I haven't been to a Panera in a while, and now I am sort of seeing why. Ordered a breakfast pickup for work and ordered the drive thru option which I thought was great given it was pouring out. Drove up way after they opened and the drive thru isn't even operating- cones in both lanes. Don't offer rapid pick up if it's not able to be utilized. Is it the biggest deal? No, but then don't give directions to pull up and grab it. Walked in and someone is cleaning the windows another person sitting around, nobody at the counter and deer in the headlights on what to do. Finally someone came out and asked if I needed anything. Ugh. Service left a lot to be desired. Bagels were fresh Pastries I thought would come in a box, instead they came in separate bags for every single one. May or may not return. read more

Panera relocated from a store attached to the Rosedale Mall into a solo standing store on the outside perimeter of its grounds. Because of this move, they now can offer a drive thru. You've been to one Panera, then you've been to all of them. I use the kiosk for self ordering but sis still likes to use the counter. You get a black square that will buzz when your order is ready. There is also a monitor so you can see where you are in the lineup. I have my favorites but both breakfast and lunch. I tend to stick to those vs trying new seasonal offerings. read more

Nice and clean with plenty of seating. Food was good and ready fairly quickly. Unfortunately for me and others the Gluten Free selection is extremely limited. I also am not a fan of the elimination of cashiers or hostesses whom take your order. Maybe I'm just an old fart but I find the touch ordering to limit your ability to make changes or order exactly what you want. It also seems to take substantially longer to navigate the screens to find what you're looking for. It also destroys that feeling of personal service and to then request a tip on top of that, sad. read more

I've got the sip club membership. Which means I get a free drink every day, so I come here for that. It's quick and easy - painless. The place is clean the staff is quick. I've gotten soups and sandwiches too. They've all been good. Ordered some food for a grad party from here though. And that was a whole fiasco. Great study spot. They have wonderful tables to study at with plenty of chargers and comfortable seating. The soups never disappoint, always a favorite. I got the turkey bravo and a pecan twist and both were delicious and fairly priced. The staff were friendly and inviting. Will definitely be back. Panera on $15. A very wise store manager took a chance on me and hired me as a a baker. As a result of that I enjoy Being a baker with Panera. We get $15 for a food allowance for every shift. I have tried many different sandwiches and delights along the way. This week's sandwich is the Chicken Frontera added Parmesan cheese but that's it. This sandwich features, in my opinion, the franchise's best bread: the focaccia. Also it featured my favorite sauce: Chipotle. Also the smoked chicken. Ambiance is fast casual and the production is rather quick. However, this is not fast food. Cone on in and try a pick two. I've tried 3 soups and all were very good. read more

This location is struggling- badly. I've gone twice in the last few weeks and while the first experience was rough, I came again to see if it was a fluke (and also, because who doesn't love Panera?). Unfortunately, the situation remains unchanged. This location gets a ton of traffic due to its location in the Rosedale Center mall, but the staff simply can't keep up. One register open with a line snaking to the entrance, 3 self-serve kiosks (only 1 of which works), and massive wait times. A few weeks ago, it took 45 minutes to get a cup of soup and half sandwich. I thought it would be shorter this time, but it still took at least 30 minutes. The restaurant is a complete disaster- unbussed tables, filthy carpets, empty cups, lids, and condiments, overflowing bus bins and garbage cans, and a staff that is clearly overworked, understaffed, and utterly exhausted. This is not a testament against the staff. It was clear they were doing the best they could, but corporate should be taking note of a location this busy not getting the support or staffing it needs relative to how busy it is. Additionally, customers need to do start doing more: it is really shameful watching people leave their garbage everywhere and crackers ground into the carpet from their party of six. Empathy is free and it takes only a moment to bus things yourself and clean up after yourself. I love Panera and if you don't mind waiting or crowds, you'll be fine. But don't come here if you are expecting a quick meal. read more

