Honestly, each of these salads was enough for two. The Southwest salad was a tad skimpy on chicken and the side salad was a tad heavy on the croutons. Both salads had a variety of lettuces, cut up tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion. Our choices of low cal salad dressings were limited, so we went with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and we tried the raspberry vinaigrette. Lots of sugar in this one. Make sure you get your dressing on the side. With only two registers, the ordering process is rather slow. But the servers never rush and guide you through the process if you're unfamiliar with the menu. Our salads were delivered to our table promptly. But here's the real bonus, lunch came in around $22. Our server, Emily, was phenomenal! Cheerful. Helpful. Thoughtful. Attentive. Just excellent. We started with the bottomless salad. Improved since our previous visit. Crispy lettuce, tomato, red onion and croutons. Unfortunately, the plates were warm because they were just out of the dishwasher. It didn't stop us from getting a refill. For dinner, my wife ordered gluten free rigatoni with 5 cheese marinara. Very rich. A little too heavy to my taste, but she enjoyed it. And so filling she was a "one and done". I was pleasantly surprised there was no up charge for gluten free pasta. I chose Angel hair pasta with the new spicy meat sauce. And added extra meatballs. Simply delicious! The spice was just right. The sauce was thick. Not at all watery. Both our pastas were perfectly prepared. Not overcooked and mushy like so many "Italian" kitchens. And the meatballs? As good as any you've ever had. And the size of a baseball. I did order a refill. Thankfully, a slightly smaller portion than the original. And even the extra meatballs were included. I couldn't make a significant dent. No worries. Emily packed up our leftovers to take home with extra salad and breadsticks. As the portions were so generous, I asked Emily the record for reorders. She told me someone had 10 refills! Also, there appears to be a contest between the Olive Gardens. They actually encourage you to reorder so they can win the competition! Finally, we surrendered and waddled our way to the car, loosened our belts and drove home. There's no way we'll wait a year to revisit. OG has upped their game in a big way.

The staff were friendly, but the layout of the restaurant is a little wonky. Our original seat backed up to another group and they were wiggly! Every time they moved our seats moved - very weird. They do bring sweet rolls before dinner, so that's a nice surprise. We also ordered chocolate cake sundae to go and it held up until we got back to the hotel. Overall, not bad, but not really fried chicken in the way we trying to find. We shall venture across the bridge again tomorrow & try again!
