Good food for a local bar, friendly service. Just don't come hangry!…read more This seems to be a hangout for regulars chatting at the bar, with a small menu of appetizers, burgers and sandwiches. We came on a Friday evening, tired and hungry, so waiting for food wasn't something we wanted. But wait we did. However, when we eventually got our food, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the burger patty, and the grilled cheese accompaniment to the tomato bisque (especially since they said there was no more of the chili I ordered). The staff came over several times to check in which was appreciated. The food and service saved the experience for us! Prices were also reasonable. They have outdoor seating as well, which is where most people chose. If they were a more well-run establishment they could take this to the next level. Parking is around the corner of the Characters restaurant and seems to be plentiful.

I always look forward to coming here after a hike. There is always an assortment of different savory and sweet pastries. I had two different spinach pastries and it was really good with a coffee drink which was also good. My friends ordered sandwiches and I regret not getting one myself. Their sandwiches looked really good and they said it was good as well. It is a homey local hometown feel, similar to a hallmark movie.

The big downside of the kiosks is we were there for breakfast and didn't see an option for coffee so we got charged $3.60 extra to get upgraded to soda. While we were there a 4 person group showed up and ordered at the register since an employee had finally came out. They started ordering as we completed our order, but they got their food first. The hash browns and one sandwich were good, but the other sandwich was covered in extra cheese we didn't order and was a hot mess. If you have time to wait and don't mind getting your food after people that showed up after you then you can get a decent meal. Just check to make sure your sandwich isn't a runny disgusting mess before you get back to your car.

This one employee who took our order (receipt says Medjine, but not sure if it is her name) was rude. We said half dozen glazed donuts. She handed us one coffee and walked away. We flagged her down telling her we got two coffees. She charged us for two coffees a minute ago... but she asked to see the receipt. Then she hands us our other cup of coffee. We then realized she is talking on the phone on her airpod! No wonder she is so distracted. I saw another employee with galaxy buds in his ears too. This Quiznos is a small, tight space where do everything in front of the customers without having to move much. Take money from the front, decorate sandwiches at the bottom, and then turn to the left to insert sandwich into the industrial oven. This is what I call monkey work. The ingredients they're using don't look all that fresh and the toasting machine looks more like a coal burner than it does a bread toaster. Sure enough, the bread came out a little too toasted and the cheese looked nearly disintegrated. For $7, I'm expecting the optimal sandwich one cna put out, but instead I seem to have received the minimum one instead. What's worse is the sauce containers seem to be out of sauce. Not only is my sandwich lacking, but I can't even flavor it with the special sauces. I guess it'll be the last time I step foot into this rest stop disaster.
