This morning I stopped to get an egg and cheese sandwich. Ate it on my way to work. About an hour later I started feeling nauseous, my stomach got hard and I started having chills. Then about hour 2, I started to feel pain in my stomach and then my body turned achy and I became weak. I vomited a few minutes later at work and had to lay on the floor because I was too weak. After vomiting 3 more times, all it came out was the egg and cheese sandwich, I had not eaten anything for 14 hours, I decided to call Panera to let them know that they should check the cheese because of what happened to me. The woman on the floor told me that it could not have been them because if it was a lot of people would have gotten sick as well. Surprised with her lack of empathy, I told her that it was possible that people may associate vomiting to something else, I happened to not have eaten for multiple hours (intermittent fasting) she argued with me even though she said she didn't want to argue, she cut me off saying she understood what I said. I told her that I knew she understood me, we were both speaking English, but I was expecting empathy not just a dismissal of what I had gone through. I called out her attitude toward a well intended complaint and she became extremely defensive, I asked to talk to a manager and she said she was the manager. I asked to talk to someone else and she put me on hold for a few seconds and then hanged on me. I called twice again and no one picked up. I know a lot of young people work there, I've seen attitudes but this lady took it to a different level. Do better. I visit this restaurant often for years, this was new and very disappointing. Just had the most pitiful experience at this Panera bread. Ordered our food went to go sit down, checking out the counter to see if our food was done then multiple workers called my girlfriend and I fat and bitches multiple times. We got our things and wanted to leave and get our money back. The manager was useless rude. If zero stars was an option that's what this store deserves. Don't ever come here. read more

Food was good and I enjoy doing my studying there. All the employees are good except for one who looks pissed all the time and is rude (tall and brown hair). I asked her a question and her customer service was terrible and so was that attitude. I work customer service and I still don't treat customers like crap. read more

Not a good experience. Whoever was making the food was failing. Had a half of bacon Turkey bravo and it had no special sauce, only regular Mayo. Really took away from the sandwich. Also the strawberry poppyseed salads all came w like one piece of chicken. All 4 of them. Had to go back up and show them and both employees basically looked at each other confused. Good place to study and meet up with friends/family. Food was okay. Definitely had better panera than this before. I had Chicken and wild rice soup (which is my favorite) and it was very runny and watery. I also found a legit frozen piece of chicken in my salad. Kai made our dinner extra special - he was so friendly, complimentary, and welcoming. We hadn't been to Panera in ages, and while our food was very tasty and filling, Kai added that extra personal touch. He even made sure that a pot of decaf was available (upon my request)! I've been a loyal customer for years, but today has been a total disaster. I did an online order for bread, yogurt and a pick two. My order arrived timely; however didn't include the yogurt. I called the number to report a problem that was on my emailed receipt (and on their page) and it was a fast busy for over an hour and I called from two different phones. I called again and it just rang and rang and rang. Then, I called their customer service number and was on hold for 25 minutes and the call disconnected. I tried to reach Panera via their website but there is no option to get in touch with them other than the prefílled q&a's that don't address real time issues. I went to Twitter and got a response within 5 minutes, BUT they gave me 2 $3 credits to use within 30 days. That doesn't even cover what I paid for the yogurt with tax, tip and delivery and now the last hour and a half of my time to get someone to actually listen. This isn't the first time this has happened either. It's happened with pick up orders (missing modifications that i've paid for), missing items, food looking thrown together and poor quality. So now since no one will answer the phone at the store ... now everyone can see their terrible customer service. read more

Unless you're only eating dessert, don't eat here. The desserts are a 7.5 but everything else is a fail. I ordered a grilled cheese with no bacon. It came with bacon. They redid it and brought it back 20 minutes later .... pretty sure it was the exact same sandwich with the bacon picked off. It was cold and hard and tasted like bacon. read more

Let me start off by saying I love Panera, never have had bad service. However this visit exceeded my expectations! When I placed my order I was a little distracted, I'd admit... Anyways when my order was served I seen there was a sandwich instead of a salad (like I thought I ordered). So we looked at the receipt and sure enough I ordered the wrong thing :(. The young lady said no problem keep the sandwich and we will get your salad right out. Within 3 minutes here comes my salad! She could have easily said... I can't recommend this Panera. In fact, I avoid it. The first time I came was on my lunch break. We were allotted an hour. My supervisor and I arrived and tried to order on the kiosks. They didn't work. Okay, no problem. The line to order went fairly quickly. The wait for our food was absolutely unreal. We waited at least 40 minutes to get our food (two salads.) I know lunch is a busy time but 40+ minutes to get food seems excessive. A few days later I received a generic email from Panera stating they apologized for the wait time of my visit and asked for me to come back and give them a second chance. I gave them a second chance. My mom and I came after the lunch rush. Not that that apparently matters as the food still took far too long to get to us. I vowed to never return. Two stars only because the food is up to par with any other Panera. Visit this location if you don't mind waiting forever for your food. read more

