Wow! I could not believe the hospitality that I received upon walking in the door. For a mother of a 7 month old who was on the phone paying bills before we got here and left her wallet at home on the couch and had no idea until we ordered, then went to the car to look and no wallet. I said please cancel my order I don't have my bill fold, they said no problem it on us. Wait what? Yes they paid for my lunch. Couldn't believe it. The food was wonderful not because it was taken care of but because I know how it's prepared and how much love go into the hands that prepare it. Thank you so much Tyler, Tamara, and all the other employees that made my day. My sweet baby boy Nolan says Thank you too for his yummy avacodo. The world is is chaos be kind. read more

I reviewed this place a year ago with 4 stars. I don't typically like to review local businesses poorly, but this location has drastically declined and need to turn it around. We stopped by the drive through today and my husbands sandwich was way overtoasted, they didn't give him his lemonade (partially our fault), our bakery items were tossed in the bag, both upside down- not wrapped. No napkins, 3 sandwiches and bakery items, and my personal favorite- a hair in my sandwich. Lovely black and in the very middle, so halfway through with my meal I find this. read more

Hey, it's a Panera Bread. Food is good, service is reasonably quick, too. Only reason I can't give them four or five stars is because they routinely get the orders wrong. It's a relatively new Panera, and maybe they're still getting the hang of things. But my wife and I have learned to carefully check the food before we eat, because they'll invariably leave the onions on (which we hate) or something else. As another reviewer here pointed out, yeah, that can make take-out interesting. (Speaking from experience.) They seem to be getting better, though. Maybe the string of customers headed back to the pickup counter with botched orders has finally begun to sink in. :) Also: hey, guys? I know you're pushing the Panera cards, but ... hey. Lighten up on that. On one of our visits, the checkout girl was really, really aggressive about it. She didn't want to take "no" for an answer. I finally had to get rude with her to make her stop. But all in all, good food, good service. It's a Panera bread, and I'm glad to see one in Gardendale. read more

8:30 Sat night very few customers. They were out of the bread or crackers that go with soup. I had the chicken alfredo which was bland with little sauce. They really need to get it together. Im not likely to return. read more

If you like quality food on the go or to eat inside with a nice atmosphere this is the place to go. It is one of my favorite places to eat breakfast, as they have free WiFi & they're very clean. read more

I am so happy to have a Panera in Gardendale now! I have been very pleased with the food and the service. Absolutely LOVE the drive-thru option!!! read more

It's okay. Hey it's bread, salads and soups. Is that really all that exciting or is it just a place to be seen? Your money, your choice

I like their food a lot. My low star rating is for NEVER, EVER getting my order right. Not once in 2 years. If I say NO MAYO then when I get home and find it slathered on both sides I get a tad angry. Even when dining in it's as if they ignore that part of my order but at least I can send it back, not so when it's drive thru. The sweet buns with pecans on top are delicious, the soups are as well. I just wish I could get a sandwich made like I want. read more

Always have great service and kind employees. Never had a problem with any of my orders! So glad to have a place like this in my hometown.

Should have read the previous reviews. Got here, saw 3 worker, including a manager, look directly at us. Not one said a single word. Waited over 10 minutes. Another worker walked towards us like she was going to help us, but nope, not a word, nothing. Finally I had to ask if anyone was going to help us. And still not a single person acknowledged us. Just walked to register and waited until we said what we wanted. And I had to repeat a very simple order 3 times. I hate rating a restaurant, but this was ridiculous. Poor customer service. read more

Horrendously slow. All the staff seemed confused and weren't working as a team and then to top it off, our order arrived and was incorrect. If you are passing through, be sure to pass up this place. read more

Stopped in for breakfast, got a cinnamon crunch bagel with cream cheese toasted. Delicious and soft, only complaint is the edges were burnt. Also really appreciate the free wifi and friendly employees! read more

Love it except the time restrictions on wifi, used to do my homework every week in there along with buy a meal. Haven't been back in a few months to study now I just take my business to Starbucks. read more

I get to-go often.. the food is really good, but the price for the portions is a bit ridiculous. The Caesar salad and frontega chicken panini is my go to. I also love the iced cookies and the green smoothie. read more

I ordered on-line and did the quick pick up. My salad was mostly the white hard stalks from the lettuce, I paid $1 to add avocado, when I opened my salad it had one slice of avocado. There were two wedges of a spongy tomato and a small sprinkle of feta. I am very disappointed and feel like I just got ripped off by Panera for such a crappy salad. read more

I love this place! The people there are so friendly, they are willing to bend over backwards to make your order to your request. The bread is very fresh as the other food items. Its NEVER messy & even when they are busy they have people cleaning nonstop. You never have to wait long even in the drive thru. read more

Everyone's been to a Panera but excellent staff: very informative and upbeat! And great food!

Staff that took my order was rude, after each item I ordered she would ask " does that complete your order" She was rushing me and I was the only one in the drive thru ! Waited and waited , 6 cars behind me,when I received my order it was wrong. Had to wait again for my order to be right .did not get the cheese or crutons for my soup, my order was over $40.00, I only saw teens working, ( or standing around ) will not go to drive thru window again, this was NOT the first time read more

Terrible. I put in an order for rapid pickup, but when I arrived my order wasn't ready. They told me "we were going to call you, we don't have some of the bagels you wanted". Really? So why didn't you call before I came to pickup. I had to wait there to pick out different bagels to supplement the ones that weren't available, but they had no other sweet bagels available! Seriously? So I picked some others and left. I got to my destination and realized they didn't even give me the correct number of bagels, and they weren't toasted as I had requested. I was so annoyed and rushed because I had to wait longer for my order that I didn't check to make sure the order was full. I went back to get the rest of my bagels and they still did not have any other sweet bagels made. They also made no effort to apologize, or make up for their mistakes and lack of inventory. This was before the morning rush so there was no excuse for them to be out of bagels already. I put in my order the night before online. Wouldn't recommend this location. read more
