We have previously had good service and food from this Panera, but the last 3-4 curbside orders have been messed up. Really dissatisfied with the current service at this location right now. -2 separate orders where tortilla soup had no tortilla strips (so it's just chicken soup) -1 order where ingredients were missing from salad and sandwich, and didn't get the correct sandwich bread, and we got chips instead of baguettes. Getting wheat bread instead of tomato basil makes a big difference on a Mediterranean veg sandwich that is also missing the hummus and half the veg it normally has. -1 order today where both tomato and French onion soup were missing the toppings (croutons, cheese) and no baguettes so we had to drive back to the store to get them. This is the most frustrating part, because when whole items are missing, you spend 20 minutes in the car to go back and get them and then your other food is cold, and you don't get any credit or free pastry or anything for your trouble. read more

As far as Panera goes, I'm usually not dissapointed- they have fairly healthy food for a chain which is great while i'm traveling. The service was good and the food was ok. I have ordered online for delivery several times from Panera on Elmore in Davenport. Once the order did not have the fruit cup which I had ordered. (It is $1.99 extra.) When I asked about it, the delivery person went back to the cafe on Elmore and returned with it. Last time I ordered a turkey bacon avocado sandwich which arrived with no avocado. I called the cafe, and I was offered another sandwich which I didn't take. This time, there was no pickle with the whole sandwich and no dressing with the whole salad. I tried to call the manager, but I didn't get any response. I now check to see if I got the ordered items, but I don't open up everything. I guess that I will need to do that if I order again. wow! this place sucks! i ordered a turkey and avocado blt and new england clam chowder. The cold sandwich came with no avocado, one pathetic slice of bacon, wilted lettuce and the tomato slice was just the top of the vegetable(basically all skin). The soup was lukewarm and the clams had fucking sand in them, not just one bite, the whole damn thing was sandy. my girlfriend's dry salad and soggy sandwich sprang to life and whispered in creepy unison,"the panera in illinois is better". Used this location to cater a lunch for 35 ($427) and was extremely disappointed! They only delivered half of the food and when I called to let them know I was offered gift cards instead since they "were busy" now with lunch crowd!! If you cater almost daily, as I do I suggest GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! They sent me $15 in gift cards to make up for it... very laughable given the $400 I spent!! read more

(Update) Would consistently get orders wrong. After forgetting about $2 worth of sides I ended up calling the manager, who took down my address to send a coupon to my address for another purchase to compensate for lost value. We pinged them again, got a gift card, then came back a few months later, and it seems like they've improved--more accurate orders, improved quality. Then they went right back to going downhill, and even worse than before. Entire parts of an order that didn't even have any customization/substitutes were totally missing, and portions were low, even for them. We've tried to give them numerous chances because their food *can* be good when they get it right, but the past three tries have been wrong in more than one way. This is the Jay Cutler of quick-casual food: expensive, inconsistent, terrible ROI, sullen. Case in point, for one order: wrong bread for a sandwich, three leaves of greens only, no requested addition (spinach), dressing not on side, expired fruit cup, out of flatbreads (at 7pm? seriously?), not even "half" of a sandwich ordered. Another case in point: half of a salad's ingredients not even in the salad. We've given this place numerous chances, probably many more than it deserved to, but for the money you're dropping ($12 per head), it needs to be correct. Hell, at least at Subway you can watch them get a sandwich wrong and correct an issue as it happens, and it's half of the price. Most of the grievances really do have to do with poor management and partially with staff that seem to just want to get past the shift, and I can kind of understand why. I don't imagine they're paid enough to care, but moreover, their menu changes constantly. All of the items I had liked from before are now gone, anyway. The acute problems are local, but Panera, on the corporate end, continues to find ways to charge you more for less food. And the management seems to deliberately order their staff to under-portion, even less than what's advertised. I would strongly advise to just stop going to any of the locations on the Iowa side. I can't vouch for the Moline one, but I doubt I'll go to another Panera again after this. read more

I generally won't leave a negative review, but these folks worked hard for one! The place was slow, and so was the front wait staff. We ordered the Green Goddess Salad with chicken (not recommended if you actually wanted chicken with your salad). The kitchen staff were entirely too busy talking about spinal meningitis to have any interest in putting together our order in a timely fashion, or with any semblance of accuracy. The food can be a hit or miss, either really good or spectacularly bad. As for the bakery though, it is consistently bad. When you get a hit in the actual food category however, it is very good. The service leaves something to be desired. The employees are quite rude. Also, you will pay upwards or nine or ten dollars for a meal only to have to pick up and dispose of your own plate. After we paid and were waiting an employee came out and said there were no fruit cups but she would be happy to make one (the only reason I gave more than one star). About 5 minutes later another manager came out and said they couldn't make breakfast sandwiches after 11. It was 1110. We had to wait 15 minutes for actual service and all we got was our money back for the sandwich that the cashier let me order "after hours". I don't know what pixie dust the managers here are spreading, but the staff has been extremely efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly the last dozen times I've been in. Far more than their usual chipper self's, they are engaging and pleasant. The breakfast sandwiches, as well, have really improved with a nice little variety of styles and ingredients. The coffee center is more efficiently laid out and consistently refilled with fresh. Parking is this sites only real challenge, and that's not something that Panera can fix. read more

Panera is one of my favorite carb-lovin' places. They have great soups, salads, sandwiches, hazelnut coffee, hot chocolate, and sugary treats. This location is very small, so when it gets busy there aren't many places to sit or park. I also wish they had more espresso drink options.They are also a bit expensive, but I'm willing to pay when I come because the food is so good! They also have free wifi, which is nice!
