge and prices were reasonable. The hamburger was good and am looking forward to going back and trying breakfast. Cash is king here as they only take cash but do have an ATM onsite ( which is the only modern thing in the restaurant )

Unfortunately, a few years ago, the previous owner sold the business and they have gone downhill ever since. I had accepted the change, BUT, have changed to much now. They have gone the way of other shops that do not cut the bun completely in half, rather just cut it open so 1/4 of the sandwich is just bun--nothing else. They change their oil recipe which isn't as good as the original, the buns are different, they have cut back so much on their meats and other ingredients, don't put put on the things you ask for, like tomatoes(See pictures). AND, they have almost doubled the price of their subs. What a disappointment! Even Subway has better subs now, and that's not saying much....
