A lot of missed notes that make every other Panera better: no slicing of the grape tomatoes, regular tomatoes are mealy and slaughtered by (I can only imagine) a butcher with a guillotine, bacon is all fatty parts and tastes like it was prepped the night/days before, vastly fewer options than other Panera's (vegetables as a whole are clearly hated here), bread is unrelentingly yet consistently stale, and I'm afraid that the people who put my orders together are wholly opposed to salt's existence. Today's offense (and review) comes courtesy of the green goddess avocado toast. It was shockingly effervescent, but I didn't eat enough to do too much harm to my GI tract. I hope. The three bites I had (first two bites were just bread because it was a barren, sparse wasteland of "toast") were appallingly not seasoned, which is impressive considering green goddess is in the name. How you've managed to shame the simplicity of avocado toast is lost on me. I'm baffled, sad, hyponatremic, and hungry. What's good? The chips. Which I'll now just buy at a Dallas location when the mood strikes because the bitter, unseasoned disappointment in this location is depressing. Especially in this economy, yikes. read more

Moved here a few months ago. Tried this Panera for the first time. Can't really say if it's good or not. I ordered the steak sandwich but what I got was mostly bread. Barely any meat on the sandwich. My wife, grandson and I visited the Waxahachie location on 1/10/26. Once we sat down and got our order, my wife noticed a hair in her sandwich. We proceeded on to alert the manager and asked for a refund. She only gave us half back of the whole order. They offered a free pastry for the inconvenience. Low and behold, we got home and again noticed a hair in that item as well. This was very frustrating. We called the store and all they could say is sorry for the negative experience. The young lady with the long curly hair in the kitchen needs to wear a hairnet. Actually, it should be mandatory that all individuals that work in the kitchen wear hairnets. read more

I really didn't want to write this review because I didn't want them to have another bad review. Just went there today, I ordered a WHOLE smokehouse BBQ chicken sandwich and a you pick two with broccoli cheddar soup and a chipotle chicken avocado sandwich. When I got home I noticed I only had HALF of my smokehouse, and my chipotle chicken wasn't on the right bread. I CALLED TWICE AND THEY HUNG UP ON ME BOTH TIMES. I was very excited to have Panera but these people can't get their crap together apparently. To pay $23 and not get what I ordered is absurd. I will continue to call until someone answers. read more

I drove up to order and was greeted kindly. I was then told I couldn't use more than one reward at a time as I had two. I also was told the order had to be made through order online pickup in drive through. To not hold up others I drove around and parked and placed my order. I went on the app and ordered a meal and additional soup along with bagels. All are products we order regularly. I was actually able to use both discount codes in the same transaction- I don't think the employees know customers can do that. I waited for about ten minutes for the pickup time that was given. As I waited I noticed the parking lot is maintained well and the area is neat and clean. There were not many customers in the parking lot at all. When I got home and opened my bags I see this bagel. HUGE FAIL! I've been eating this bagel for years. This is the smallest and worst presentation I've seen from a Panera location. The bagel had no crunch! We used to be Panera regulars. Overtime we noticed the salads weren't as fresh and the salad portions were getting smaller. It simply isn't worth the prices they charge for meals anymore. We still stop buy to purchase bread for special occasions, but that's it. read more

Stopped in to test the Sip Club membership that we have. It's a great membership allowing free drinks daily as long as you're a member. This location is a nice one. Always clean, staff was very helpful. Sandwiches are always good and fresh. Definitely worth the stop. read more

