It seems this location is never fully stocked - out of almost all bagels on a Sunday afternoon? This never used to happen. Continue to be given wrong items in our order (wrong sides with lunch selections - has happened multiple times). I'll give the staff a little slack because I know they were understaffed, but there isn't any call for them to be rude - I was repeatedly interrupted by the girl taking my order earlier today. So glad to have a Panera on Beechmont, especially with a drive through! Only critique I have is that the interior is modern, not the usual cozy atmosphere of Panera's brand. While it does have a semi-cozy fireplace, I did miss the paintings of bread everywhere that gives this place its signature. I usually get here the autumn squash soup which never disappoints. I also tried the Mediterranean greens with grain salad, minus the chicken to make it vegetarian. It was good and filling, maybe a bit too spiced for me though. I have been going to this Panera since we moved over to Anderson about a year ago. Last night I had horrible service and horrible food and I'm not sure I will ever go back to this Panera! To start upon arrival to restaurant (over an hour before closing) the dining room worker was already mopping and had part of the restaurant closed off including an entry/exit. She was very rude when we went to order even though we said we were taking it to go. We then ordered and she yelled across the restaurant "I already mopped that area". The area of which was not blocked off and didn't have a wet floor sign. Then upon ordering and getting our food home (to be polite and not eat in restaurant) we found black hair in both my salad and my son's Mac and cheese. Not one hair but several in each of the items. I am sad to say this as I am a Panera lover especially with winter approaching but this woman and her rude service and the hair in the food really turned me off, especially as someone who worked in food service for many years. read more

All I wanted 2-you pick 2's- Very disappointing with the staff the manager on site was extremely rude and loud in explaining the menu. The rest of the team seemed to bicker back-and-forth in the kitchen. I asked a young lady at the table if she understood the menu, she said not really, she later put on an apron and worked the drive thru? When I went to retrieve my order, I asked about the baguette. My Mr. and I usually go to the Panera Bread in EastGate but we were in the area and wanted to try this location. Parking is to get in and out of. They have an outdoor patio and a drive thru. You walk in and it's super open! Definitely different from EastGate. Very bright and spacious. They have kiosk or you can order up front. It was 11:41 A.M. and they had their breakfast menu up. They were serving lunch but we had to ask. So we had to look on our phones to order. After we ate, we noticed they didn't change it. And it's already lunch time. I found that very odd. But anyways.... I got the Creamy tomato soap with grill cheese (Pick two) and my Mr got Southwest Chicken Ranch Salad and Cream of Chicken & Wild Rice Soup (Pick Two). It was pretty quick and we got our order it right away. The temperature on the soup was just right and had great flavor. Grilled cheese hit the spot. My Mr enjoyed his meal. Went thru the drive thru. Ordered the French dip and broccoli cheddar pick 2. When I got home they gave me the wrong soup, chicken noodle. The dip was skimpy with little meat in it and cheese. The au jus tasted weird like it was sweet instead of a savory flavor. I won't order that again and will check my order before I drive all the way home next time. read more

This is now the new Panera opened in 2024. Nice to have a drive-thru. I had the poppyseed salad for $10. I asked my son where's the chicken. I guess he ordered the wrong one. We go to Panera often. Usually the service is good although don't order for delivery. They use a third party company and if your food is not delivered but picked up to be delivered, no one cares. Your money will be refunded but the response will be, "well that happens sometimes and you can put in the order again". Why would I want to pay for another order, knowing it maybe stolen and I already waited over an hour to get the first one. This was not a recent experience and I have not ordered delivery again. Today went there for lunch. My kid had a 1/2 salad for dine in. I didn't see this till the end when he decided he didn't want to eat it. The bowl is dirty and you can see scrape marks from the fork. How disgusting!!! Picture is attached. Make sure you check the bowls before you eat. I didn't have time to talk to a manager and the environment was off today. Panera is an easy go to for me, and in this case my girlfriends wanted it for lunch. My one friend is vegan- and they have vegan options there. I went with my standard, broccoli cheddar soup and the soups come with a chunk of bread. The soup was just like every other location- perfect. The bread was actually a little stale? This is just an ok panera. The food is fine, it's just the staff that isn't that fine. A lot of young people work here and they're always so immature. They joke around and are loud and talk about customers in ear shot. While they're doing That sometimes the line doesn't always go so fast. I still come to this Panera because it's close and they at least get my orders right. I always love the cream of chicken and mushroom rice and I love their cranberry orange muffins. I work in a Dr.'s office and drug reps regularly buy us the Dr.'s choice of lunch. Every time he or the other Dr's mention Panera, the girls in the office roll their eyes. Reviewing the delivery department... Placed an order on a Saturday afternoon for a bread bowl with soup, Pick 2, kids Mac and cheese and a brownie. Everything arrived correct, including our baguette, chips and yogurt. Delivery was on time, just as the email said it would be. You can even opt in for texts when your meals leaves the store and arrives. Only downfall was none of the coupons worked that were provided online. The delivery charge was $3, not bad when you're feeling sick and need soup. Add a tip and we spent $30 which is pricey for delivery but our food was quality. read more

