Panera Bread is a restaurant in which you can find delicious pastries, food, salads or drinks. Winter is arriving and many people look for something warm to eat or drink. Here you can findbith, they have different types of tasty soups and a variety of pastries in which you can have with a cup of coffee or chocolate. During summer I love getting the fruit smoothies and the iced green tea. My favorite menu deal is the Get 3 item for about 7 dollars. This deal includes 1/2 a sandwich, 1 soup or salad, and a apple or baked chips. What else can i ask for!! Did the rapid pick-up for the Strawberry poppyseed salad with chicken. Paid $10 for wilted, brown lettuce salad. What a waste of money. Took 3 bites of the good pieces I found and tossed the rest in the trash. You'd think for a chain that specializes in salads and sandwiches, they'd pay more attention to the produce they're serving. read more

This location has been a disappointment to me over time. Tonight I ordered a Green Goddess Cobb Salad with Chicken and they did not add the chicken. My sons grilled cheese sandwich was over cooked and hard. Their employees seemed irritated in their tone, including interrupting me when I was in the middle of an order. Although we got our food to go, the restaurant was not as tidy and clean as it used to be. They ran out of yogurt and did not even care to ask us if we preferred an alternative. The employee just threw an apple in the bag as a substitute. I knew that they had ran out because I was waiting right next to the counter and had overheard. When I mentioned it to her and said we'd prefer chips, she threw the bag towards me. Panera's menu is way too costly for this kind of treatment and professionalism. Hanford is up and coming with several restaurants with very good customer service and great food, so this Panera needs to shape up before they get shipped out! read more

Used to be good. Going downhill. Lots of incorrect orders. Seems understaffed at most times.

I really don't like waiting in line without a word - greeting - just a moment - or anything - for 5 or more minutes while 3 or 4 employees meander around, walk by, and just generally ignore us. We walked into Hanford Panera up to the counter of vacant registers. One clerk was boxing pastries a few feet away. No "Hello", no "I'll be right with you", no anything at all. At least 5 minutes. Maybe this is the new way of service, but I think it sets the stage for a totally bad experience. Finally, a passing by cook noticed there was a growing line at the unoccupied registers, and called "Lizzie," who was in the food prep area, over. This was the same person that I had noticed looking our way 2-3 times without apparent care. Lizzie came to the rescue, although appearing somewhat disgruntled. Without kindness or smile she took our order. I then noticed her name tag. It said "associate trainer"! Ha! I think Lizzie as well as the rest of the clerks need some training. When my wife spoke to the manager, she (the manager) was nice and said she would bring it up at a meeting. We'll see what happens the next time we are in. Meanwhile, one star. You may think I'm pounding the drum a little loud and maybe I'm old fashioned, but I don't care to go anywhere to spend money and receive poor manners and lack of common courtesy. This location is such a disappointment, last straw! Never again will I return to this location. This location is the worst! It's always dirty, customer service is horrible. Girl at the register stood there just looking at me when I walked up. Didn't acknowledge me no, hello? No are you ready to order? just looked at me I had to ask her "are you ready to take my order" her response was "yes"...... Orders are always behind, people are sitting around waiting for take out orders. Dine in wait time even longer, I waited outside in the patio area for 25min. I ordered the pick two half Modern Greek quinoa salad (added chicken) and Turkey chili. When the buzzer finally went off I go up to get my order and the salad was missing the dressing and of course the chicken that they charged me extra for the chili was extra thick and cold. Best soup, bread, sandwiches and salads in town. Good clam chowder. GREAT creamy tomato soup. Desserts are amazing. Probably the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever tasted. Their fresh baked bread selection is extensive, and not too pricey if you like artisan breads and fresh bagels. I've been here twice. The first time I was disappointed with my tiny $6.00 sandwich and soup combo. The sandwich was waaay too small and skimpy for the price. On another visit I had the super thin crust pizza and it was, in my opinion a much better value for the money. Menu is good but the staff is HORRIBLE!! There is absolutely no customer service ay all and nobody seems to know what they are doing. I tried placing a mobile order at 7:05, the item I wanted is not an available option...bagels. I called in trying to place it over the phone, i was hung up on. Call again, all I got was a lazy time saying to keep trying. No offer to take my order. I finally place it as ASAP pick up since I'm on my way to work and received a confirmation it would be ready in five minutes. I arrived fifteen minutes later and saw my order was not in pick up area so I ask cashier for it. She points at a bag as says it still needs to be toasted. I ask for an approximate time...brushes it off and says she doesn't know. I questioned her on my order and she gets the manager... what an example to set for her employees. She does not address me or my concerns despite the fact that her employee pointed me out to her. She just waddles away at a slow pace never addressing me. I am already late to work and NOTHING is getting done to address me or my incomplete order. read more

Food was good and have normally had a good time here. Only issue is that children run around the dining area, climb all over tables, and are generally disruptive to all of the customers without staff or management doing anything about it. read more

There isn't much competition to speak of, but this the best chocolate croissant in Hanford.

