The men's restroom smell is substandard, as in I think the only way to fix it would be to remodel it, substandard. Panera charges full restaurant prices for meals that they skimp on details with. e.g. they sell "pizzas", if you get a bbq chicken pizza, you get sliced chicken like they have on their sandwiches, which is ridiculous. The coffee service needs to be re-thought out and adapt for their popularity. There's simply not enough there at the serving station to provide for customers when they get busy. A crowd gathers round, waiting for more to come, the employee has to wind their way through the crowd... both the light and dark will be out and they'll refill one of the two and then you won't see them for a while again, because they have other tasks to do; they really need a dedicated coffee person, how about overlapping shifts? Since you've introduced the tablets and the cashiers are employed at helping people face to face less, how about putting the coffee station at the counter, so that the person refilling the coffee can do it from behind, where there isn't a crowd? read more

This was my first time ordering from this Panera location. I placed an order online at about 5:00pm on Tuesday night last week. I should have paid more attention to the big red flag that was waving when Panera was sold out of tomato soup. What!? How does this happen? Not only was the tomato soup 'unavailable,' but all other vegetarian soup options as well. Ugh! I settled for the Modern Caprese Sandwich that came with a balsamic glaze. More like a balsamic glaze sandwich that came with some mozzarella, tomato, and arugula. Yikes. I opened the box to discover a major soggy mess. It looked like the sandwich box had been dropped or tossed because the presentation was absolutely terrible. Unwrapping a burger from McDonald's would have looked better and cleaner than this $10 sandwich. The taste was fine, albeit overly sweet because of the glaze that had drenched everything. The sloppy texture made me queasy. The lack of care that went into assembling the sandwich was quite obvious. Somebody clearly didn't give a crap and I was the recipient. My fiance and I were excited to try Panera. We had never ate there before. Upon going through the drive thru, we're greater by one of the most rude server ever. He was very condescending and sarcastic, making ordering our food very difficult. When we got to the window, him and another server just stood there and laughed. This is my fave Panera location in town. There's a lovely off-street bike path that leads here from across town. The staff is friendly & helpful. The bike parking is scant but available (so don't hog all the spaces). Food offerings are typical Panera fare - sandwiches, salads, soups, coffee, etc. It's pretty standard across most Panera franchisees. What differentiates this location is that it's not as crowded as the one near the mall & it has normal hours when the university is NOT in session where the on-campus one closes often. read more

Last time I ordered from here I paid $1.19 for avacado on my sandwich, and got a single very thin slice, (about a quarter inch thick) my husband's sandwich was sat on, they forgot his pickle, half the soup was gone, idk if it spilled or if they cheaped out there too. I stopped into this location on Saturday June 18, 2022. A beautiful morning, sun shining and warm, but not too hot. That's not relevant to this review, but it did make for a steady morning breakfast/brunch crowd. The staff was admirably up to the task. The lady at the register was friendly and precise with the orders and the rest of the crew in the back seemed to be working well together. Panera has good food for a chain restaurant. I think their bagels and bread are generally delicious. Go for the Asiago Cheese Bagel with some veggie spread or cream cheese. Their Cinnamon Bagel is good if you're in the mood for something sweet. I've tried the majority of their sandwiches but my favorites are the Asiago Roast Beef and the Frontega Chicken. They now have Mac and Cheese which is more flavorful than you'd think and worth a try, but I usually prefer their soups. The biggest problem with Panera, and the reason they are only getting three stars from me, is that their sandwich portions can be ridiculously small. It's supposed to be a half sandwich but far too often it's like a quarter of a sandwich. Even with dainty bites you'll have it finished in about six bites. It's not bad for a light lunch but the price is a bit steep for what you get. The portions do seem to vary depending on who is making the sandwiches. I've had them range from nicely sized to ridiculously small. If they work to standardize these a little better it would be a big help. read more
