We came to study and eat a warm meal hoping to calm our stomachs for a long to do list. It's freezing cold outside and step into a lobby where the temperature difference isn't that significant. I sit, legs shivering it isn't much warmer in the lobby. I order my food, 2 for 2 soups chicken noodle and tomato which comes lukewarm. Also some how the chicken which has , I assumed been smothering in the soup is dry? I also get a pretty strong ketchup taste from the tomato soup. My go to order at Panera isn't seeming to great. I then get a free pastry form the app. This pastry comes to be cold. Chocolate is hard unmoving cold. My friend and I go up to politely ask for our pastries to be warmed. The nice blonde lady says that she can't take it back but she will replace with a warm one, I ask the same, and a larger man in the back says, no you can both take them and warm them up in the microwave. Taken aback I've never known of a fast food place to have a microwave. Okay, we warm it up in the microwave, and it honestly smells like fire? Soup not good, fire tasting pastry, and I go to refill my drink and notice the machine. I have worked with drink machines for 8years now. For it to get this bad, especially in a controlled indoor environment, several several days of neglecting cleaning or any maintenance would have had to take place (picture attached: Drink Machine: moldy ice chute inside and out, moldy back splash, drip tray, and drip pan; grimy drink covers... I can only imagine what the diffusers look like... please take notice! )And to think it's not hard to clean these machines, I doubt the spickets from the tea are any better. We left immediately after. No homework started, still freezing cold, unsatisfied. And our stomachs began hurting soon after. read more