Food was great. Ordered the 1/2 chicken Caesar salad and 1/2 broccoli cheese soup. Food temp was perfect. Also had a half Bacon Turkey sandwich. Food was brought out to me. I love the consistency and the fresh selections. I also like that they are just a little expensive so the people who usually frequent there tend to be a little classier that your average burger king crowd. This place is a great sandwich place in Hanford (though it is a chain) with great soups and good sandwiches. This location had a very friendly employee who actually ran us through the entire menu since we had never been to a Panera. We ended up getting the black bean soup and some vegetarian sandwich (which was good, but not great). The soup was excellent, although the sandwich lacked a lot of the essential ingredients, I think. They also have snacks and drinks in case you are not wanting a full meal. I just recently heard there was a Panera closer to Fresno, so I think I will stop by that location! read more

Why offer a service if your food isn't going to be ready. I ordered my large order the night before in order to not have to wait, like I am at this moment. I work & was simply trying to be pro-active . Now I will be late & I have received no apologies, nothing. Such poor customer service that I will not be s return customer! I want to like this place, but I just can't. I've been here a handful of times and my order has always been wrong. They have always been quick to fix it, but gettin up 3 times to ask for stuff that they forgot is kind of annoying when you're paying for a $10 small sandwich. Chicken Cobb salad and green tea is bomb that's really all I ever order. I did have the blubbery scone and the sugar free gluten free cookie which was very good. Last night I order the chicken Cobb w/o avocado and the order taker rung it up correctly but the preparer put it on by mistake, I'm allergic to avocado so this ruined my meal. I called and complained and was told to come back tomorrow since they were now closed and they will remake it for me. They also was out of bread and offered me a apple or a bag of chips you know we come for that bread don't play but I do recommend just check your food before you go. It's really nice, in a smaller city like Hanford, to have the option of going to Panera Bread rather than an everyday Subway because they offer specialty sandwiches. My favorite is the roast beef asiago. The sandwich has thick slices of roast beef that have a little bit of a marbled effect from the fat in the meat; the smoked cheddar adds some hearty dimension; the asiago cheese bread is a freshly baked artisan bread; the red onions and horseradish sauce give some bite to the sandwich; and the dill pickle on the side is one of my favorite parts of the meal. My favorite things from their bakery section are their chocolate chip muffies (the best part of a muffin is always the crusty top, so muffies are just that--I often wonder if they took the idea from Cosmo Kramer); the chocolate filled croissant is heavenly; and, their cinnamon raisin bread is very tasty, can be bought by the loaf, they will slice it for you if you like at whatever width pleases you and it makes an awesome french toast in your own kitchen! read more

So I've found Panera to always be somewhat delightful, had some issues with my orders from this Panera before, but nothing too concerning. I would like to admit a problem for them since they apparently have no idea about it. The tables are always, ALWAYS, dirty. Crumbs, old food, CRUMBS. No cleaning crew? Idk. Always finding myself having to do their job for them before I eat. Anyways... Today... man, let me tell ya.. Went to pick up an order we placed online. Sobu edamame, strawberry poppyseed salad, caprese sandwhich, and some 7.50 grilled cheese for my daughter because they were out of kids grilled cheese (wtf?!) anyways.. poppyseed salad had two versions, one with chicken, one without chicken (of course we got the one we didn't order). Next! ..The sobu... had an immeasurable f***-ton of cilantro on it....just..why? Despite that.. it was still subpar. And last, and preferably my favorite part of this ill fated meal; caprese sandwhich. Anyone, with a decent amount of common sense (which I understand is not the case most of the time) knows that there is cheese in a caprese sandwich. Or a caprese salad. No cheese, just arugula and tomatoes. I mean really? Is your job that hard?! It's a CAPRESE SANDWHICH (caprese salads cousin). CAPRESE. Anyway... won't be going here again. read more

Never had been to a Panera Bread before. I chose the pick 2, you select from an assortment to get a nice soup and salad combo (or soup and sandwich). The food was warm, fresh and quick. Very reasonable prices and heavenly aroma for bread lovers. If you are watching salt intake stay away from the yummy but salty soups. The spicy chicken salad was very nice. They had sliced lemons available to put in your drinks, I was pretty much sold on the place after I saw that. Tasty, fresh food, relatively healthy, made fast; who could ask for more? Don't got to that fast food drive thru, go to Panera, you will be happier for it. read more

Because I'll be reviewing three places today, and this is my second one, I'll try and keep this brief. Unfortunately, the wit has run out. Went here after a jaunt to Target. My son placed his order, something was missing. We got home and he realized it when he was about to eat. I called, complained. Was told that they would replace the missing item...a bread bowl. They were just going to give me bread for the inconvenience. I had to call, I was missing an item, and I live in Lemoore. I'm not driving to Hanford for bread. Is it me or is that just ridiculous? He wanted the bread with the meal, meal wouldn't be replaced but you'll give me bread. Smh! Anyway, you can imagine my frustration, I voiced it and a manager finally came on. I will say this, Evelyn did cancel my order, so don't have to pay, and she offered a free meal when we come in again. Thank you! I didn't need all that, but her customer service is beyond awesome.