I grew up in GR, so I remember when this place first opened! We were all so excited and I used to meet here on weekends with my friends and indulge in yummy baked goods while pretending to do homework. Since then, Panera has changed drastically, and I'm sorry to say, not for the better. Panera has lost its aesthetic almost entirely. Rather than displaying the baked goods nicely, they're all stacked up in plastic bags and bins. Not the most appealing look. Even the bagels are in their plastic storage bags which is really unattractive. This place has gone from a hang out spot to a place that seems overwhelmed by delivery and take out orders. The countertops are messy and filled with take out containers. The staff seems unorganized and flustered today as I wait for my soup and half sandwich to arrive. The food is still pretty decent, they change up the menu a lot and I enjoy the Butternut Squash Soup and I also really like their Asiago Bagel. When eating in, there's more people alone on their computers- using the space as an office. There used to be more of a group hang out vibe. I'm disappointed with the interior, the look of the food and the hodgepodge of delivery and take out disorganization at the scene. I still like Panera but I will lean towards just ordering ahead and eating in a more relaxed environment in the future. read more

This review is based on many visits and not just today. Why many visits? There's not many choices for "fast casual" at Knapp Corner and people always want to go here for meetings. First, this restaurant is always dirty. This morning when we picked up breakfast (received a gift card) and did Rapid PickUp, it was apparent the rugs weren't vacuumed from the previous day and they were filthy. The window sills look gross; they have a large round table by a huge window and I've seen dead bugs and cobwebs and so many crumbs. Trash is usually filled and the tables dirty, even after the lunch rush (2pm-ish). Staff - they're okay. I've seen a team lead interrupting someone taking my order and getting them ruffled up about having to "talk to them in the back". I was there for a meeting and just ordered a bakery item and when I didn't tip, instead of getting me a fresh cookie she told me to grab one in a bag and was rude about it. The food - it's okay. I love their breakfast sandwiches but this morning we got takeout (again, gift card) and my teen opened her sandwich and there was a hair in the eggs that didn't belong - she literally unwrapped it. That's nasty. Anyway - their franchise owner or corporate needs to do some serious work on this location. I don't know why people put up with how gross it is and I dread having to always go there for meetings. read more

This location doesn't have a drive thru so I went to made a quick meijer run and placed a curbside pickup order, including soup in a bread bowl and a condiment on the side. everything was done correctly, and I really appreciated the packing. Soup was separate from Bread bowl, and so were the croutons! Big plus, everything was still warm when I ate it. From the time I clicked "I'm here" on the Panera app it took them like 3 minutes to bring me my curbside order. read more

I generally really like Panera but I would not recommend this location, for dine-in especially. When we got there, none of the available booths had been bussed. We had to clear the dishes of previous customers and wipe down the table ourselves just to have a place to sit. The employees rarely came around to clean the dining area. The bathrooms had clearly not been cleaned recently, and the restaurant was so noisy even when it was not busy. Their flavored lattes are way too sweet--I could not finish it despite having requested less than the normal amount of syrup. read more

Worst Panera location. If you are lucky for them to bagels after 7a, you only have a 50% chance of getting your order correct. Little to no quality control. Being a prior Panera employee and trainer in a different state and and avid Panera visitor, this location disappoints time and time again. The general manager is aware of the bagel problem as well, yet has neglected to change her habits in ordering. You can walk into this location any day of the week and see a bare bagel wall before breakfast is over. It's embarrassing for the company and frustrating for the customer. Corporate needs to do an extension evaluation of this location. read more

Easily the worst Panera I've ever been to. As I'm waiting for my food I hear in appropriate conversation by employees in the back. Then I receive my food and my steak sandwich is a mess. Picked up large order for breakfast, of bakers dozen bagels, and yogurt and sandwiches. The parfaits were tiny, as well as the sandwiches. They were definitely not worth the money. The bagels and cream cheese were fine. Usually have to wait and that was the case this time, which is ok. The workers were pleasant, as am I, but the quality and quantity was not there for the order. I love the Asiago Bagels with cream cheese, but it seems like I have to wait forever to get service. They had two lines going two different directions and one cashier. Today the wait to order was 20+ minutes, and then to wait for the food was 26 minutes. I will not go to this location again. Lousy experience last Sunday. Are they short staffed? Because they had 4 people working the food prep area yet I waited over 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches. To be fair, I was told by the cashier that the wait would be 15-20 minutes. . . but it was beyond 30. There were not that many people ahead of me in line. Two couples got their food quickly b/c they only had soup. My guess is I got stuck behind the on-line order line. Panera really needs to revamp this process!! People who take the time to come in to the restaurant should be given top priority over on-line orders. AND the restaurant was filthy! Dishes piled high by the trash cans. Clearly, some re-ogranization is needed at this location. No way will I be going to this one again any time soon. It's your standard Panera, but it's always boiling hot, no matter what time of year or the weather. I used to come to this location to study, but now I go to either Cascade or 28th st. This Panera location is the worst. Customer service needs serious improvement. I walked in early today and no one else was in line. I had to say hello first and the woman working acted like she didn't want to be there. I ordered a couple things, all mediocre, and a hazelnut coffee. At any other Panera location the hazelnut coffee is amazing but the past couple times I've been here it hasn't tasted like hazelnut. This morning was the worst it's ever been. I don't know what's going on with the Panera Bread on East Beltline..they made my sandwich and put it out for a sample.. Then they said to me do you still need your sandwich..and picked it up from the sample wrapped it up put it in a bag and gave it to me..and forgot the rest of my order until I reminded them..the other customer waiting there beside me wanted something with avocado on it they went back to the back and found some old shriveled-up pieces to make her sandwich with this store is out of control right now . read more
