i honestly don't expect much from a chain but dang this is the messiest sammich i've ever received, it looks like they just threw cheese and peppers all over the place, also we got a bread bowl and the serving of chili was so small it didn't even fill the bread bowl :/

Raw Orange Scone

First I gotta say we have recently gone back to Panera after years of not going because I thought it was just not that good. We have gone a couple times recently for lunch/dinner options and were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed our food. I had the new spicy chicken and it's honestly bomb. But this review isn't based on that. This review is based on the breakfast I got this morning. I decided to go with the bacon egg and cheese on croissant cause that's right up my alley. 2/10 it was bland, plastic like texture probably from the cheese, and flat croissant that was lukewarm at best. 100% would never order it again. I also went with an orange scone and the entire center was raw. I have gotten a couple lately and they've all been soooo good. The person who made them, the person who packaged it, no one noticed they were COMPLETELY RAW?! It's just lazy and zero communication nor care. Just when Panera was getting back on my hood side they go and blow it horribly.

Very good bread here. Mac and cheese is always amazing and broccoli cheddar bread bowl was very good. The citrus punch juice was my favorite and I recommend.

I had never been so disappointed with ordering Panera Bread. I love the location out here in Seattle near home. We were on the road coming back from spending the weekend in Oregon. My boyfriend and I were so hungry and decided to get Panera bread since it was late and we weren't going to make it to the one by our home. We map quested ourselves to this location. I was so excited to eat try their new salad. I'm a fan of their salads over all, especially their seasonal one during the summer. I didn't notice until we got home and had already driven an hr that my salad and fruit looked like this. The container felt sticky and gross from the outside and it didn't even have any dressing in it. Then when I open it, I see this huge piece of hard old looking cabbage just tossed in there. I was starving and so tired that I was going to attempt to eat it and just toss the cabbage piece but when I took a closer look I noticed a small cream type piece that looks like mushroom or something. What ever it was, it looks like it has some type of mold growing. Completely bothered by this experience. The fruit container looked like someone ate from it. That is such a rip off to pay an extra $3 dollars to substitute fruit. This is not acceptable!

Xander's Incredible Sandwiches - The Macho Sandwich

This food truck has an excellent presence on social media, so they've been on my radar for quite a…read morewhile. I went to this truck while it was near Microsoft's building in Downtown Bellevue, close to my work. They are pretty good about posting their location on Twitter - so follow them! Anyway, I got "El Macho" - Marinated Steak, Crema, Cilantro, Guac, and Cotija Cheese on a challah roll. First impression... not a challah roll. That's a very specific kind of bread that kind of looks like braids - not sure why they'd misclassify it? Just marketing? Very weird. Anyway, the bread was a perfectly good sandwich/hoagie kind of roll. Super soft inside. A little crisp on the outside. Great! The filling was a little sparse. I expected a little more from it, but it was well balanced, to be fair. The meat was tender and pretty good, though lacking seasoning. The "guac" was kind of a non-entity - it gave a nice mouthfeel, but I didn't get much avocado, onion, or anything from it. The cotija cheese definitely shined through, which is why I said it was well balanced. An imbalance of meat/avocado could have completely hidden it, but it was definitely there - and tasty! I paid $13.00 for the full sandwich. They offered waffle fries for $1 more, which I declined. I don't think I needed it - I'm stuffed. While I expected it to be bigger, I don't think it needed to be. I think my ideal lunch would be a more-stuffed, full-on, half-sandwich with some waffle fries and ketchup (or maybe some inspired, interesting sauce!) - maybe next time. There are so many really great places to get a sandwich in Bellevue: Potbelly is half the price (and better) and Homegrown is similarly priced with better sandwiches. So, the market is a tough one to compete. I would have expected something more elevated for the price - better seasoning, more of a punch/interest/fun, something... For kind of a Mexican inspired sandwich (like a torta), there was no heat. No spice. No sauce.

Sandwich was small. Basically a small amount of meat on a hot dog bun. The meat didn't even cover…read morethe whole bun. Way too expensive for what was served! Also: if a main ingredient [listed on your menu as part of a sandwich] is out of stock [or wasn't "prepared for you"] - you should let your customers know before they order! Don't assume they will accept mayo as a substitute. Yuck!

T-mobile sent out a BOGO deal for Firehouse Subs which gives me a chance to try this franchise out…read moreas I have heard good things about them. My boyfriend and I made our order and it was pretty much made almost on time. They seemed to have a few online orders as well as in-person orders as there were a few people dining in and some waiting for their order. The inside was clean with plenty of tables and chairs for people to sit at to eat their food or wait. There was firefighter suit and equipment near the entrance which I thought was fitting. The staff here were friendly and professional, they would greet anyone who came in. We got the medium hook and ladder which was really good. I asked for extra lettuce, tomatoes, and onions but I feel like only the onions were extra as it looked the same as my boyfriend's which had no customizations. I love the careful construction of the sandwich as it didn't fall apart like Subway sandwiches. I also appreciate the hot sauce bar and it has changed my perspective of hot sauce on sandwiches which now I will be doing too! My boyfriend was also very impressed and even tempted to get another sandwich as he wanted to try one of the other sandwiches as he loved his so much. Now the issue with this experience was that I threw up and I had nothing else that day except this sandwich. I'm concerned if the quality of the vegetables or maybe the hot sauce caused this. I did voice my concerns to Firehouse Subs and they said they would look into it.

Their food is freaking AMAZING. Cheddar beef brisket is the best sandwich you'll find in Tacoma!…read more IMHO