This panera used to be connected to Rosedale Mall. Since Seperating, it has turned to shit. I ate there today and Got a Chicken Sandwich with Chicken Wild Rice soup. The soup looked like apple sause and had no flavor at all. The turkey sandwich was mid. And once again was very dry and bland. the manager whose name is Keith was staring at me inappropriately and made me very uncomfortable while eating at this restaurant. Got to-go food for Mother's Day since my parent's dishwasher broke and haven't had Panera in a long time. To start, there were zero kids items available off the kids menu. No bowls or flatbreads and half the sandwiches and salads were out of stock leaving us with a limited menu to start with. One of the items ordered was a broccoli cheese bread bowl but the soup was missing. On another order, the dressing for the sesame strawberry dressing was missing. Very disappointed. read more

I haven't been to a Panera for myself in years. I do try to avoid chain restaurants but my kids like the Mac n cheese here. We skip the kid's meal because the portion is too small for my 9 year old daughter. She loves the cheesy sauce and dipping the baguette in the cheese sauce. The automatic ordering system worked well though the food took a little longer than expected as the restaurant was pretty sparse when we ate at 4p. The new location is garbage all around. I used to frequent the old location in the mall, and always had good experiences. The old restaurant felt cozy and had plenty of space. The new one is more modern but lacks good seating and doesn't feel cozy at all. I've been to the new location twice , and both times had issues. The drive through took forever and my order was incorrect. The time I dined in the floors were very dirty and the lighting was so bright I felt like I was on display from the outside. They were out of 1/2 the items I wanted and it was hours before close. They also have everything in takeout containers even though I dined in. Won't be returning . read more

Yes - they actually LOST our order! We stopped in after shopping last night. I hadn't stepped into a Panera for 5 or 6 years. My wife and my daughter wanted to go in because they love fresh bread and hot soup. Duh, that's a no-brainer! I guess we're eating at Panera. I was impressed with the latest system. You can order at the counter or you can order at one of various electronic kiosks. The electronic table locator discs are pretty cool. I saw a dude run in with a light-up Panera car light. So I guess they must do home delivery too. So... The 3 of us ordered at 7:29 pm. After 20 minutes, we asked if there was a problem. Guess what? They couldn't find our order! It disappeared into the electronic netherworld. They actually took my paper receipt to make our food. (Luckily, I kept my receipt.) At 8:05 pm I finally got my food. But they forgot my wife's soup & bread order and my daughter's soup & bread order. At 8:15 pm, the girls finally got their food too. So it took a total of 45 minutes and 1 paper receipt to get 3 small orders. The funny thing is the woman who took our order had a name tag that said she was the "trainer". So she should know how to correctly take an order - right? The woman who helped us later was super nice, and she gave us free pastries for our trouble. I'm sorry I didn't get her name. I should have asked. She had a bright orange tattoo on her wrist. She was awesome. I like Panera. And I'd come back again. But I had a chance to study them closely for well over an hour, anxiously sipping my coffee. This crew was in desperate need of supervision and management. They were running around like lost cattle. I have not stepped foot in a Panera Bread for 15 years. Back then the " hot item" to eat was the soup in a bread bowl, everything else was one dimensional/ so so. But then I recently tried their scones, cookies ( butter shortbread ones) and their cinnamon coffee cake WOW wow wow. Did I go into SHOCK. They actually now use butter, and the flavor, lightness, texture were all so very perfect . Could not stop eating! Their muffins are light buttery and mouth wateringly yummy! Just finished my meal here. The food was good as usual however the staff not so great. First of all they never asked our choice of bread, apple or chips but served us bread without a knife or butter so I had to search for both. All that was available was a plastic knife which would have been ok except the butter I eventually found was rock hard! Then we ordered more soup which came with bread no butter or knife so I asked the server when the soup was delivered but he never brought it and the crock of butter was empty so the same server went to get some for the lady in front of me near the butter. Really that didn't spark his memory of the butter he agreed to bring but failed to do so. Finally the spoon was dirty that came with the extra cup of soup we ordered. They were out of key ingredients (Turkey for one example) for the first 3 things we ordered. The service was also pretty poor. So today at 6:10 AM, I get to Panera. We had a wicked ice and snow storm the night before, Cashier Genevieve tells me they are short-staffed and it would take a few moments for my order. I get that, so I cut some slack. The roads were bad out there. I drink my coffee as I see Genevieve stock the shelves and the manager run around the restaurant. I'm the only customer in the place. Well, by 6:30, I go up and ask if they can just simplify my order so that I can catch my bus. Genevieve looks puzzled and goes to the kitchen to tell the manager. The manager then points up to the counter and says, "Your order is up there." No sorry about the way, no attempt to call out my name or check around the very empty restaurant to deliver my sandwich. I love Panera, but this service is not what I expect. It was worse than the icy roads this morning. I'd rather pay two dollars more and get good service at Starbucks. Sorry Rosedale Panera. I haven't been inside a Panera for some time and was very surprised to find no one at the counter, and we stood there for at least 5m before I saw a girl come behind a counter and start doing something with the food. I called to her and asked if we could order and she said "yeah." She rang us up and we ordered coffees, a cinnamon roll and a quiche. After she handed me the quiche, she asked a person who came out of the kitchen to get her a cinnamon roll and the person responded " Are you serious? Who does she think she is? ME get You a cinnamon roll." We watched this exchange awkwardly and then about 6 minutes later I saw the girl cutting a cinnamon roll out of a tinfoil pan that looked exactly like you would open from a frozen grocery store pan. She put it on a plate and handed it to my husband and it was like a hard square. Excuse me, would you like a coffee and a cold cinnamon square? As we were still waiting for our coffee, it's been about 15m now since we walked in the door and we were the ONLY people there, we are wondering who's going to ever make the coffee because we see no one. As we wait we notice a microwave in the waiting are and decide to heat up our own roll. Finally I catch another one sneaking out of the back and ask her when we could expect our coffees? She said "just go sit down and we'll bring them to you." I replied that we were going to sit outside and we're really hoping for our coffee. We waited another few minutes and went outside and sure enough we got our coffees delivered about 2 minutes later. Of course now the coffee was here everything was cold again. The tables outside had bird poop on them and all in all I could not have been more disappointed because although I don't find much alluring to Panera, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE those little quiches. read more