Overall, I'm just disappointed in Panera Bread as a company. The two stars is for the COMPANY and NOT THIS LOCATION. Not taking into account price, I'd give this location 4-stars. My reasons: Their prices are way too high for the amount of food that is given. On this visit, I ordered a salad for my mom and a pick 2 for myself. That combined order cost over $30 and I didn't even get any drinks for us. I only got water. I really want to continue eating at Panera, but over the past few years, every time I go there, I get a little sticker shock and disappointment. This has been my worst Panera experience. We tried to order online, but the website was not letting us customize so we had to call. We ended up calling and did not get get the free delivery. Both our orders had sandwiches and neither was great. My mom's sandwichs did not taste fresh. As for mine, I ordered a turkey sandwich. They were out of red onions so I opted for picked red onions. There we not picked red onions on my sandwich. I specifically asked for no mayo, but keep the mustard. And the sandwich was COVERED in mayo. I had to scrape it off the turkey, I lost half the greens and a full piece of bread becausethere was no way to get all the mayo off of them. They had to be at least 2 tablespoons of mayo on the sandwich. It runined the entire meal. Overall the meal cost about $30 for two people and it was a complete waste of money for the experience. I'll just take off the basil an onion and add the fresh spinach. And on my yummy goodness I absolutely love the chocolate croissants now I have to watch my sugar ...so I figure with that dark chocolate and that puff pastry it's kind of a OK cheat. So, the only real reason I go to panera is for bagel Tuesday. There are no bagel places close to me and I drive 25 miles to pick them up .. it seems like a simple task of getting the bagels cut in half is a real tough task because I never get them fully cut .. why is this so tough ? This Panera use to be good. Now you're lucky to get a handful of salad with any salad you order. Not to mention, a lot of the time the lettuce just looks gross. They also love using just the end/crunch white pieces of the lettuce as opposed to the nice leafy green part. Anything to save money and stiff the customer. The drive thru is beyond slow. Ordered Chipotle Chicken wrap with scrambled eggs and avocado. Order did not have any avocado. This was after we waited in the parking lot for over 20 minutes and ended up going inside to get our order. Food was of course cold, after 30 minutes. I personally do not know what the big deal is about Panera, but the women in my family love it. You can order at the counter or at one of the computers set up at the entrance. Online orders are left on a shelf, which doesn't seem safe. Tends to be crowded. Tables are usually messy and dirty. So is the floor. You have to figure out how the drinks work. Coffee, tea, soda -- all self serve and confusing. The food is good, if not a little bland. They do have vegetarian and (currently) vegan offerings. They often run out of items, like soup. There was a group of us that joined in for dinner at Panera's on Sunday evening around 6:15-6:30pm. The group that ordered at 6:30pm were told by the rep-Jasmine that we had to have all our dishes in the bins by 7:00pm. They reminded her it states online they're opened till 8:00pm. Jasmine continues to make her statement that the dishes had to be in by 7:00pm. They ordered their food for dine in. My order was correct for dine in, but their food was packed to go as ordered by Jasmine. As the night went on we ate and finished before 7:00pm. But jasmine continues to walk around the dinning table making faces clearly upset that we were upset for being rushed. Here's the kicker.....As we were all outside saying our good byes Jasmine comes out and yells you MF'ers! for no apparent reason at all. We never had a discussion or conversation with her about the matter. So what in earth was that behavior representing? Jasmine needs a break or another job, the restaurant business is too tough for her. She not only gave us false information about being closed at 7pm and dishes in, but she continued her put her anger on us the customers! I had an awesome surprise today. I had an accident on Nov. 1, 2022. It has been difficult to walk since then. Last night a friend asked me what I would like to eat for today. I told her I really liked Panera's breakfast sandwiches, the artichoke quiche and muffins. About 10:30 this morning she texted that my breakfast was at my door. I was totally shocked when I opened the bag/box and EVERYTHING, I liked ... was there, plus she had added coffee. I told her I was only giving her ideas of my favorites. I thoroughly enjoyed my sandwich and saved the quiche for tonight. Soooo, I am about to go into my kitchen, slice (one of) the blueberry muffins in half, add butter and place in a frying pan to grill. I am a regular at the Clarksville store. My order is messed up every single time I go through drive thru. One time they forgot chicken on my salad with chicken. Today they screwed up 3 things on my small and uncomplicated order. First manager just said sorry. Second manager put the amount of what was messed up on my credit card. Lot of trouble and hassle for mediocre food at best . This is a location a frequent often. It's a great location to work. This is your typical Panera store. I've also hosted interviews here. Great location for interviews but choose your timing wisely. During lunch time this place is packed and not a great time to meet. I love the variety of options they offer here for breakfast, lunch, and bakery treats. Okay, first off you should know I really like this chain with better quality sandwiches and soups and usually good catering service including this location but on this visit they got never everything wrong. Worse still they lied to me. My first gripe the online ordering; I have both a catering account I use all the time for work and a personal account. The menus, service and timing are completely different depending on which section you log into. Log into the retail account and it's really difficult to order more than 1 of anything. So I needed sandwiches for 10 people but the site made me order one at a time going back again and again to get it to take each sandwich one at a time. Then you can only order drinks in cup size even though the same location will sell you half gallon sized drinks on the catering side. Once the order was placed and I had fooled around with the terribly unfriendly site (and I'm not a neophyte computer user so don't blame the operator). After it took my credit card it gave me a message that my order was too large! 10 sandwiches was too large? What do you care how many I want and why make me go through all the pages of entering personal info and check boxes only to tell me after that your not going to take my order? So I cancel and call the catering number and place my order that way, then at the end they guy says he can't deliver to the location because it's house (this is a corporate answering service not the actual store). I tell him I order all the time from the same location and they deliver smaller orders all the time twice as far away to my office but no luck, he's not going to do it. I canceled my catering order and called the store directly. Placed my non-catering order which they said would take two hours to make! Two hours, if this was Jimmy Johns all 10 would be don in 30 seconds. I had no special requirements just regular sandwiches off the menu. At this point we had a group of people we had promised to bring dinner to who were all hot and tired from moving my daughter into a her new house. So we call the store and ask the manager if they can speed things up, and while I'm on the phone anyway can you not add options to any of the sandwiches because some of the people are allergic? She says no, that all the sandwiches are already made (this is an 1.5 hours faster then they first said it would take) so we head off to pick up the order, 45 minutes past our destination because they suddenly don't deliver to that distance (again even though my office is twice as far away and harder to get to). Now to the store. Unbelievable bad service! I going inside and wait 15 minutes to get to the counter to request my order (because they would not hand it to me though the drive through window because I pre-paid). There was not a long line, in fact there were several women standing behind the counter doing nothing, not working just standing around (one was busy flirting with a customer so I guess she was busy). The one guy working the register seemed to have no idea what he was doing so it took forever to get to the front of the line. I asked if I could place an order for 2 half gallon lemon aids (that is the only size they offer on the catering site but won't let you order on the retail site). He says it only come in gallons, I disagree and say just ring me up for two of whatever you think you have. he says again they only come in gallon sizes but I can't order them because its not a catering order. Finally a girl standing around by the bread walks over and says sure he can, just hit this button on the register. She walks off and says are you sure you want two, two gallons is a lot, I said yes knowing what I was going to get was two half gallon containers so he messes with the register and now says "really its a gallon it says right here 64 ounces (the amount of a half gallon!). Again I have to say just ring it up. And yes they brought out two 64 ounce half gallon containers of lemon aid. Now to the pick up counter, remember they told me my sandwiches were already done on the phone and waiting for me on the counter. Lie! Even after driving 45 minute to get there, 15 minutes in line and 5-10 more messing around with the mathematician at the counter I finally make it to the pick up counter to learn they had not yet made my sandwiches at all! So I wait another 20 minutes for the food to be made and finally get to leave. I did not mention that we were baby sitting our two grand kids and they were out in the car this whole time with my wife waiting, now going crazy and both crying because you can't park for 45 minute after driving 45 minutes and have happy kids in the car. So we finally get the kids settled and head off to my daughters house and realize we picked up our sandwiches at just 5 minutes before the two hours the first guy said it would take to get the sandwiches, at least he was right! read more

