Panera Bread - They forgot to order our tomato soup in a bread bowl. had to dump it in the bread bowl & it made a mess. - Sandwiches Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

2 stars is probably being generous. This store continues to go downhill. From subpar quality to rude workers, it's just not worth coming here any longer. It seems this location is never fully stocked - out of almost all bagels on a Sunday afternoon? This never used to happen. Continue to be given wrong items in our order (wrong sides with lunch selections - has happened multiple times). I'll give the staff a little slack because I know they were understaffed, but there isn't any call for them to be rude - I was repeatedly interrupted by the girl taking my order earlier today. Big Apple on the other end of Beechmont or Everything Bagels in Fairfax/Eastgate would much rather have the business. read more

Let's all agree Panera is a corporate chain with mass production of reasonably healthy food. 80% of the time you're gonna get the same kind of food at the different stores. This Beechmont store though has a great staff though! Long time manager Steve is welcoming, kind, personable and makes you feel like you are at his home! The new restaurant is awesome, updated and super clean! read more

So glad to have a Panera on Beechmont, especially with a drive through! Only critique I have is that the interior is modern, not the usual cozy atmosphere of Panera's brand. While it does have a semi-cozy fireplace, I did miss the paintings of bread everywhere that gives this place its signature. I usually get here the autumn squash soup which never disappoints. I also tried the Mediterranean greens with grain salad, minus the chicken to make it vegetarian. It was good and filling, maybe a bit too spiced for me though. Staff was friendly too and food came out quick. read more

I have been going to this Panera since we moved over to Anderson about a year ago. Last night I had horrible service and horrible food and I'm not sure I will ever go back to this Panera! To start upon arrival to restaurant (over an hour before closing) the dining room worker was already mopping and had part of the restaurant closed off including an entry/exit. She was very rude when we went to order even though we said we were taking it to go. We then ordered and she yelled across the restaurant "I already mopped that area". The area of which was not blocked off and didn't have a wet floor sign. Then upon ordering and getting our food home (to be polite and not eat in restaurant) we found black hair in both my salad and my son's Mac and cheese. Not one hair but several in each of the items. I am sad to say this as I am a Panera lover especially with winter approaching but this woman and her rude service and the hair in the food really turned me off, especially as someone who worked in food service for many years. read more

My Mr. and I usually go to the Panera Bread in EastGate but we were in the area and wanted to try this location. Parking is to get in and out of. They have an outdoor patio and a drive thru. You walk in and it's super open! Definitely different from EastGate. Very bright and spacious. They have kiosk or you can order up front. It was 11:41 A.M. and they had their breakfast menu up. They were serving lunch but we had to ask. So we had to look on our phones to order. After we ate, we noticed they didn't change it. And it's already lunch time. I found that very odd. But anyways.... I got the Creamy tomato soap with grill cheese (Pick two) and my Mr got Southwest Chicken Ranch Salad and Cream of Chicken & Wild Rice Soup (Pick Two). It was pretty quick and we got our order it right away. The temperature on the soup was just right and had great flavor. Grilled cheese hit the spot. My Mr enjoyed his meal. They do have a rewards program and it's free. So do take advantage of it. I can see us returning. read more

Went thru the drive thru. Ordered the French dip and broccoli cheddar pick 2. When I got home they gave me the wrong soup, chicken noodle. The dip was skimpy with little meat in it and cheese. The au jus tasted weird like it was sweet instead of a savory flavor. I won't order that again and will check my order before I drive all the way home next time. read more

This is now the new Panera opened in 2024. Nice to have a drive-thru. I had the poppyseed salad for $10. I asked my son where's the chicken. I guess he ordered the wrong one. That would have been 5 dolkars higher. He had a 50 percent off coupon to make this reasonable. Nothing special and mostly lettuce. Taste was ok. In the past Panera gave you more fruit in the past. read more

All I wanted 2-you pick 2's- Very disappointing with the staff the manager on site was extremely rude and loud in explaining the menu. The rest of the team seemed to bicker back-and-forth in the kitchen. I asked a young lady at the table if she understood the menu, she said not really, she later put on an apron and worked the drive thru? When I went to retrieve my order, I asked about the baguette. Christina, the manager begins shouting from the back off the kitchen the reason why my Pick 2 doesn't get 2. I asked if should could come explain it to me rather than shouting across the kitchen in front of patrons. Christina told me that I would have to wait the drive thru was backed-up? Probably because the girl that doesn't understand the menu is working it. Even at the pick up window I asked her if should could stop yelling, I preferred a conversation. or atleast explain the menu, it got no better and she made me pay for my baguette, for $1.19 Christina lost a customer. In a day of poor customer service, Christina squad wins! read more

