I always look forward to coming here after a hike. There is always an assortment of different savory and sweet pastries. I had two different spinach pastries and it was really good with a coffee drink which was also good. My friends ordered sandwiches and I regret not getting one myself. Their sandwiches looked really good and they said it was good as well. It is a homey local hometown feel, similar to a hallmark movie.

There's stacks of them, either of the glazed or cinnamon sugar variety, and they are still warm from the oven usually. A fresh cider doughnut is a beautiful thing, and I personally purchase lots of them to buy the affection of my wife and children. They've also got all kinds of other confections as well, including apple fritters if you want to round out your fried apple pastry selection. I picked up one of those, but have yet to sample the pies, breads, sauces, cinnamon rolls, ice cream, cookies, honey, and more...but there's always next week. Good food for a local bar, friendly service. Just don't come hangry!…read more This seems to be a hangout for regulars chatting at the bar, with a small menu of appetizers, burgers and sandwiches. We came on a Friday evening, tired and hungry, so waiting for food wasn't something we wanted. But wait we did. However, when we eventually got our food, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the burger patty, and the grilled cheese accompaniment to the tomato bisque (especially since they said there was no more of the chili I ordered). The staff came over several times to check in which was appreciated. The food and service saved the experience for us! Prices were also reasonable. They have outdoor seating as well, which is where most people chose. If they were a more well-run establishment they could take this to the next level. Parking is around the corner of the Characters restaurant and seems to be plentiful.

Unfortunately, the pistachio sauce was camping at the bottom of the cup like it paid rent. First sip: "wow, strong." Last sip: "did I just drink dessert?" A quick swirl after the espresso shots would've saved the entire situation so every sip tastes the same. But hey, I'm not a barista, I just drink coffee aggressively.
