I ordered 2 sandwiches both with chips, a bacon mac and cheese, 2 cookies, a souffle and a drink. Waited about 20 mins, I was cool with that, there were others ordering, picking up and drivers waiting on deliveries. I dropped the mac and cheese at my daughter, who works in the area. Love love love Panera! This one however, lacked a bit. The cashier rushed us as we ordered, and she wasn't patient with us as we asked about food options. The food was good though. I had the creamy chicken wild rice soup and the chipotle chicken panini. My soup and panini were so good! I also took advantage of the .99c pastry and tried the cobblestone muffin. The muffin was hard, stale and dry, I was disappointed because their pastries are normally very good. The tables and floor were dirty and they needed more lids in the fountain area. The first time I tried the Green Passion Smoothie was here at this location and I'm addicted now. I'm not sure if it's the girl who makes it here that just makes it really good but I would definitely recommend it. It's a smoothie with no dairy which I love. I ordered a Green Goddess Salad with Chicken. It states that the salad comes with arugula, romaine, baby kale, and red leaf blend. It was just romaine lettuce. It's supposed to be topped with grape tomatoes, pickled onions, applewood smoked bacon, avocado, and boiled egg. There was no bacon, or regular tomatoes but just a few pieces. A half of a half avocado. It was this big bowl of lettuce with a sprinkle of toppings. That was a waste of my 13 dollars. Plus the free baguette was not in the bag. The Panera bread (cafe #600923). I love this restaurant but this location definitely needs to improve on their customer service skills. If you're ever in this area and want Panera, I suggest that you go to the location in Conyers. My last two experiences (last week and today) were unacceptable. Last week, I ordered a turkey chill. I waited about 10 minutes for my order and the guy tells me that they were out of it. I ask the young man why didn't the cashier tell me that, and his response was that she didn't know. I politely recommended that they should inform the cashiers up front. Today, I ordered a grill cheese with white cheese and it was wrong. I went back to the counter to inform them of the mistake. The lady tells me that she put both cheeses because she didn't know to take the other off and she turned around. I tried again to explain and I received the same treatment. Finally, I asked could she make it again with the cheese I requested and she aggressively says, "he's making it." I couldn't believe it. What about customer service? I don't know if this Panera is understaffed or if the staff is just overworked or under-trained, but I just had a not-great experience with this store...I ordered the Napa chicken salad sandwich, and when I got it home I found that I had paid $10.41 for a lettuce and not-ripe tomato sandwich. There was a tiny bit of chicken, no almonds, and one-half of a grape. (Yes--1/2.) The sandwich had been slammed together and seemingly nobody cared... Been to this location 3 times. This time was the worst of them all. Everything was going well until i found mold in the fruit cup half way through eating it. As i wait in line to let them know about the mold..the associates were having their own conversation for several minutes which I can't stand to go into any business and the employees are talking about things that should be talked about on their lunch break or after work. The lady refunded me and her attitude was like she could care less. I was offered a Danish but declined her attitude about the whole thing was blah which was crazy to me cause I'm the one who should of had a attitude not her. When she finished she just looked at me and blinked a few times. Then she said, "I can take who's next." I didn't even want to order anything at that point. Let's talk about what just happened. I was just at Panera and ordered food for my wife who wasn't feeling well and myself. I ordered this food, and go to pay. The young lady was nice so I decide to leave a tip. I do this and swipe my card and get a declined action which had funds on it. So I'm like weird, I'll try another card. It goes through without issue but because it shows there's a balance left. The young lady ask about the card and I let her know thee are plenty of funds for the purchase (Hence why it went through). The manager comes over and figures out it's because the tip is left off and cancels the transaction so I can swipe again. So even though the authorization went through he cancels and now I have that tender on my card after I say the issue is now to swipe again (after I offered to leave a cash tip and begin to put it in the jar he says that they will hold onto the tip)* I then make them have no choice but to pay again at this point, so I swipe the same card and it declines (mine you my bank gives instant alerts). I see the funds there and am like why is that declined. He said do you have another card you can try? (I should have said we will use this one but I was just fed up at this point). I try another card with plenty of funds and it goes through. (Mind you I know how POS systems work from a technical side and employee based side and that ain't it). I finally had to say no tip and only because the young lady was nice (I'm not taking my money out of her hand because of the managements response). I then go to the counter to wait for my food and he places it on plates and calls my name. I say, "I ordered it to go", and I could see on their faces that mistake as well. He then went on to handle it and apologize and the young man (not the management) corrected it. I don't have a problem of mistakes. I have a problem with how they handled the way the mistakes continued to unfold. The young lady (tried to do the right thing and was great) did well, the young man did his best with the food (corrected his mistake) totally okay. The management did not. It's a problem when I'd rather have the young employees who are nice and cordial be management over someone I'm sure they say has "experience" but did not display that. I am disappointed because I've been there a few times and this was the worst Panera experience I've ever had. Also just got home and two of the pastries are missing. Also tried calling during regular hours when it is normally available as I've spoken to them when making orders before closing before and they never picked up. read more
