I work just minutes from Kent Station Panera. I really like their food but their service is absolutely horrible. And this isn't a one time thing. I have even complained to the manager. I got a nice "I'm sorry" letter and a five dollar voucher but the service hasn't changed. The employees talk to one another too much and show no sense of urgency to get your order out. And when it does come out it is almost always wrong. Today I was waiting for too long for my to-go order while two girls just talked behind the counter. I politely mentioned that I was in a hurry and some girl named Hailey rolled her eyes and said "They're all in a hurry." Right in front of me. WHAT?!? Who says that to a paying customer?! Don't go here. There are plenty of other places you can get a good salad that don't treat their customers like garbage. read more

Came yesterday for coffee in the morning and decided to come back for lunch since I was in the area. Lunch was okay had the Turkey Cranberry Flatbread, it was better than it looked. I like that Panera has put in self service stations to help control the line. And the service is always friendly and quick. Will never spend another dime nor second on Panera Bread. Went in this morning to grab lunch, after watching every single other customer served before me, I finally asked for my money back. I ordered the strawberry poppyseed chicken and a steak arugula sandwich. I requested no spread or sauce. I'm allergic to a few items and wanted it plain. When I got home, there was this spread on the bread. I was disappointed to say the least because I was really looking forward to eating the sandwich. The avocado I ordered on the side was gross. One of the avocados was firm and when I bit into it, it was very hard. I rarely go to Panera Bread and that is probably why. I asked for a dinner roll and it was hard too. read more

I met a girl friend here for an early dinner yesterday. I just sent an email to the company hoping they could do something to make me want to go back or at least give me my money back. I had herd Panera had AWESOME!! sandwiches. I have seen pictures of them. I had herd from friends about their catering company lunches. Kent and Allen came to a friends work with free catering from their radio show. When I checked into Panera on Face Book I got Yummms back. I could not "WAIT" to try them out. I got the Cuban. I was so excited! Are you with me on the build up Yipee!! Yummi!! "It" came burnt on one side with a sliver of ham hovering in the corner and one chunk of chicken and a great slather of spread and a pickle. The food was served hot and fresh. I've ordered the Thia salad....oh my...delicious, and the chicken noodle soup with sour dough bread is also my favorite. Went in to Panera at 4pm today. We ordered 2 sandwiches and a salad to go. The food was good, the service was bad? They weren't busy and had at least 4 people working. The customer a head of us had soup and a hot panini. It sat for more than 5 min for someone to serve it to their table. The sandwich maker called for a runner 3 times before anyone came out from the back. Next a girl walked in asked for her discount and proceeded to go behind the counter to make her own drink. When we finally got our order home we found a torn loaf a bread tossed in our bag. I don't know was managing, but it was not very professional and paying a couple staff to do nothing. read more

Even though the prices may be high, their portains make up for it. I came just as lunch rush started, placed my order and received it fairly quickly as though i'd been in a drive thru. While eating saw the lunch crowd place and receive theirs just as fast. This is a great place to visit if your looking for some good comfort food. I go here a lot for breakfast and lunch, when I am in the area. This Panera is at the Kent Station, which is across the street from the King County Court House as well as the Showare Center. For breakfast I like the bagels and cream cheese, the bagels are kind of chewy, and as good as anything you can get in the best bagel shop in NY. For lunch I like the broccoli cheese soup, which is great as well. Can't get enough of that soup. The staff is friendly, and there is plenty of parking. Plus this is good company that does a lot for the community. What's not to like about good food, made quickly, and a nice place to enjoy a meal. Also free wifi. read more

This place is really going down hill. I tried for over half an hour to call in my order ended up driving to the store and placing my order at the register but while I waited in line I called the store to see if they were answering at all.. No one, not even the manager on shift Cat even blinked when the phone kept ringing over and over. I mentioned this to the manager Cat and she didnt seem to care at all basically laughed at me for even bringing it up like it's so unimportant why am I even mentioning it... so I asked the other manager on shift about if they're supposed to be answering the phones while it was ringing and she perked up with concern and said yes all calls should be being answered I'm sorry if your call wasn't answered and directly told the register associates to pay attention to the phones . Well they ignored her which is pretty disappointing to say the least. So much for placing an order ahead to pick up... when I finally got my order the bread was burnt and the tomatoes in my sandwich were rotten seems kind of ridiculous for a ten dollar sandwich. While I was eating I pulled out a piece of gristle from the chicken which had attached to some fuzzy grey hair that maybe came from some animal? I don't have pets.... thanks a lot Panera... So I moved onto my pickle... same issue found more animal hair... I attached the original hair to the pickle next to the other hair I found and took a nice picture will be going back tomorrow for a refund absolutely unacceptable. This panera really needs to get it together... this was a very disgusting meal that I spent 15 dollars to put in the trash... also good luck showing up at a time where bagels or bread is available... honestly do these managers get paid to run this place into the ground? The Pepsi fountain needed to be changed. We told them TWICE. We were there for 20 minutes. They still didn't change it. By the time we left, they still didn't change it. Also, their potato soup was extremely thin and bland; we had better from them in the past. Will not go back to this particular place again. The one in Southcenter is much better. read more

