Bacon Avocado Melt + Creamy Tomato Soup

I love this place. Despite being crowded, the staff is nice, and the food is great. The avocado sandwich paired perfectly with the creamy tomato soup, is one of my favorites!

I decided to join the Unlimited Sip Club since Panera Bread has this promotion going on for the next 7 days with free drinks through July 4th. The Unlimited Sip Club lets you get a free drink every two hours with unlimited refills during the visit that you're there. I believe the price of the subscription is normally about $11 a month, which is honestly a great deal if someone is in the area of a Panera bread and looking to frequently visit. Considering their drinks tend to cost in the $3 - $4 range per cup, this monthly subscription price is a great deal. Today I decided to try the Mango Citrus Charged Lemonade. This is a highly caffeinated lemonade drink with coffee extract and guarana. After taking a few sticks, I could immediately tell this is an incredibly caffeinated beverage. I looked up the stats online, and the large cup has over 350 mg of caffeine in a cup. This is about 2-3x as strong as the average cup of coffee, or potentially 5-10x as strong as a cup of tea. For someone looking to pull an all nighter, or needing a bolt of caffeine in the morning, I'd definitely recommend this drink. I've tried it a couple of times now, and it is a great drink that really amps you up. I think I'm going to be switching back to my normal cup of coffee on most days since I love the flavor of coffee. Overall, very solid option!

    Mediterranean Bowl

Update: Panera has recently updated its menu, so this item was in fact sold as it was advertised. I'm still disappointed that corporate has changed this recipe, but it is not this location's fault. I have ordered the Mediterranean Bowl at every Panera I have gone to, and every time it comes with emerald greens (basically baby arugula) and grape tomatoes, as it is advertised. I ordered the bowl for pickup and received many substitutions that I neither asked for nor was informed of. There is iceberg lettuce and spring mix instead of the emerald greens, and large slices of tomato. I dislike iceberg lettuce, and would not have ordered this if I had known they would do this. It is their responsibility to inform the customer of any substitutions at the time of pickup and give them the opportunity to order something else before they made it. I don't know if one of their chefs is lazy or they ran out of those ingredients, but neither ur is an excuse. The appropriate thing to do is mark the item as unavailable on the app. Also, this Panera has never been very clean. Lots of residue on the floors and tables. This warm bowl, which is now essentially a salad with wilted lettuce, is mediocre at best and I'm very disappointed. Not worth the price I paid for it.

this location has so much seating. its honestly huge. we came on a saturday morning and it seemed busy but we didnt wait to place our order and we found seating right away. the food took like 10-15 mins for a bagel and a breakfast sandwich. there are already water cups by the drink station which is convenient.

An underfilled, overpriced to go order.

They charge $5 for a half-filled container of soggy Mac and cheese. The price is okay for a full container of well-prepared food. A half-full container of overcooked noodles - for $5!! - is extremely irritating.

The thing I enjoy most about this company is the consistency it keeps with its franchisees. The company as a whole does very well to reward its members through their membership program. Free food items is becoming a norm for places like these, what is not the norm is that they have the occasional week to two weeks of free items (bagels, coffee) for members. This appreciation for customers is a great retention tactic, but also creates the incentive to want to enroll in their membership program. As someone who has been a member for a year, Panera has made me want to return because of its visitation perks. Food quality is quite good, their soups are unbeatable compared to other competitors. Broccoli and Cheddar soup is to die for with the complementary french bread. The pastries are quite nice as well. Nothing too spectacular, but a bit too much on the sweet side for my taste. A major recommendation is to order using the electronic kiosks. All the sandwiches give you the option to add extra toppings for no additional cost and allows for customization. My only downside to this review is Panera's pricing. It is catered toward a nicer cafe setting, but it disappoints sometimes when it comes to a singular sandwich for $11 with a side of chips. Overall, Panera is well established and worth a visit. This location is packed especially during dinner time due to students studying here. So avoid long wait times by going after lunch and before dinner times.

So disappointing. Would be worth price as ingredients are fresh. I tried new green goddess melt. Mostly just bread. Lots of space between tomatoes and seems as if completely forgot the fresh mozzarella. It was a pathetic sandwich. Shameful honestly

I am forever looking for new places to study in Gainesville. Panera bread turned out to be a not so great option. The noise level inside is average and can get too loud sometimes from the music and kitchen sounds. There is usually a good amount of people and chatter which also contributes to the noise. There are very few outlets in the dining area. The few available are usually taken by another customer. My main complaint is the wifi. It is very spotty. I could not manage to connect to it during my visit no matter what I did. Not a great study spot. However, Panera is a restaurant before a study. This specific store is very clean and its employees are really friendly. The food comes out super fast. It's a great place to grab lunch and catch up with friends.