I stood there trying to make eye contact with the two people behind that very counter (they appeared to be busy making drinks) and they both looked at me several times but never said anything. I finally asked if I was able to order at that register or if I needed to move down to the other one closer to the main food area, and the guy said "she can get your order here" but the girl just looked at me and proceeded to work on whatever she was doing. There was no, "I'll be with you in a minute" or "What can I get for you?" So I decided it would be faster to move down to the other register. So I asked the person there if I could order 3 cookies. He glanced over by the bakery section and said he didn't think they had any out. He asked someone and he said they were currently in the oven. I told him all I needed were the cookies, so I could wait, but that I thought I had seen some down in the bakery section already in little to-go bags. Sure enough, he looked and came back with the cookies. Typically I enjoy going to Panera and the service can vary depending on location and how busy they are. But I've never been there and had people completely disregard my presence or not make any effort to be helpful. This used to be a really pleasant place for lunch. Went in today and all the tables were dirty, the floors were dirty. The entire staff was lackadaisical. Bottled water was on special for a dollar, but there was only one on ice. So we had to take one that was room temp because the girl that took our order just shrugged and went back to her register. It took forever for our order to come up, at least 15 minutes, and it wasn't even crowded in the least. My soup was cold and the spoon they gave was dirty. Won't be back. read more

Of course we frequent this Panera because we are a family of Panera addicts and it is so close to us. However, this is quite possibly the cruddiest Panera I have ever been, and I've been to Panera locations all over the U.S. The Anderson Panera has even cropped up in conversations with work colleagues who are also Andersonites and the consensus is that this location is frequently very dirty and seems poorly managed by the night shift. Granted, we nearly never eat here for dinner but the times that we have ducked in in the afternoons there is a "night-and-day" difference with cleanliness and staffing (pun intended). When we visit in the AM the store is very clean and the staff are alert, personable and friendly - they remember you by name or at least on sight, they are helpful and cheerful. The only downside is they seem to always be out of hazelnut coffee when I come in. I have popped in for an early solo dinner and the difference is shocking - the place is GROSS with filthy tables, crumbs all over the floors, service is ridiculously slow especially for coming in at odd hours/downtimes when the place is pretty empty. The employees look absolutely bored to death and move at a snails' pace, and even a manager there looked just plain dirty: splatters all over his shirt, wrinkly uniform etc. (come on now you're in the FOOD INDUSTRY - I shouldn't cringe because I don't' want you to prepare my sandwich). However, the crux of it all came when I used the restroom once and an employee left a stall WITHOUT. WASHING. HER. HANDS. Bloody hell. I have now used this location twice- once I grabbed an early dinner in (so I could eat in peace without dogs barking) and once I ordered breakfast for Rapid Pick Up. The food is Panera food. The atmosphere is a little darker and closer than other locations I've been to, but that's just space- they do a nice enough job with what they've got. The staff was pleasant if prone to casual conversations at a loud enough volume for customers to overhear... not exactly professional, but not offensive either. It was clean enough when I went in. I do have to say that the Rapid Pick Up was ready to go as soon as I got there- early, so that was impressive. Otherwise, pretty standard Panera experience, I suppose. read more

This Panera particular always makes me regret spending my money at a Panera eatery. We have eaten at a lot of Paneras in many states, and this Panera has never actually fully completed an order ever. Something is ALWAYS out here. No matter what time of day you go, something on the menus is empty. They don't bother to tell you this until you are waiting in the pickup area which is annoying. They don't know how to properly execute a refund or ticket change, which is also annoying. As I waited for my wife's food to finally be prepared a staff member yelled at me that my food was ready and pushed the tray at me like I needed to get it out of her way. (We were the only people at the counter.) Additionally, this is the only Panera I have been to where the staff regularly yells at/to one another. Currently my wife and I are setting here watching an argument between staff about doing the job the employees are hired to do as my wife eats her 2nd choice salad. Other little things, they didn't ask about my Panera card, they didn't give me a fork, paper towels were empty in the bathroom, the bathroom was dirty and we are now watching another, different staff argument now... This is the WORST location EVER!!! Called in an order and scheduled a time to pick up with the girl that answered the phone! Got there 10 min after and hadn't even started it. Was told it was going to be ready an hour later. I told them I need them ready now since it's when I scheduled it. The manger, who was SOO rude tried to tell me I was 45 min early. I've gone to this location a few times, and every time i'm there I get treated horribly! Today was my last chance for them, I got bashed for asking for a new sandwich when the one i received was under cooked and had extra things on it that i didn't want. The worker proceeded to tell me that eating under cooked food was okay and they didn't know if they should even remake the sandwich for me. A manager (I assume) stepped in and remade it as the worker rolled his eyes. Once I received my new sandwich the workers were all looking at me and very loudly making fun of me. I try not to eat at chain restaurants, but when you work five minutes down the road from a Panera, just try and stay away from their soups and sandwiches for more than a few months. This Panera is also mercilessly adjacent to my usual Fedex. How many package drop-offs have included a spontaneous pastry purchase? A lot. Let's say a lot. I don't even like to review chains but I've had such a consistently good experience at this location they deserve a shout out. Like today, I asked for a mug for my coffee, which is kind of an annoying picky thing to do anyway. The guy working at the bakery counter picked up a mug, inspected the inside and determined that it wasn't clean enough. He picked up another mug, and that one was dirty too, so he kept going. I first tried Panera a couple of months back with somebody that had a gift card. Upon first glance of the place, I thought they only sold bakery products and bread. Wrong. It's much more than that. They have hot sandwiches and hot soup. I tried the Steak and White Cheddar Panini...steak, onions, white cheddar, and a horseradish spread. Pretty delicious I will say. In addition, I also got a bowl of the Vegetarian Black Bean soup, it's pretty good I will admit but not quite as good as homemade. That combination is perfect on a cold night like tonight. The manager of the Anderson (Cincinnati, OH) location is literally the nicest man I have ever encountered. He is very hands on and is willing to take orders if there is a line.