Tried to go to this Panera multiple times while being here and they put a sign up saying they're short on staff, but when you walk in they clearly have enough staff working. horrible staff and not good service. not worth it. just go somewhere else for food read more

We go to Panera often. Usually the service is good although don't order for delivery. They use a third party company and if your food is not delivered but picked up to be delivered, no one cares. Your money will be refunded but the response will be, "well that happens sometimes and you can put in the order again". Why would I want to pay for another order, knowing it maybe stolen and I already waited over an hour to get the first one. This was not a recent experience and I have not ordered delivery again. Today went there for lunch. My kid had a 1/2 salad for dine in. I didn't see this till the end when he decided he didn't want to eat it. The bowl is dirty and you can see scrape marks from the fork. How disgusting!!! Picture is attached. Make sure you check the bowls before you eat. I didn't have time to talk to a manager and the environment was off today. There was an older gentleman working there and some staff was telling him to leave , go home. Not sure if it was a private joke amongst the staff but it didn't sound positive. read more

Panera is an easy go to for me, and in this case my girlfriends wanted it for lunch. My one friend is vegan- and they have vegan options there. I went with my standard, broccoli cheddar soup and the soups come with a chunk of bread. The soup was just like every other location- perfect. The bread was actually a little stale? I was pretty surprised. My friends enjoyed their meals and Lain agreed that the bread wasn't right. It happens. read more

I just hope this review does not add to the start count. This has got to be the Worst Panera I have EVER visited. I love Panera but this place is ALWAYS out of stuff. When they run out of drinks you will probably wait a half hour, might as well make another choice. The iced coffee is so watered down it barely looks like tea. The bakery is always out of the bagel I'm craving for the day. The sweet items usually taste old and break apart. Make another choice, and don't choose this location. read more

It's a bit pricey, but very good quality food. Colin is super friendly on the morning shift, and so is Steve. We visit this place weekly for a club meeting and they couldn't be nicer. The new place is clean and bright. read more

Idk why this Panera has low reviews they never do me wrong! I order Panera from this location at LEAST once a week and it is always on point. Consistent in taste and speed and quality. Their online ordering is seamless and the app is easy to navigate. 10/10 always! read more

This is just an ok panera. The food is fine, it's just the staff that isn't that fine. A lot of young people work here and they're always so immature. They joke around and are loud and talk about customers in ear shot. While they're doing That sometimes the line doesn't always go so fast. I still come to this Panera because it's close and they at least get my orders right. I always love the cream of chicken and mushroom rice and I love their cranberry orange muffins. Their smoothies are hit or miss. Sometimes they're perfect and other times there is way too much Greek (?) yogurt in it and it over powers it. read more

How is the Panera location still in business? I've been here 3 times and that 3rd time was my last because I got food poisoning from broccoli cheddar soup...how do you mess that up? I knew it was from the BC soup because that's all em and my wife got and we both had the shits. Not only that, this place has always been dirty and I think people only go because it's the only Panera that's relatively close in Anderson but please don't waste your time. One other time they messed up our order....I'll never go back to that Panera because it stanks. If you are reading this, do yourself a favor and don't go! read more

Reviewing the delivery department... Placed an order on a Saturday afternoon for a bread bowl with soup, Pick 2, kids Mac and cheese and a brownie. Everything arrived correct, including our baguette, chips and yogurt. Delivery was on time, just as the email said it would be. You can even opt in for texts when your meals leaves the store and arrives. Only downfall was none of the coupons worked that were provided online. The delivery charge was $3, not bad when you're feeling sick and need soup. Add a tip and we spent $30 which is pricey for delivery but our food was quality. read more

Dirtiest Panera Ive been too. Floor had food and garbage on it. 4 booths still had food and plates on it when all the customers were gone. Plenty of employees but they rather sit and chat than do anything. Spilt coffee, nothing cleaned. Didn't get my order correct. The line cooks were all gossiping about someone or something and really couldn't care about the order. Managers there but part of the problem. read more