I like panera for a few reasons, 1st they are really quick which is great for workday lunches, 2nd prices are reasonable and 3rd they put the calorie count for everything on the menu right up on the board. This is my go-to spot when I need to eat something healthy, low calorie and don't have a lot of time to spend. I never ate here before because the word bread was in the title and i thought i was all carby fatty sweets but I was surprised they show all calories on the menu and many options are reasonable. They also offer you the choice of apple or bread as a side dish which I like. The menu changes up quite a bit too which is nice sometimes and sad others when your missing your recent favorite dish. I love their lemon orzo soup which isn't there anymore but I have seen it sold at target of all places, panera branded and all. If your counting calories, go for the half soup half sandwich with an apple. I love the chicken noodle with turkey sammie.. Filling and won't' dent your calorie or money wallet! Tip: get the panera free club card and you'll get all kinds of coupons and free stuff the more times you visit! read more

Terrible experience! My visit began with a very slow cashier. The staff might've been new so I didn't mind it too much but thought that someone could have been there to provide assistance. Otherwise, the person was quite pleasant and tried very hard to get our order in quickly. The food was ok at best but worst of all, after all the waiting, we got home to the wrong order. I eat at Panera every once in awhile when I'm lazy and want cheap food. I know it's not the highest quality to begin with, however, it's still a restaurant that needs to follow guidelines. I ordered a salad off of their plant based menu (Greek grain salad), which has NO meat in it to begin with. The salad had three rather large pieces of chicken in it. Disgusting. I called to get a refund because it was a rapid pickup online order and the manager explained that she could not refund and sent me a meal voucher. I don't trust the food they prepare so it's not much of a compromise for me. Bottom line-don't eat here if you have food allergies, restrictions, or are vegetarian/vegan because they clearly don't pay enough attention to the food they prepare. read more

This place is super slow with service. Came in and 6 people ahead of Me with One cashier. I order the soup but they're out of bread bowls. So I ask for baguette as my side. I'm told "sorry, we're out." So I got the Apple. Fine. My food is hand delivered because the buzzer given to me never rang. The server has the most grim expression (assuming she's just over it). Soup is super watery for a chowder, but I'm starving so I eat it. Others who were in line after me now get their food and I notice they have baguettes on their plate! I've always been a fan of Panera.. and go to all the locations that I can get to...but this one is by far the best one... so I always make it a point to stop here when I'm at the Rosedale Mall...where they don't have much choices to eat at the food court anyways.