This is the friendliest, cleanest and freshest Panera Bread that I've ever visited, and believe me I've eaten at a lot of them, I mean have you ever tried their chocolate chipper cookie? The staff always reminds me of my rewards and greets me with a smile and a friendly tone. They're clean and nice towards each other. These people really seem to enjoy their jobs. The produce, breads and pastries always taste fresh baked and the teas and coffees are newly brewed with cold cream and sliced lemons available. The tables are clean and the trash cans are rarely over flowing. I often order Panera online using Rapid Pickup. My order is always ready and waiting on the pickup shelf when I get there with no hiccups and I've never been missing a single item, not even a fork. I love this Panera Bread and in my experience its one of the best. read more

If you like your sandwiches, soups and bakery goods wrapped in an artisan-inspired and corporate-filtered environment with free wi-fi, then Panera is great! I'm not a huge fan of Panera, but the food always tastes good and I always feel like I'm eating healthier when I eat here. I'm sure someone can point out the calorie counts and nutritional information and prove I'm not, but save it. I already know cream cheese isn't healthy. There's usually plenty of seating and even a comfortable patio during the temparate months. The line to order moves at a good clip and you can get any bakery item for $.99 when you get lunch. The bagel packs are also a pretty good deal. The restaurant is always tidy, if it is set up a bit tightly near the drink station. I'm content with this location, though nothing has ever really seemed too spectacular to ignore. read more

Since Covid-19 and lockdown, we've made a regular habit of ordering curbside pickup from this Panera- it's a reasonable choice for fresh food quickly. However, they have a disturbing habit of failing to include items in our order and either making unacceptable substitutions or simply not including items and giving us neither a notification nor a refund. Recent examples include using the peach-mango-banana base in what's supposed to be a peach-blueberry smoothie (triggering allergy issues), then not only denying that they had done so but asserting that the two were identical; "forgetting" to include a cookie in last week's lunch order; sending an order out as complete even though the order check on the bag noted that the blueberry muffin was missing; and putting not just the wrong ingredients but entirely the wrong type of bowl (a Baja chicken instead of Mediterranean) in an order. This wouldn't be an enormous issue if we were eating at the restaurant and could rectify these omissions on the spot, but it's a 40-minute round trip from our house and we typically don't find these issues out until we get our order home. If we call to alert them, the response is "We'll give you a discount next time you come in." This Panera is in a unique situation - it's the only one in the Southern Indiana area, the next nearest being about 30 miles up I-65 or in downtown Louisville, which isn't an option for a workday lunch pickup. As a result, they seem to have decided that it's neither necessary nor important to get customers' orders right because there's no alternative. They seem to be forgetting that the alternative is to spend our money, and our time, going somewhere else. read more

Given the amount of teen workers, I would think mgmt would better staff the front main area with cashiers esp around five when lines build. Or play babysitter with staff that can't self manage? My cashier Renayah was wonderfully courteous despite the amount of workers who had no awareness of their impact on customers and the two other teen workers that were hanging out by the pastries discussing Game of Thrones vs helping or looking to help or alerting the manager that help was needed. This lends credence to less than stellar awareness of customer service in food service arenas. Pegasus this is why they have a Now Hiring sign though? Food.. I ordered Autumn Squash and Mac and cheese with bacon. Temperatures are inconsistent. The autumn squash soup was too hot whereas the mac and cheese with bacon was nearly lukewarm at the top of the bowl but too warm in the bottom.. Which makes me think it was not freshly bowled but made and left to sit.. Since I was served extremely fast. That's my best conclusion. This looks and tastes delish however, serving ware and tables are quite clean. The two most industrious workers appear to be the young man (Jordan?) and woman cleaning tables and delivering food. Normally this Panera Bread is pretty good. But the last two times I have had issues. The time before I got a to go order of 3 salads with no dressing. When I returned to get the dressings I was given cookies and an apology. This last time I had a rapid order to pick up at 11:10. I got there and they had not even pulled it up on the computer to fill. I had to wait 15 minutes and received little more than sorry for the wait.
