I came here because I was craving chicken noodle soup. It tastes great but the presentation is aesthetic but not practical. My soup was in a bread bowl!!! The point of soup is to slurp as much of the liquid as possible. But I couldn't because the bread was soaking up the soup and my soup was being mixed with soggy bread - I hate soggy bread. I really think Panera should change back to the bowls for soup . Cos I would imagine I'm not the only one who hates soggy bread + the waste of the bread bowl too . The gist: fairly expensive food for small portions- not the best customer service but fresh food. I've been to Panera a load of times, this location being many of the visits. I will preempt by saying today's visit was one of the best! I ordered the fontega chicken panini and broccoli cheddar soup (1/2-1/2 combo) which rang up to just over $9. The food was fresh and came out hot but also took over 20 minutes to be ready which I didn't understand as Panera goes under the banner "fast food." Overall, I will say Panera has delicious and fresh food. My favorite thing about Panera is the variety of options they have to offer as a cafe. What I don't appreciate is the lack of customer service, the long wait, and the sheer cost of the typically tiny meal they provide. Seems like Panera is becoming more and more like a franchise that focuses on money over food by the day. Overall, Panera is an average place. But I'd say to go to local cafes instead if you're in the area! More bang for your buck and the local cafe scene is pretty great in Duluth! read more

Around this area, there aren't a lot of easy lunch spots. So when this Panera opened, it was like a little ray of sunshine had opened up on Sugarloaf and all of us cubicle drones came running. If you come here during weekday lunch, expect for there to be a line. In fact, last Wednesday the line was *almost* out the door. But they move the line quickly, and the employees taking my order are cheerful to boot. Although there's quite a bit of seating in this location, every table is going to be full during lunch hours. So come early, come late, or do what I do: get your order to-go. They have a small bench for those waiting for their to-go orders, and it's always been fairly quick. Outside of being everything that Panera is -- generally good food, albeit a little over priced-- it's just too busy for me at lunchtime. read more

I ordered a half salad and soup with online ordering. It was easy to order and customize. I found the service quick, efficient and accurate. I would stop by again. The salad was simple. I will I could give less than 1 star !!! I ordered lunch on the 21st for 9 of my team members, $150, for delivery on the 22nd by noon. At noon the only items delivered where the soups and baja bowl. There were missing sandwiches (pick 2) and salads. I called at 12:07 to inquire where the rest of my order was, I was told by the Panera associate that he had to talk with his manager. He came back to the phone and told me his manager would call me. I did not hear anything for over 30 minutes so I called, 12:39,12:45,12:58,1:23, finally got an 'associate' manager at 1:29. Who persisted on telling me that she put the order together her self, which at this point I didn't care because my team did not get half their orders. The 'associate' manager was instructed that we would like to have the order delivered. The 'associate' manager said she 'would personally' deliver the order. I asked how long before the order would be delivered, she said 20 minutes. The 2nd part of our order was delivered at 2:30, by door dash and not the 'associate' manager. Awful service from the top down !!! The order that was delivered at 2:30 contained items that were prepped at 10:30/11:00 am that morning. So were these items sitting in someone's car for 3+ hours? Went against reviews and tried anyways. Definitely not worth it. Ordered off the kiosk and was charged a $1.30 per bagel for cream cheese and was given little packets to apply ourselves. I've been eating here for years. The food is great! I can always count on the broccoli cheddar bread bowl and Caesar salad with extra dressing. And don't forget to grab a pastry! My fav is the cinnamon crunch toasted and sliced with a little bit of butter melted on top. This makes for a great study snack. If you're in college or are looking for a comfortable place to study for the afternoon, I recommend coming a little after lunch and before the dinner hustle. Who doesn't like unlimited coffee?! Anyways, these are the only times there are seats available. Besides the limited seating in this location, I am giving 4 stars because during peak times the wait time is outrageous. The most terrible service I have ever received. DO NOT ORDER CURBSIDE FROM THIS PLACE! I ordered from here on many occasions and never once did I get curbside service like promised. Imagine heading to work and ordering ahead just to come and sit in your car for 20+ minutes and having to go in just to find out the order was never ready and "the system was down". Now you're late for work and started off your day super upset. How can the system be down when the coffee I ordered been sitting there getting cold in the window but the other part of your order was never made? So you only saw half my order? Known for their fresh baked baguettes and bread bowl soups, Panera does have something for just about everyone at a decent price. Free wifi is also a trademark. Plenty of parking as well. I found a quiet table to do some work and my seating area was relatively quiet, but there were lively seating areas with kids, families and friends. Worst service ever!! I ordered no cheese on my Sandwich, and it came with cheese pressed in hot presser so the cheese was melted. When I brought it back to kitchen and tell them I ordered no cheese. She was acting rude and switched the top bread, which has melted cheese, to new bread. There are still some cheese left in my sandwich, so ask to change it. she was almost throw the dish with attitude. Finally when I got back my sandwich the bottom bread was burned out. Most of my reviews have a bit of wit, humor or sarcasm in them. Not this one. I'm just gonna tell it like it is. This location CONSISTENTLY makes mistakes. As I go here on my way to work, I cannot just "turn around" when they screw up. The first time I didn't receive my breakfast sandwich. The second time I got the wrong get sandwich. The first time I was refunded at least which I appreciate; the incorrect sandwich order was basically a "too bad, so sad" approach. I cannot understand why this place does not have a 5star review. Panera always has the best customer service. I know because I'm a regular but this Panera is super clean, super friendly, and super comfortable. Already liked the location and setting so was going to give a 5-star before I accidentally ordered something else than I had intended. I just asked an employee if this was the right order. They showed me the receipt and I accepted that it was a mistake on my part and went back to my table. The employee not only made me the sandwich I wanted, but brought it over to me for no charge. I placed a catering order for a breakfast meeting. The food was to be delivered between 7:30 - 7:45. At 7:45 I called because the food was still not here. The Catering Manager told me the driver was on her way. At 8:00 I called again because the food still wasn't here. The Manager did not offer any solutions. When the driver finally arrived, I told her she was 40 minutes late and her immediate response was "it's not my fault".