First and last time customer, dirty tables and booths, eight in total. Asked several people to clean or give me a rag so I could clean before I sat down. eight minutes later I waited with my food in my hand and asked again for someone to clean a table. The counter people were rude about cleaning, person came and wiped half of the crumbs off and on to my seat. Ordered steak and cheese with french onion soup, Received two thin slices of roast beef and a small piece of cheese, The cheese didn't even cover length of bread. Combined with a cold piece of whole grain bread. Soup tasted old, very mushy. My girlfreind and I both got sick Not worth the price, left hungry and disappointed. The food isn't bad but very unsanitary! The man that was making the sandwhiches was also taking the beepers!! He would take the beepers which had been in purses pockets and a babies mouth and then with the same gloves go right back to making sandwhiches. Yuck! I complained and got a new sandwich. Not going to lie, we go to Panera a lot, because it's my son's favorite place. Normally we eat there, but today I'm not feeling well and wanted some chicken noodle soup. So I ordered two large soups to go with bread as the side for both. I get home and I only had one chunk of bread and my large soup was 1 1/4 cups. I know this because I was shocked and disappointed I measured it. I wonder how much a small is? Really frustrated!!! And it's freezing cold in there. read more

Panera restaurants as a whole have gone downhill since they first started popping up but this one is worse than most and I have given it many chances since I work nearby. I usually get my food to go. Last time they forgot the dressing for my salad, most recently they put a spoon in my bag instead of a fork (again it was a salad) and the lettuce was old and wilted. Normally I am in a hurry when I get my food to go so I don't feel like I should have to do their job for them and verify everything in my bag is correct. I gave them a chance to make it up to me by asking, "since you forgot my dressing altogether last time, any chance I could get an extra piece of French bread?" And was told "well that will be 75 cents..." Ok just forget it then. So much for good service to make up for it. If you want to purchase food that is nearby, quick, and actually edible save yourself the heartache and go to Pita Extreme or Chipotle. read more

There is a worker at the Kent station Panera named JOAN she has got to be the most foul mouthed rude old lady I've ever met. She was the cashier and her service was horrible, short and curt, and she cusses under her breath, although you can still hear her, so it's reall not under her breath. I will NEVER come back to the Kent Panera, I'll drive all the way to the Puyallup store before ever going back there. Horrible horrible horrible. the last 3 salads i have purchased for take out were all minus the chicken. tonight it was the strawberry, poppyseed, chicken salad, and the two others were the fuji chicken salad. why didn't I take it back was because it was a 30 min drive. they had a large line up and one cashier so someone came from the kitchen to help. then she went back to the kitchen and started on the orders. by this time I was 6th in line for pick-up and would be willing to bet she left the chicken out of every salad. this was a Sat eve, 6:45. I feel you owe me a free salad and if in the future I will make them open the box and show me. when I pay 10 dollars for a take out order I expect it to be correct. restaurant was vastly understaffed. 2 women and one young boy. read more

I agree with Carrie T COMPLETELY! I ordered the "big kid" grilled cheese" with tomato soup and asked the cashier if it had any meat in it (since I am a vegetarian and can't stand the taste or smell of pork plus I love piggies). He said well I'd suggest you go with the regular grilled cheese WITHOUT meat so I agreed. I get my togo order, look it over and everything appears normal granted I didn't open any containers but there was a grilled sandwich and red soup so I assumed it was correct. I drive all the way back to work, take a bite of what I hoped would be an awesome sandwich and warm soup but bit into a grilled cheese WITH quite a bit of bacon which almost made me lose the water I had drank before my first bite. The soup was not impressive either, my whisked Campbell's tomato out-stomped the flavor of their creamy tomato (and was not drowned in salt) by far. So here I am now with no lunch that I paid $8 for (which I gave to another coworker rather than waste it) and do not have enough time to leave again to go get something different. So I called to politely let them know they want to keep an eye a bit more closer on their special orders or orders with no meat because I knew how bad it sucked to now not have a lunch and have to wait til I'm off work. The guy was friendly on the telephone (as most of the employees are in store as well) but he didn't even bother to ask what item I had ordered or how I had ordered it which I think would be a good question to ask to then take to the food preppers and say hey, here's something you missed, keep an eye out next time. At least something! He did offer to get me in touch with manager after he offered for them to replace the meal. I told him I did not have additional break time to drive back down there again to get a second order. I declined as I know the manager is probably very busy but I wasn't looking for a replacement, I was looking for a simple apology and a yes we will definitely keep an eye out more so on special orders. I bet my call will go no where further than the gentleman I spoke to :( Sad, you'd think they'd want to improve their customer service...which as I can see from the other reviews here, is slacking :( I get much better service at the one in South Center than I do this one so I think in the future, I'll drive a little bit further to go there instead! read more
