Studying social research and policy while enjoying breakfast...
    Milo B.

This Illy Philly has to study and work, and I needed a space that I wouldn't be rushed out of, so I headed to Panera in Robinson, near Walmart, to get my work done. I ordered the squash soup with the non dairy green passion smoothie, and they were both delicous. Panera is great because they're open till 8 0n Sundays and for the most part is relatively quiet

    Half bowl of soup.

They offer a cup or bowl of soup. I ordered a bowl as it was all I was having for lunch. The bowl was half empty and the friend I was with got a cup and it was full. I was charged for a bowl and got less then a cup of underwhelming soup. Your handed a cheap plastic spoon to eat with. When you pay, you are asked how much of a tip you want to add to the check. I always tip 20% to 25% for service, but what service are they providing? You order at the register, pick up you food at the counter, and clean up your table when you leave. McDonalds brings you food to the table, sad Panera Bread provides less service then McDonalds and asks for a tip. I'm certainly not eating at Panera again.

Plastic In my French onion soup

Found a piece of plastic in my French onion soup. This location is pretty rough, you are probably better off going elsewhere.

    Pulled Pork Barbecue sandwich
    Foodie F.

Got their pulled pork half sandwich to dine in. Opened box and this is what it looks and tastes like. Need I say more?

This is the 'steak' sandwich. I chose not to get the pickled onions, but c'mon.

Coffee hardly ever filled, mixed with cream empty half the time. The attitude of about 30% of staff, thank God for the nice ones.

Solely staffed by people under 17. This is the slowest place I've ever been and will not be returning.

Olive Garden has never been the place to go to for out of this world culinary adventures or anything - but they did comfort Italian food that was basic but good. Things have changed though. The food tonight smacked of laziness. It isn't often I walk away from a restaurant saying, "I could have done that way better," but given how simple rigatoni with meat sauce should be, I know I could. Next time I think of coming back, I'll go to the store and make it myself. One other thing, stop forcing your wait staff to say "we" when they mean "you." "Are we ready to order, or do we need a couple more minutes?" Despite what you may think it is NOT ingratiating. It's just grating.

I only had one bowl of the wedding soup and was getting full. The food was fresh, hot, and each tasted great. I enjoyed having a few bites of each before getting a box to go. The waitress gave me an extra soup to go and a ton of chocolates. Can't beat the take home entrée either. We all know the breadsticks haven't been the same since forever but they are still fine. So yes, as always, I'll be back

I still gave three stars - primarily because our both the host and server were very friendly and provided great service. The dining area was also comfortable and very clean throughout. Now that we got the positives out of the way, let's discuss some of the issues.. First of all, just look at that Fettuccine Alfredo in my photo! I know Olive Garden has never been "authentic" Italian pasta or somewhere to expect exceptionally gourmet quality, but this Fettuccine was exceptionally BAD!! A watery, soggy, & crappy MESS! The portion size was similarly ridiculous. Can't even fill the bowl that is already designed to make it deceptively look like more than it really is - I had basically finished it within 2-3 fork-filled bites! Also, this is perhaps just the larger corporate policy at this point, but since when did entrees get limited to only one refill of your soup or salad that comes along with it? Either way, this was mostly a disappointing experience, and I'm not sure if I'll be stopping at an Olive Garden again in the near future...

Sushi Kim's manages the remarkable feat of disappointing before the meal even begins…read more The restaurant is reached by a steep, narrow staircase, followed by a closed door that is awkward to navigate with strollers. We arrived with a 2 year old and newborn, and the entrance alone made it clear that families, older guests, and anyone with mobility limitations were not especially well considered. We chose Sushi Kim's for my wife's birthday because she loves Korean food, while I planned to order sushi. Upon arrival, however, we were informed that sushi was unavailable...an unfortunate surprise at a restaurant with "Sushi" in its name. The explanation became even more perplexing when another table was later served sushi after our order arrived at our table. Service was slow despite the dining room being nearly empty. Water arrived in plastic cups from what appeared to be a cheap reused plastic pitcher filled directly from the tap and stored in a refrigerator. (My wife actually saw them filling the just used pitchers in the visible bar area, no washing) The presentation felt less like a restaurant experience and more like something improvised in a break room. The food itself did little to redeem the evening. Portions were remarkably small, and my five foot tall, 100 lbs wife, who rarely leaves a restaurant hungry, did exactly that. At approximately $72, the meal represented poor value by any reasonable standard. What's worse is that is clearly frozen box food!!! The evening concluded with suggested gratuities of 18%, 20%, and 22%, which felt particularly tone deaf after slow service, limited menu availability, meager portions, and an overall lack of hospitality. Sushi Kim's may have history and loyal customers, but our experience was cramped, confusing, overpriced, and thoroughly underwhelming. A birthday dinner should feel memorable for the right reasons. Unfortunately, this one did not. Sushi Kim needs a rescue as they appear to have fallen in hard financial times and the reasons why appear obvious.
