When is the last time you went to Panera bread? For me, it's been a little while and I love the establishment. I love it especially when it's clean and smells wonderfully of baked goods and savory offerings. So, while I should be full keto, the minute I go on keto I get an aversion to meat. I already hate eggs except when my body craves an egg and even then I'll try to ignore it until I give my body the shot of protein it's requesting. Now that I'm on Ozempic (I've been athletic all my life but when I need a boost I just take Ozempic for awhile and the weight comes off fast.) I can barely eat anything anyways. I came across Panera bread after a work meeting and decided to enjoy a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup. Sure they offer a lot, except I don't see hot chocolate on the menu. So just the soup and I chose a piece of baguette as a side. I dont like plain potato chips and I only like green Granny's smith apples.....for most times. Now, if I go apple picking I will permit a few red apple versions to enjoy the hard toiling away I did in the orchard. Lol, but a Granny's Smith gets me every time. Anywho, the baguette stayed in a bag on top of my oven until I surrendered it unapologetically to the trash can. Hindsight, I will just skip the side altogether. The broccoli soup is not keto and definitely has a huge list of ingredients you shouldn't be able to pronounce but you can...... The soup is so delicious and all I added to it to add to the warmth was some simple black pepper. Just a pinch to each serving. I ate twice off that soup. Will get again soon. Food: 10/10 The chicken chipotle avocado melt is cheesy and has the best toasted bread. The baked potato soup is thick, creamy, and has a lot of potatoes and bacon in it. The service can definitely be better. Unfortunately, today I went in to have a coffee around 8:20 a.m. and when I entered a young lady at the counter looked miserable. She didn't acknowledge my presence and seemed overall annoyed to be working. A "Good Morning, May I help you?" Would've been nice. She was organizing something behind the counter and couldn't care less if I ordered or not. Breakfast is such an important way to start off your day, but it puts a damper if the person serving you is not friendly or courteous. They can definitely do better with customer service. read more

It's next to the HIP so expect it to be packed, loud, and nasty. I went during my work break and the iced coffee was watered down so I basically wasted my break for nothing. Never coming back again lol. I go to a lot of different locations and this one is by far the worst in the area. read more

I love Panera anywhere but some are better than others. This Norridge one is nicer. The staff are nice and that's what counts most for me besides fresh food. The duet w tomato soup was a great deal! I got a side Greek salad and tomato soup and chips for only $6.99 plus tax. It's hard to beat that to be able to sit and relax and have free WiFi on cushioned seats. Thank you Panera for being such a comfortable and affordable place to eat and do some work and leisure surfing. My salad was fresh and the tomato soup was really good! The place is clean and big and plenty of seating for large groups. I also enjoy their juices when I want something sugary and tasty. Only thing is the AC doesn't need to be on when it's 50 degrees outside and cold. How does a bread company run out of bread at 4:00 in the afternoon for a grilled cheese sandwich?

Good place to stop by for lunch or dinner. Waited a bit in line because no worker was coming up to take the customers orders which was weird because there should usually be someone in the front. Other than that all went well. Ordered to eat in and got the pick two of the chipotle chicken avocado melt panini and a cesar salad with chips on the side. Also got a green tea, you can never go wrong with that drink. Salad wasn't the best, something was definitely off just couldn't tell if it was the cesar dressing or the lettuce. Dad which was da best. It's been my favorite thing there, a little spice from the chipotle dressing mixed with the vegetables and chicken and the crunchy bread. So good. Green tea 10/10. If you know you know. Overall good experience and not too busy when dining in but if your going to pick up or order or order to go then your going to have to wait a bit at this location. read more

This is one of my favorite stops for a soup, sandwiches, salads and of course bagels I stopped in on 3/18/2024. To order a tomato soup bowl-we received the soup in a cardboard cup, no bread bowl I called they said they'd send some sort of coupon. I also ordered a Blackforest. Ham&gouda couldn't taste the Gouda, on baguette- the picture shows greens-it was dry/very boring looking and tasting. I also Ordered 2 Toasted steak and white cheddar, 3 pieces of steak, couldn't taste The cheddar. Very disappointed with this experience. After spending an unprecedented THREE hours at the BioLife to donate plasma with my wife, we were RAVENOUS and depleted of our fluids. Luckily, we discovered a PANERA less than a mile away, as if god herself were thinking of us when the Panera and BioLife were erected. We zipped over and were greeted by the nicest cashier who helped us pick our order and redeem our rewards. Our food was ready in mere minutes and we were able to satiate our beastly hunger. This location is decent, but not the best. Almost every time I order something to go, the order is wrong, which is so annoying, so I have learned to always check my bag before leaving. Normally, they forget to put my side of chips or bread into the bag. I also suggest that if you get soup in a bread bowl, that you ask for this to go because you get much more soup on the side than you do when they put it in the bread bowl for you. I feel like their food quality here has gone down in general, as well. I normally get the steak and cheese sandwich with soup, but recently the meat has tasted disgusting and dry. They also barely put meat on the sandwich, so many bites I take is just onions and bread. Very disappointing. I got a smoothie here the other day that was absolutely amazing, but SO small considering it was $4.99. It was the smallest cup you can get there (there is only one size you can buy), and I finished the smoothie in 2 seconds. Though, I 100% recommend the green passion smoothie if you are looking for a good flavor. Very tropical tasting and it doesnt have dairy in it! Baked goods that will cost you upwards of 800 calories so if you can roll like that then go for it. I'm still in tears about the 12sp soup! Butternut squash shouldn't be so heavy. Lately, this place has gone downhill. I really liked this place at one time but the last couple of visits were questionable. My husband wanted a ham sandwich. I was told no ham sandwiches but could order the Bravo sandwich which has ham in it along with other meats. I ordered the tuna and was told they ran out. You normally get a bag of chips with each sandwich but found out on my receipt that they charge you for the second bag. I had to question the clerk about this. Decided to swing by here for a quick lunch/dinner with my brother. This Panera is located in a mini mall per say. So to find parking it can be a bit challenging, since the parking lot is for about 4 other businesses. So you're pretty much playing musical cars with others. Other than the parking situation, the restaurant itself is very clean and the staff are amazingly helpful. I did notice that they had a couple kiosks where you can place your order instead of speaking to a cashier. I prefer talking directly so i know i have my order correctly, some people think the kiosks are better. You can say I'm old school, otherwise one day technology will take over jobs in that industry. I will definitely be coming back to this location since my brother lives down the street. Everyone is very nice. read more

