This Panera franchise is very clean, modern, bright, and inviting. The workers were all very professional, courteous, helpful, friendly, and efficient. I had the spicy steak Asiago stack along with the Asiago croissant twists and a kitchen sink cookie. I was quite pleasantly surprised by the level of spice on the spicy steak Asiago stack, and it played so well with the arugula and the salsa verde spread and was a yummy and filling sandwich. By the time I got there they had run out of Asiago bagels, but even with their Everything bagels it was delectable. The Asiago croissant twists were light and tasty, and the ONLY problem with the kitchen sink cookie was how widely it disappeared - it was big, decadent, and truly addicting. Hmmm I don't usually follow reviews for chain spots. It's difficult to isolate what is unique to the franchise versus the specific location. For this Panera, I decided people deserve to know the difficulties they may face getting lunch. AVAILABILITY: The biggest issue at this location during my visit was the customization. They seemed to be out of bread... at a sandwich shop? All meals usually come with a baguette on the side, but they were out of that among a number of other salad toppings, including one of the greens. It meant that only a few menu items were actually available for order through the tablet upon entrance to the store. Now, upon visiting the counter, they seemed to have found a piece of baguette to accompany my meal, but there was some confusion in checking that there was indeed bread. SERVICE: Don't get me wrong, the people behind the counter were by no means rude. They just seemed to lack knowledge and a noticeable/approachable presence for customers entering. It seemed there wasn't great communication between the person behind the counter, the people in the kitchen, and the technology system intended to assist with orders. FOOD: This is the part of franchise reviews I usually don't find necessary - the quality control comes from higher up, so the idea is that once you've visited one, you've visited most. Well, this Panera is either a poor representation of the franchise, or Panera has really declined from its very straightforward branding of soup, salad, and sandwich lunch options. My sandwich had minimal veggies in it, so it was essentially a piece of not-fresh bread cut in half. The greens in the salad did not seem fresh. Nothing looked or really tasted edible, so I'd rather come here for a break from the heat and just stay hungry. Drinks in the fountain seemed to work just fine, which is helpful if you have the Panera drink subscription. I suppose I should have taken the hint when I noticed it was pretty empty indoors during peak lunch hours. I hope the best for this business, but I also hope the best for shoppers in the area. Walked in and used the self serve kiosk to order my food to go, and the process is as simple as ever. It only took 6 minutes to have my order called which was great. Ordered food for $118. Spoke with the manager working on 4/10 at 11:50 am. My order was given without any labeling of what the sandwich was and they forgot all of the chips for the order. The manager was rude and VERY unhelpful and said You can pick up the chips, or I can refund you; that is our solution. I called back, and an associate answered and said the associate manager was outside getting herself together because she knew she was very unprofessional. Umm... I don't even know where to start with this. I'm not expecting artwork when I order a sandwich but for it to not look like it got sat on would be nice. I've loved Panera for years and this is my go to location. I will say recently the customer service is lacking at this location. Wait times have been long recently, which I assume is due to staffing shortages. Due to such, if you know what you want order ahead for pick up via the app or website. I placed an order from this location through UberEats and although there were issues with my delivery I won't hold that against Panera. However, the salad which I ordered was extremely disappointing. I ordered the Green Goddess salad, which I normally get, that is supposed to comes with avocado as an ingredient. For the amount I received it was more like a garnish. There was maybe around 1 tablespoon of avocado in my salad if that. Half of the greens were wilted and the grape tomatoes tasted old, not fresh at all. They also did not include my side of baguette. I tend to pick Panera Bread over other establishments because of the quality they put into their food. The WORST service I have ever experienced at a Panera all over the country. I placed my order and went to the waiting area, looking at the status screen. I hear people's names called as soon as their names are moved to the "Ready" section. Then my name got moved to the "Ready" section then disappeared without anyone calling my name to pick up the food. At this point I've gone up to the counter, thinking they're finalizing the order, only to see three people behind me come pick up their orders. (I've already waited 10+ min for 2 bagels and a latte.. others ordered much complicated menu items.) Already upset, I asked for my order and all three of the servers up there were confused and had no idea what was going on with my order. Even though it's been 10+ min, no one even started on my order. Without one single apology, one girl went to pick up a bagel from a pile that was sitting out in the kitchen for at least 5 min from what I saw (could've been even longer) and put it in a bag. Then she handed me a latte with whip cream which I didn't even ask for. Again, no apologies. I was pissed and asked what took so long. He didn't even bother answering and just kept repeating "they're making your order right now so what's the issue?" After asking 5 times the same question about what took so long this guy gave some bullshit response saying "It looks like yours was placed in the kiosk. We take orders from three different places. You need to understand that we go by the order it's been placed." Please help me understand why the names behind me get their orders and mine wasn't even started. If my name was first, then that means I've made the order before others and my order should've come up to the system before others'. I've complained to Panera and they think just a 5 dollar reward with no apologies will suffice.... what a horrendous customer service. read more