I never had Panera bread, and maybe other locations are better, but this experience scarred me. Starting at the window they announced that they were "Out of bread" which was strange for a place literally named 'Panera Bread'. Luckily, I didn't want anything with bread; I got the Baja Bowl requesting the Salsa on the side amongst a few other things... They repeated the order and still I got a baby amount of food with the salsa including as if they had pre made the bowl. On top of that, there was a hard brick piece of bread just sitting in the bag (after they said they didn't have bread). For the price, it's definitely not worth trying ever again. My family and I are pretty frequent costumers of Panera Bread especially in these winter months - but on Tuesday we ate an early dinner together and my mom and I ate the tomato soup with veggie sandwiches and my dad ate the chicken noodle soup with a chicken sandwich. My dad threw up about 2 hours later and began complaining of a headache, stomach pains, and running a low grade fever which are all the symptoms of salmonella poisoning and he threw up several more times the next day. I know this is a time of year where several illnesses are making their rounds, but the immediate reaction after eating here was suspicious for us. My total is different every-time. How today was my pick 2 $20 and then the order was wrong. I asked for regular sweet tea they charge me for a large and gave me a large. First mistake then my sandwich was wrong but it was a full sandwich for $10. Now you know on the pick 2 they give you a fourth of the sandwich and 3 tablespoons of soup so this was odd to me. To the Manager: Mr. Edwards. First, your staff was lovely and did what you told them to do...however the food quality and safety is not what I've come to expect from Panera. I ordered a small Fuji Apple salad and my husband ordered a macaroni & cheese with bacon with a bagel. The quality of the greens was abysmal, but I salvaged the two three bites and the chicken and ate that. I just figured your food order was delayed and was letting it go. Then my husband found a pice of foil in his last bit of bagel (perhaps a butter wrapper)...I asked for a refund and your manager on site said he had to call you. When he returned he gave me a card for a free take two when I come in next time and said he couldn't give me a refund because "I'd eaten most of it" Please know there won't be a next time--it became clear that the 2 star rating had been well earned. First time at this Panera's and the experience was terrible. Lights off outside after dark, they didn't have the tea we chose and didn't have lids. When we asked about these things we were told it had been that way since the worker started. We asked if there was a manager on site and were told it isn't the managers fault it is corporate. They don't send enough to keep them stocked and the lights outside have never worked. We got regular tea that they did have and it was old and not drinkable. I ordered the new French Ciabatta Dipper and it had 3 small pieces of meat only and about a 1/4 of a cup of dipping sauce. I asked them to fill the cup with more sauce so I could actually dip my sandwich and was told that is all that comes with it. Same when I asked about the meat on the sandwich. I wish I had taken a picture of it to share. My husband ordered the smokehouse BBQ Chicken and it was the same, very little chicken. We decided not to stay and asked for a refund. We were never asked why or how they could make things OK for us. Seemed like they were used to being asked for refunds. I typically have had good experiences with Panera, but this store in Waxahachie was so disappointing. Clean store but the food was terrible. I ordered a bowl of chicken noodle soup and the serving was a cup size in a bowl. The soup had virtually no chicken and had a bad flavor. I also ordered a grilled cheese sandwich which was just a joke.....one thin slice of processed cheese on inch thick slices of bread. Panera HQ needs to visit this franchise / store and do some policing. read more

Terrible Service, I love Panera but just because of my multiple terrible experiences in the drive thru with an associate who mistreats costumers I will never be back and I will speak with my wallet and no longer support it. This is my first time at Panera bread and our experience was terrible. We waited for almost 45 min and then they came and said they ran out of wraps for my daughters wrap so it took an additional 5 minutes after that. Then when my breakfast sandwich was brought it was sunny side up instead of scrambled. We had two gentlemen next to us who were furious because the same thing happened to them and they said they will also be writing a review. This makes the 3rd time I have come to this location and my order was wrong. I ordered a bacon, egg & cheese on Brioche...I got some disgusting pie looking thing that stunk. The person asked me 3 times if I wanted scrambled egg on the sandwich or not. Didn't ask if I wanted anything else just kept asking for my reward phone number. I had to say I would also like a drink and a cookie which those were correct. So now no breakfast and whatever it is they gave me is going in the trash. Consistently wrong orders. Items/ingredients are left off sandwiches and salads or breads are substituted for no reason. Do not expect your Rapid Pick up order to be on time either, typically 5-10 minutes later than promised. I've tried the Waxahachie location at least 8-10 times since they have opened because of the ease of the online rapid pick up ordering process and each of those time we have had messed up orders and delayed orders. I have always loved Panera and have been dining at Panera for years. However, this location needs some management and kitchen oversight. read more

Not sure why this Panera has so many bad reviews. Maybe Bc i have never dined in? My drive through experiences have mostly been fantastic, especially recently. I'm only knocking off one star Bc of the price and the amount of food you get for it. Honestly i think that's just Panera period and not just this location. The people i have dealt with at the drive through have always been super nice and accommodating..i wanted a replacement instead of bread a few weeks ago on the pick 2 and they gave me 2 apples instead and today they popped in something extra for me to try.