Never buying from here again... worth reading I usually get a tuna sandwich from here and never had a bad experience, but today I decided to change my meal and ordered a Baja Grain Bowl with Chicken. I did not expect it to be exactly as the picture but for $10($15 after tax/delivery) It should look similar. Not only was my food 20 mins late, the driver arrived and mentioned he had thrown in a cookie (probably to make up for being late?) so it was like ok cool, I took the cookie out and opened the sealed bag but about 1/4 of it had been soaking in water. Ordered two full sanwhiches and bread bowl each with a cookie to go. Dear Panera, can you please make sure the cookies get in the bag with the order?? I've been to a few Paneras, and this seems to be an ongoing issue. For some reasons the cookies seem to be overlooked, and they do not get included with the order (although they were ordered at the register). Can I make a suggestion please??? it should be the crew working at the production line to make sure that cookies get included with the order. Seems like a disconnect between the register crews and production folks. Would suggest having cookies in both production and register areas so that way, the register crew can provide cookied for customers ordring coffee/ beverages only, and production can make sure cookies are included with all sandwhich orders. Staff were just so helpful answering my questions on how they prepare their meat. When I ordered I was very please on how patient she was. This place gets crowded but I was still able to find a decent table. My food was served on my table so quickly and I was impressed on how they paid attention to their customers. This location is near my house, I personally love Panera bread. Just not this location, I usually use the kiosk to custom do my salad or sandwiches. I prefer to use the kiosk since they are more options and ingredients. For some known reason they always seem to mess up my order. I just don't understand how since it's clearly written down. Once again the employees were rude. When a customer comes into the restaurant and stands at the counter or the pick-up area, they should be attended to, not blatantly ignored. Workers will look straight in your eyes and then turn their back on you. My main problem this time is due to online ordering. Online ordering on the Panera site allows you to customize your sandwich up to 5 different ways. You can basically turn a ham & Swiss sandwich into a chicken, Salami, and cheddar sandwich if you want to. At this Harlem location, employees have always seemed annoyed or confused by that, which isn't my concern. If Panera allows 5 modifications to a sandwich, I have every right to use them and get what I want taken off or put on. This week, I ordered a heavily customized sandwich with extra red wine salami online, which I paid an extra $1 for. My orders are wrong a lot when I get home, so I checked the bag after pickup, sure enough my sandwich had NO red wine salami on it, forget about extra, and there was no mention of it on the printed receipt, though my total was a $1 higher than the normal sandwich costs, so somehow they were able to get the money on there, but not mention the salami for the "cook" to put on. I go back in and explain to an unfriendly cashier what the problem was. She looked at the receipt and said you didn't order any salami. I said I did, and I know it doesn't say it on the printed receipt, but my online receipt in my email does, and I pointed out that I was charged the extra $1. She looked at it again and said it doesn't say anything about salami on here. Once again I said I know that, but my online receipt does. She looks at it again and says salami doesn't come on the Ham & Swiss sandwich. By this time I'm getting annoyed. I said yes I know, but I customized the sandwich when I made the order online. She looks like she wants to argue some more, but takes the sandwich back to the "cook" and tells her to put the extra red wine salami on it. I got what I wanted and paid for, but still felt unsatisfied. It was obvious that she did not believe me. She made me feel like I was trying to cheat Panera out of red wine salami, like I was not telling the truth. I was going to show her my online receipt, but couldn't get my phone working. The online receipt and the printed receipt should be exactly the same, but they are formatted differently and have different things on them, which causes a problem in the kitchen and at the counter. I can't blame the staff for the receipt problem, but I can blame them for their behavior and making me feel like a thief. I didn't do anything wrong. If that wasn't enough, they forgot to put my chips in the bag and when I went to ask for them, a bag was shoved into my hands and she turned her back on me without a word. I spoke with someone else and they said the same thing with the printed receipt has happened to them when they make online orders. They will get food with missing ingredients because it's only correct online and not on the one the workers see. I will add the photos so at least anyone reading this will see that I am not a red wine salami thief! read more

The Tuesday bagel deal is perfect for bringing to work and she accommodated me without issue and it was very much appreciated! She knew what I was talking about & just a perfect experience. The backstory is another Panera establishment (closer to my job) that is always short on competence & respect, oh and cream cheese! Like I've ordered bagels more than once and they didn't have larger tubs of cream cheese. I usually try to do mobile ordering and there's always an issue. We had a coupon which was not opening and the guys who was there(I guess he was the manager) gave us the discount worth of that coupon. He worked with us very patiently as we took long to decide on our order and was very kind to adjust everything as per our needs. I loved the way he talked so politely. Moreover, it was not just him, but the other staff as well. She was very soft spoken and catered our needs. I would definitely go here anytime now. My order wasn't going through at the kiosk, the cashier called the manager to assist to make sure my card hadn't been charged. We waited for over 10 minutes with hungry kids. The manager came to the front and didn't address the issue, instead she walked past. Once I went to get my kids so that we could leave, she made it to the kiosk.