My husband and I shared the dumplings and both loved them. The texture was perfect and the flavor was really good. The portions overall felt like a great size and everything tasted freshly made. I ordered the pork fried rice and really enjoyed dipping it into the house made dumpling sauce, which honestly made the meal even better. Our waitress was very pleasant, and made sure we had what we needed. The vibe inside was very quiet, cozy, and romantic, making it a really nice spot for a relaxed date night. The restaurant was also extremely clean, which we always appreciate, and there was plenty of easy parking. We'll definitely be back once they add the ramen noodles to the menu!

That said, the vegetable fried rice and dumplings were both a 5 out of 5. The dumpling dipping sauce was honestly one of the best I have ever had and really stood out. The staff was very nice and pleasant. The space is on the smaller side, which was fine since we went during a slower time. We were not able to choose our table, which would have been nice, and while you are not right on top of other people, the tables are close enough that it can be hard to have a private conversation. There were a couple things that held it back. I was served a drink that was close to eight months expired. I did not make a big deal about it and still drank it, but that is something they definitely need to stay on top of. Also, the menu said Pepsi products but only Coke was available. With better inventory checks and a more updated menu, this place could easily be a five star spot. It is just not quite there yet.

The boa buns were soft, the pork was cooked perfectly, and the hoisin sauce at the bottom of the bun was amazing. There were vegetables on top, including cucumbers that tasted sweet and carrots. The vegetables were fresh and tasted great with everything else. We also ordered the crab Rangoon which I personally really liked. I don't like fish, and this crab Rangoon must have had a large amount of cream cheese base. I personally really enjoyed it since the crab wasn't very prominent. The filling was creamy, the Rangoon was crunchy, and the sweet and spicy sauce it came with made a perfect combo. For our meal, we ordered the chicken pad Thai. Unfortunately, it didn't really meet our expectations. The pad Thai was sitting on top of a sauce at the bottom, which tasted like a hoisin sauce base. The taste was very minimal, which was disappointing. The noodles were soft, almost like they were overcooked. The chicken was cooked well and lightly seasoned (which worked perfectly for the pad Thai). The vegetables on top of the pad Thai were also very fresh and you could tell they were freshly cut. The lack of peanut/pad thai taste was the most disappointing part that unfortunately lost it for us. The service was good. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted and were able to select our own table. The inside is decently small, with around 8 tables.

Oh my god, I took a single bite and didn't speak to my friend for 15 minutes as I continued munching it down. It was amazing. The vermicelli comes underneath this mound of pork holy grail, and while I'm used to having my vermicelli with these bowls cold and a bit thinner, and there being significantly more noodles than meat ratio, I'm thrilled to say that not this bowl - this bowl was 60% pork, 30% noodle, and 10% veggie. I'm taking every bite with 2-3 pieces of pork. I'm soaking up the juices with the noodles. I'm crunching on a few cucumbers to balance it out. I'm savoring every piece. Absolutely wonderful. I'm so excited to go back and try every one of their dishes. The restaurant itself is small, located inside of a shared mini-food court place with a pasta-to-go restaurant and a boba tea shop, and has a really cute sitting area. Baby, who hurt you? Because you are SALTY!!…read more Food was decent, authentic menu, plenty of options, but way too much salt, in both the soup and meal I ordered. Also, bless their heart for being a family owned restaurant, but the cleanliness and service here needs more help. Based on the reviews, we thought it was going to be a nice meal. Walking in my father-in-law said are you sure we should eat here. I said the reviews are great. I'm sure it will be fine. Let's just take everything in with a grain of salt. My father-in-law ordered pad Thai, which he typically loves. However, it was not very good at all. Actually, he said it was the worst pad Thai he had ever had. My daughter ordered the pineapple fried rice. She said it was not very flavorful and quite greasy. I had the green curry, which was decent, I did like the fact that it had less coconut milk than other establishments that I've sent you before. It is one of my favorites so I feel like it's something that I can't speak upon. I did have a good amount of vegetables and I love the fact that they use lotus roots. And eggplant. However, it wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst so I feel like that one was a good effort. Onto cleanliness. I really feel like they have a lot of room for improvement here. Even if most of your business businesses carry out, which I imagine it is, you still need to have a knee and clean environment for people to feel comfortable. And I believe that that's where my father-in-law's trepidation came to play. I can't say it was overly dirty, but you can tell that it was worn out. And I saw a lot of carryout business happening. That means that you still have a pretty decent cash flow coming in. My suggestion, as a restaurant consultant, is to use your days off to do a gut of all things unnecessary, do a deep clean and or replace things that obviously need replacing. And there's quite a bit that needs replacing. I'm talking tables, chairs, Flooring, paint the walls, etc. Also dollar store cutlery honestly is never OK when you're charging the prices that you are.