How do you mess up a "Chicken and Pepperoni Mozzarella Melt" sandwich? Good thing I ordered soup to go with it because I had a feeling SOMETHING would be screwed up. I work in a Dr.'s office and drug reps regularly buy us the Dr.'s choice of lunch. Every time he or the other Dr's mention Panera, the girls in the office roll their eyes. We all know SOMEONE'S order is going to be screwed up. Sure enough!!!!!! My sandwich looked so good on the online menu, so I ordered the Chicken and pepperoni mozzarella melt. No chicken was on it and I'm not exaggerating when I say I think maybe a tablespoon of sauce was on my sandwich spead out so thin you couldn't really see it beneath the skimpy layer of cheese and pepperoni. This place is just glorified nursing home food!! read more

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE REVIEW Cookie Name: Chocolate Chipper Texture: Chewy Taste: Sugary Chips: Large Appearance: Flat Size: As big as my hand! Price $2.19 Temperature: Best Warm Personal Rating: 3 Stars The chocolate chip cookie is pretty average. Nothing too special about it to make it amazing, but it's better than what their chocolate chip cookies used to be, and it's better than your regular chocolate chip cookie you might get somewhere else. It is chewy, but leaned towards the crunchy side. This was my first time at this particular Panera, and while the cookie was good, the staff were terrible which is why I gave it two stars. I stopped by just to grab a few chocolate chip cookies. It was around 12:30pm and there might have been 1 or 2 people in line, but they were not very busy. You know how sometimes at Panera it's hard to tell which register you can order from? I was looking at the bakery items to see if they had any cookies, and I spied some wrapped in bags to go. I stood there trying to make eye contact with the two people behind that very counter (they appeared to be busy making drinks) and they both looked at me several times but never said anything. I finally asked if I was able to order at that register or if I needed to move down to the other one closer to the main food area, and the guy said "she can get your order here" but the girl just looked at me and proceeded to work on whatever she was doing. There was no, "I'll be with you in a minute" or "What can I get for you?" So I decided it would be faster to move down to the other register. So I asked the person there if I could order 3 cookies. He glanced over by the bakery section and said he didn't think they had any out. He asked someone and he said they were currently in the oven. I told him all I needed were the cookies, so I could wait, but that I thought I had seen some down in the bakery section already in little to-go bags. Sure enough, he looked and came back with the cookies. Typically I enjoy going to Panera and the service can vary depending on location and how busy they are. But I've never been there and had people completely disregard my presence or not make any effort to be helpful. So I will not be coming back to this location and will find a different one to enjoy my cookies in the future. read more

This used to be a really pleasant place for lunch. Went in today and all the tables were dirty, the floors were dirty. The entire staff was lackadaisical. Bottled water was on special for a dollar, but there was only one on ice. So we had to take one that was room temp because the girl that took our order just shrugged and went back to her register. It took forever for our order to come up, at least 15 minutes, and it wasn't even crowded in the least. My soup was cold and the spoon they gave was dirty. Won't be back. read more

Of course we frequent this Panera because we are a family of Panera addicts and it is so close to us. However, this is quite possibly the cruddiest Panera I have ever been, and I've been to Panera locations all over the U.S. The Anderson Panera has even cropped up in conversations with work colleagues who are also Andersonites and the consensus is that this location is frequently very dirty and seems poorly managed by the night shift. Granted, we nearly never eat here for dinner but the times that we have ducked in in the afternoons there is a "night-and-day" difference with cleanliness and staffing (pun intended). When we visit in the AM the store is very clean and the staff are alert, personable and friendly - they remember you by name or at least on sight, they are helpful and cheerful. The only downside is they seem to always be out of hazelnut coffee when I come in. I have popped in for an early solo dinner and the difference is shocking - the place is GROSS with filthy tables, crumbs all over the floors, service is ridiculously slow especially for coming in at odd hours/downtimes when the place is pretty empty. The employees look absolutely bored to death and move at a snails' pace, and even a manager there looked just plain dirty: splatters all over his shirt, wrinkly uniform etc. (come on now you're in the FOOD INDUSTRY - I shouldn't cringe because I don't' want you to prepare my sandwich). However, the crux of it all came when I used the restroom once and an employee left a stall WITHOUT. WASHING. HER. HANDS. Bloody hell. In conclusion, come to this location in the AM, don't waste your time in the PM. read more

I have now used this location twice- once I grabbed an early dinner in (so I could eat in peace without dogs barking) and once I ordered breakfast for Rapid Pick Up. The food is Panera food. The atmosphere is a little darker and closer than other locations I've been to, but that's just space- they do a nice enough job with what they've got. The staff was pleasant if prone to casual conversations at a loud enough volume for customers to overhear... not exactly professional, but not offensive either. It was clean enough when I went in. I do have to say that the Rapid Pick Up was ready to go as soon as I got there- early, so that was impressive. Otherwise, pretty standard Panera experience, I suppose. read more

