My friend can never know about this picture.

So I came here to check out the new Panera that opened up in my hometown with a friend. I never thought my little place would be the kind of place one day to get one of these, but they did, and I'm glad. It's definitely a smaller version of what I was used to, but it was clean and it was pretty. The parking lot is more than enough space for it. The server was friendly and our order was ready fairly quickly. I had a Steak & Egg on Everything Bagel (Egg, a thick slice of Vermont white cheddar and seared steak on an Everything Bagel) with a Caramel Latte (Freshly brewed espresso, foamed milk and caramel topped with whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce) to wash it down with. The bagel as delicious. The white cheddar was soft and not too harsh, letting the little slice of steak shine. I couldn't really tell if it was seasoned well because the bagel had an explosion of little things on it with the sear adding up to make this a really good sandwich. The latte was served in an oversized mug with a whole heap of whipped cream on top. Nice, subtle flavor that even a coffee snob could enjoy, but if you like things super sweet, you might wanna ask them to add extra syrup. The atmosphere was super nice. It was quiet and the relaxing music was ambient in the background. All this combined with the free wifi means that the students of Pace now have a local option to come to to study. I wish this place was around when I was in undergrad. Overall, the food and drink is quality. We all know that. The price is a little high. We all also know that. But, it's not outrageous, and being there is just so darn pleasant that I think this place deserves a solid four stars. Will return.

Went through the drive-through yesterday afternoon to get a Baja Chicken Bowl. Three cars were in front of me and it took approx. 20 minutes to pay and receive my food. I ordered my usual, the Baja Bowl with Chicken. I always customize my bowl and a few times in the past my order has been incorrect. Today EVERYTHING was PERFECT! I added extra feta cheese (up charge) and tomatoes along with extra salsa verde on the side. Before leaving the drive-through, to be on the safe side. I verified my order with the friendly woman working Everything was just as I ordered! I will say in the past when they messed up my order, I've called them and they offered to remake it on a return visit free of charge. I've also noticed that the consistency and quality of the food varies day by day. I've had the Baja Bowl a few times where the avocado wasn't ripe. I've also had the bowl where it was missing a main ingredient. Todays visit was a good one and my order was PERFECT! It was an above average experience thus the 4 star review.

She was super helpful, friendly with kids, and made sure we had everything we needed. The other staff-not so much. There were a couple servers where you could tell they really care, but some would stand around, not really help with anything or just do the bare minimum and the owner would be fixing stuff behind them. The food was good-not great, but not bad either. For the prices you're paying it's pretty equal. I think one thing they could really improve on is making their own yum yum sauce. It was definitely Terry Ho's and while it's not bad it definitely takes away from the hibachi meals, it's not great-yum sauce is like a hibachi staple. It's just little things where it could be so much better with just a little extra attention to detail and extra steps. We probably won't be back any time soon but for a quick sushi fix, not a bad place!

Disappointed the hibachi chicken doesn't come with sauce unless you order it separately and pay an additional charge. We've had hibachi many places and sauce has always come with the meal. The food was good, but as someone else also stated, chicken was dry.

I have lived in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Silicon Valley, and I've eaten Vietnamese food…read morethat many would call world-class. That's the benchmark I bring with me. This chef in Pensacola clears it. What separates this place is discipline. The broth is layered and deliberate--clean yet deeply expressive--showing patience rather than shortcuts. Every garnish serves a purpose. The waffle egg rolls deserve special mention: the balance of textures, from the crunch of the patterned exterior to the flavored softness of the interior, shows a craftsman who understands restraint as well as flavor. What's most impressive is how the chef elevates ingredients that aren't flown in daily. Through technique, timing, and care, he extracts excellence where others would settle for adequacy. That's not luck--that's mastery. Pensacola is fortunate. This restaurant isn't just good "for the area." It stands comfortably among the best I've had anywhere. A true jewel, quietly operating at a world-class level.

The bathroom was truly so gross. The floor and walls were filthy and there was no toilet paper. There were literal feces paper towels in the trash because of this. I literally almost puked by seeing the state of the bathroom and wished I hadn't eaten there. This prompted me to take a look at their health inspection rating and it wasn't on display. That is pretty concerning.

We were visiting some friends in Milton and wanted to get a bite for lunch before heading out…read more They suggested Blackwater Bistro. The place is really quaint with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The menu includes a great variety of different items. The soup of the day was a green chili chicken stew that sounded too good to pass on, so I ordered that along with a side of Gouda grits and a side of sautéed green beans. The grits were delicious! The green beans were very good; and the soup was good. My wife ordered the Philly Cheesesteak with sweet potato criss-cut fries. The fries were bomb! The sandwich was okay, she was trying to figure out what was missing. On the way home she realized it was missing cheese. A cheesesteak without cheese?!?! Service was very good. Our server was attentive without being overbearing. This bistro is not cheap by any stretch, but it is good and I'm sure we'll return.

This…read morewas the fancy place in town to go to if you had a hot date, or for before you go to prom. I never made it out, though, until I moved away, got a job, and then came back to visit recently. I went out to explore downtown Milton some, checked out Blackwater State Park, and got hungry and decided to finally come check this place out for lunch. So we drove up, got a table, and started browsing the pamphlet they gave us of the history of the building. It was a quaint little read. The restaurant is in an old house that had many different lives over the course of its existence. It was wooden, comfortable, had a nice bar built into it. Very cozy and rustically upscale. The service was also very good. A nice lady that tended to all of our drink needs. Very pleasant. And the food came out in a timely fashion. As for the food, we started with the The Sampler (A mixture of our house favorites: Artichoke cheesecake, Baguette, Loaded Brussel Sprouts with Shrimp, Coconut Shrimp with Mango Chutney). This was nice. I love a good savory cheesecake, you don't see that very often. It was very interesting loading the sprouts with shrimp, but I've never said no to a shrimp. And the coconut shrimp were pretty standard. It was a good plate, but not mind-blowing, if you wanna try a different app. My main was the Creole Crawfish & Andouille Pot Pie (Louisiana Crawfish, Savory Vegetables, Andouille, Cajun Cheese Cream, Puff Pastry). This is a loose-leaf pot pie. So basically a gumbo with a puffy piece of puff pastry on top. So it's a lot of fun, but don't expect a lot of crust with each bite. Super creamy, super Cajun in the seasoning, no regrets getting this. I also got to try the The Blue Salad (Filet of Beef. Signature Assorted Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Cucumber, Bleu Cheese, Balsamic Vinaigrette, Candied Pecans, Bleu Cheese Dressing). This was a good salad! Nice and tender strips of filet, funky bleu cheese, sweet and crunchy pecans. I love a nice interesting salad like this. Nothing boring involved. And a ton of that delicious dressing. Overall, the Bistro was well worth the wait. Good vibes, good food. I'd come back.