I stopped here to get breakfast before heading to work. I've been here a couple times before so I knew I wanted to get one of the sandwiches. I got the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Sandwich, and when I tell you that sandwich hit the spot. I was a bit confused when picking up the food since I ordered it from the mobile app. I thought the food would be placed on the take out orders shelf, but there was a shelf closer to the entrance that it was on. Panera was calling my name when I (to quote the band Disturbed) "got down with the sickness" recently. Major craving for soup and a grilled cheese. This location sits off Sugarloaf Pkwy, close to Meadow Church Rd and in the same plaza as the Kroger and Lucianos. There is ample outdoor seating but indoors can be a bit tight. There is no need to worry about finding a parking spot at this location. Everybody is pretty familiar with their selection of goods: pastries, cookies, sandwiches, soups, salads, smoothies, coffee ... great for lunch and breakfast. Pricing can get above $10/person, depending on what you order. Everything is made fresh to order, so that is a plus. I've always loved their Pick 2 combo: 1/2 sandwich, 1/2 Soup and 1/2 Salad tp chose from. This is pretty much their staple deal and a good reason to check them out to keep the cost low. I ordered a full grilled cheese on this trip and a cup of their creamy tomato bisque soup. The lady also talked me into doing a $.99 pastry add-on (this was a special they do for every entree you order). Typically, you pay around $2.5+ for most of their pastries. I ordered the cinnamon crumb cake slice with this special. The food came out fast, so fast I could barely finishing filling up my drink. The soup comes with a small sourdough bread roll for dipping and my sandwich came with a bag of chips. The soup was really good and hot, perfect for my sore throat. I loved the extra bread they put in with the soup. The grilled cheese was very unimpressive. I was really disappointed by this, and felt i could make a better one at home. Maybe it was the lack of butter they put on the bread? The crumb cake was ok. It wasn't as moist as i thought it should be. This visit was just ok. Unhelpful manager and unhelpful cashier who advised me to request refund through the app but when I tried it wouldn't let me because they lied and uodated the order to ready when it wasn't, the cashier told me my order isn't even on their screen yet., 1 helpful kitchen employee who after hearing I had waited 25 mins AFTER the app notified me my order was ready. There was a line of other people waiting for their orders as well, after the kitchen employee helped me, the cashier turned away multiple people while explaining there was a 30+ min wait for their order. This location needs a new owner who can handle the staffing and training requirements a well-regarded restaurant needs to succeed. I've been to a lot of Panera's in a lot of states and this has been the worse experience I have ever had. To say this place is awful is an understatement. The cashier spent 10 minutes trying to ring up 2 bagels and 2 cookies. Couldn't figure out how to ring it up, remember what I'd asked for, etc. After 10 minutes of confusion from her I ended up placing the order on my phone through the app. The app said they were out of cookies so I had to go back to her to order them. She tells me the computer says they are out of stock and but the case has at least 8 cookies left. After clarifying with another employee (that claims she's the one that marked them out of stock for what reason I'm not sure), she finally sells me two cookies. I then go to wait on my strawberry smoothie and bagels. I hear a cook saying that he can't locate the strawberry purée so I walk up and tell him that if it's fit my order that I'm in a hurry and to use mango. Well, this smoothie was far from smooth. It had full ice cubes in it and the remainder I had to chew through. Lastly, the bagels. The employee didn't know how to use the bagel cutter and didn't even bother to toast them for me (as I requested). He then keep asking me what cream cheese and how many I ordered despite my order being on the computer screen. I asked the manager if these people were new and he said yes. That the entire staff their, excluding himself, had just been hired. This is unfortunate but the manager still did nothing to rectify the poor service I and the other customers were receiving. Normally we love Panera. However, recently they have made changes that have effected the quality of their products. The bagels used to have generous amounts of topping, Asiago cheese, cinnamon crunch etc. Now they are quite skimpy. But the worst change of all has to be the cream cheese. It used to be this fluffy, delicious whipped cream cheese. I was so happy when they finally got a chive and onion flavor! Then they did away with the hazelnut flavor! That was a huge mistake! Then they hanged their cream cheese all together - it's no longer whipped, which makes it harder to spread. In all fairness, up until now, my comments could be directed to ALL Panera cafes.
