So this was my first time trying Panera bread. I didn't expect much, it was a last resort. However, it has turned into a top pick after my experience today. Zavier/Zay at the register made my experience 10/10 with great pointers and tasty recommendations. I had the Bacon Mac (9.5) and creamy chicken/wild rice soup (100/10). I'll totally recommend and definitely will be back. Thanks Zay for the excellent service and thank you Panera for the delicious food.

Can't really say something about the customer service since I ordered online, because of the cover-19. But they did make the food in 10 minutes which was awesome. In Addition the food was freaking good honestly I loved it so tasty and delicious. I got the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt and a mango smoothie on the side. Also the sandwich was a pretty good size the mango smoothie not so much wish they had a bigger size. Furthermore I recommend this Panera Bread location.

A great place for breakfast This restaurant is located on the northeast side of the Tom Hill Sr Blvd and Northside Drive. It shares the building with one other business and is surrounded by parking lots so there is plenty of parking. As an added bonus there are electric vehicle charging stations across from this location. The store has parking inside and outside. The inside seating has the usual setup with a mix of booths tables and side seating. It has the muted colors that the Panera Decor is known for. The outside seating portion is very tastefully done with a separation wall and several tables to the right of the entrance. As with all other Panera restaurants, you can order online and inside. The counter is to the left as you enter and the menu is mounted behind it. The staff was very friendly and courteous in taking our order. We got their quiches. As usual, they were delicious and served on real plates with real silverware. The inside area was not busy and was very clean. The only downside is the prices are high and getting higher for their food. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend it to fellow travelers to the area.

"Everything" bagel. Seriously?? Where's the Quality control?? Using extra cream cheese on this one.

This Panera branch never seems to hit the mark. I've stood in line unable to get service at the counter because it's "Bagel Tuesday" (or Wednesday, or whatever) and they're too busy (and understaffed) preparing preorders. My husband has returned home with everything from undercooked to burned bagels. Recently their "everything" bagel appeared to be more of a poppy and sesame bagel. So disappointing. Anyone know of a good bagel shop in Macon??

Food is always good at Panera, it's the cashier. I don't think she liked her job, she was arguing with customers!

After seeing the stellar reviews, I decided to give Pho Cali Vietnamese Soup & Grill a try. I've now ordered from them three separate times to give a fair, honest take. Ordering online has been easy each time, and my go-to has been the seafood stir-fried noodles. My first order was actually really good. The seafood and vegetables were fresh, perfectly cooked, and flavorful, though there were quite a few noodles and they leaned a bit mushy. My second visit, I ordered the same dish and it came with lo mein noodles instead, which changed the texture and overall experience in a way I didn't enjoy as much. On my third try, I went in hoping to recreate that first experience, but it landed a bit underwhelming again. That said, the fried calamari was a standout, crispy, well seasoned, and honestly some of the best I've had. While I haven't dined in yet, the few interactions I've had during pickups have been pleasant. The staff is friendly, the space appears clean, and the ambiance feels cozy and inviting. Based on the reviews, I know the pho is what many people come for, so that will definitely be my next order. Overall, it's a spot I'm willing to revisit, especially to explore more of the menu beyond what I've tried so far.

AN EXPERIENCE NOT JUST A MEAL…read more This place is located in a kind of seedy downtown area of Macon. We walked in and the vibe throughout the place won me over instantly. When the staff seem to enjoy their jobs and working with each other as well, chances are you have a winner. We were seated immediately in a cozy booth with floor to ceiling graffiti. The place just oozed character! We were told that at times in the loft above our heads they had live music FYI. The waitress was friendly and on point. We never found ourselves waiting to order or for drinks, etc. The food was great. We started with the solid gold soul rolls which were tasty. I'd say 2-3 people for this app. My wife had the hot pig and fig which she enjoyed. She wanted something a little light and it was perfect for her. I ordered the Dr John Burger. The cook forgot my bacon . No bueno. Our waitress was game and was quick to bring me bacon to complete the burger. It was well cooked and the flavors were excellent so all was good. Our companion enjoyed her food as well. We all left full and happy. And, yes I would return and I recommend trying them yourself.

We started with the fried green tomatoes, which were a great appetizer--crispy, flavorful, and a nice way to kick things off. For our entrées, we had the fish and chips and the smoked turkey sandwich. The fish had a nice crispy batter, and the smoked turkey sandwich was tasty and satisfying. My only disappointment was the fries. They were a bit soggy and lacked the crispiness I was hoping for, especially with the fish and chips. A crisp, hot fry would have taken the meal to the next level. Overall, the food was good, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

Stopped here on the road from Savannah to Atlanta for some authentic shrimp and grits…read more Appetizer fried green tomatoes were DELICIOUS! We've been fried green tomato'ing it across Georgia and loving them. This simple looking plate was exceptionally seasoned, perhaps the tomatoes were even marinated. There was just so much flavor! So - the shrimp and grits! These were Cajun/creole style so not traditional but very tasty! Hard to describe the sauce - maybe a bit smokey, a bit sweet. I don't know the flavors I was tasting. It wasn't punch your face flavor but a well-crafted smooth full flavored bite! The sausage in it particularly stood out! Delicious! Hubby had the shrimp Po Boy, and wow! Honestly, it was even better! Large shrimp, really well seasoned and crusted with cornmeal batter. The bread roll was the best! Soft, tasty, just made the Po Boy easy to eat, unlike most who just throw the shrimp on a chewy cut of French bread. This was truly superior! And the side of beans and rice?? Best best best evahhhh! The service was really good. Pleasant and knowledgeable staff. EXCEPT: Why were the grits served to me with grits dripping off the side of the bowl? The server even turned the dripping side towards me and placed it in front of me like that. I took a napkin and started cleaning the bowl so the grits wouldn't accidentally touch my dress, and the server just watched. Didn't offer to clean it or replace it. I was a server in another life. I know that isn't acceptable. I don't serve friends and family a plate or bowl that's dripping off the side. I don't expect that at restaurant. But, I consider it a one off. Mistakes happen. I cleaned. I ate it. And the grits were good. Atmosphere: The place was dark and sexy. Cool atmosphere. But I had to knock it several stars for the women's bathroom. In addition to it generally being basic. Not "dirt" but not clean feeling. A giant tile was missing from the ceiling directly over the toilet! Talk about feeling naked and like someone is spying on you! I couldn't wait to get out of there! It's clear that there is maintenance needed in the ceiling and that's why the tile is missing. But no good reason why they can't put a cloth cover or some kind of screen to cover the hole. It is entirely uncomfortable and unacceptable. Hopefully that issue will be fixed soon. And they will also take the time to upgrade the bathroom feeling - nice soap, luxurious paper hand towels, deep clean the floor and walls. Then the entire restaurant will be cohesive, elegant, sexy, cool.