This Panera particular always makes me regret spending my money at a Panera eatery. We have eaten at a lot of Paneras in many states, and this Panera has never actually fully completed an order ever. Something is ALWAYS out here. No matter what time of day you go, something on the menus is empty. They don't bother to tell you this until you are waiting in the pickup area which is annoying. They don't know how to properly execute a refund or ticket change, which is also annoying. As I waited for my wife's food to finally be prepared a staff member yelled at me that my food was ready and pushed the tray at me like I needed to get it out of her way. (We were the only people at the counter.) Additionally, this is the only Panera I have been to where the staff regularly yells at/to one another. Currently my wife and I are setting here watching an argument between staff about doing the job the employees are hired to do as my wife eats her 2nd choice salad. Other little things, they didn't ask about my Panera card, they didn't give me a fork, paper towels were empty in the bathroom, the bathroom was dirty and we are now watching another, different staff argument now... Hopefully this branch gets shut down soon so I stop forgetting how bad this location is until after they have swiped my card. read more

This is the WORST location EVER!!! Called in an order and scheduled a time to pick up with the girl that answered the phone! Got there 10 min after and hadn't even started it. Was told it was going to be ready an hour later. I told them I need them ready now since it's when I scheduled it. The manger, who was SOO rude tried to tell me I was 45 min early. I said NO this is when i scheduled it! Had to tell her again no I scheduled it for 1130. The sales person called right away to pay and that took 20 min for them to take her card number. The manager then yelled at me and said you need to have the card right then to pay. I told I was never told that, she proceeded to say well that's the way it is. I told her the girl that took my order never said that. WORST customer service and rudest manger ever!! Never coming back! read more

If there was a zero, that would be the rating this place deserves. The manager is the problem. He does not hire appropriate staff. They are slow and incapable. They are often yelled at by the manager. The facility is dirty, so I can only imagine the dirty areas where the food is prepared. The manager is very rude. He does not understand what it is to provide good customer service. They are often out of food. Only 6 onion bagels available on a Saturday at 10:30 am. No plain, cinnamon, etc were to be had. Unbelievable. And no apology from manager, just a nope, we don't have any. Run to the Eastgate Panera, or the one in Walton Creek/Newtown if you crave Panera. I've gone to this location a few times, and every time i'm there I get treated horribly! Today was my last chance for them, I got bashed for asking for a new sandwich when the one i received was under cooked and had extra things on it that i didn't want. The worker proceeded to tell me that eating under cooked food was okay and they didn't know if they should even remake the sandwich for me. A manager (I assume) stepped in and remade it as the worker rolled his eyes. Once I received my new sandwich the workers were all looking at me and very loudly making fun of me. I even had a worker walk past me and say good for her sarcastically. I went to sit down and eat but one of the managers walked to the section where I was sat and walked back saying I hope she leaves. Panera coffee is reliably lame. Orange scones are fabulous. Get it together coffee department.

I try not to eat at chain restaurants, but when you work five minutes down the road from a Panera, just try and stay away from their soups and sandwiches for more than a few months. This Panera is also mercilessly adjacent to my usual Fedex. How many package drop-offs have included a spontaneous pastry purchase? A lot. Let's say a lot. I don't even like to review chains but I've had such a consistently good experience at this location they deserve a shout out. Like today, I asked for a mug for my coffee, which is kind of an annoying picky thing to do anyway. The guy working at the bakery counter picked up a mug, inspected the inside and determined that it wasn't clean enough. He picked up another mug, and that one was dirty too, so he kept going. I got maybe the fourth mug he looked at. That's just plain nice. As for Panera the chain, they're alright. This location? They'll get my spontaneous oatmeal raisin cookie business any day. Well, any Monday through Friday before the last Fedex pickup time. read more

I first tried Panera a couple of months back with somebody that had a gift card. Upon first glance of the place, I thought they only sold bakery products and bread. Wrong. It's much more than that. They have hot sandwiches and hot soup. I tried the Steak and White Cheddar Panini...steak, onions, white cheddar, and a horseradish spread. Pretty delicious I will say. In addition, I also got a bowl of the Vegetarian Black Bean soup, it's pretty good I will admit but not quite as good as homemade. That combination is perfect on a cold night like tonight.
