Absolutely livid! I placed an pre online order on Dec 19th, 2022for pickup on Dec 23rd, 2022 at 5pm. I ordered 4 bread bowls, paid for them in advance. On my way home, I stopped to pick them up at 4:40pm. I walked in and they was nothing at the pickup area. I knew I was early so I went to the counter. Only to be told that some lady came in that morning and bought 14 bread bowls and another man came in and bought 6 and they only had one left! WHAT!! What the heck is the point of ordering and paying in advance if someone can walk in off the street and just take all the product? Apparently they can't figure out how to fill the pre ordered and paid orders first, and set them aside first thing in the morning. Seems like a simple concept to me. However a bit beyond Panera's ability to execute. I did get a refund. But that didn't help with the dinner party I had planned. We have had them cater our breakfast meetings and lunches many times during the year and they often make errors in our orders. But this is definitely the last time we or I ever use Panera for anything. I will tell everyone I know about my awful experience and post it on every site. They should make some serious adjustments. read more

I can't wait for Panera to open its locations in Bellingham. Anytime I get the chance I stop at the Burl'ton location. Breads and pastries have always been fresh. Love the Coffee/Tip club and especially enjoy the Ginger Orange Mint Herbal teas! read more

Serve me a salad with very old mushy stinky lettuce. Not just some of the lettuce, all of the lettuce. I went back to exchange it for a fresh salad which I saw them make in front of me. When they brought the second salad out, it again had the same bad lettuce. read more

Clean cozy atmosphere. Tried their broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl. It was a yes! Added some chicken in it though, to get some meat up in there. The bread was perfectly crisp on the outside and soaked with thick creamy soup on the inside. The best textures in one! read more

Weird to have registrars in a L counter. Makes it hard to form lines. Pagers for food runners to bring to your table. Self serve coffee and fountain drinks. Water cups located next to soda and iced teas. Don't forget to bus your table when you are done. They offer wifi and clean spacious dining area. I got the pick two: Mac cheese and broccoli cheese soup with bread as side. I have the reward card and got a free pastry. You can get a pastry for $1 if you get a drink with your meal. The cashier forgot to give me my cup. The food runner forgot my pastry. So this was a meh Panera compared to other locations. read more

Panera is Panera, we know how good the Company is, as a whole. I just want to give a shoutout to a worker from this location that showed a great amount of Customer Service. His name was Bryce. I witnessed him ask a customer about the correct pronunciation of her name; I witnessed him have a conversation with a family that was road tripping from Maryland about different areas in the DC/MD area. Tonight was hands down the worst Panera experience I've ever had. That's saying a lot because I've had some pretty substandard experiences at Panera. It was the first day for the employee that took our order, which means it took forever to get our order and he had to go ask for help no fewer than three times. While he was clearly lacking some common sense ("I'm not sure if the tomato bread actually has tomatoes"), this whole experience wasn't his fault; it was Grace's fault, his manager, who abandoned him up front to manage customers without any help or support. The restaurant was out of many options, so ordering was hard. We finally got our order in and paid and they couldn't figure out how to activate a pager, so they said they'd just holler our name. When they called our name, they told me they were also out of the soup I ordered. The sandwich was not prepared to my order (I have allergies and ordered carefully). The dishes they used were stained and the food looked unappealing. At this point, I went up and asked for a refund. My mom took her salad to go and I had to go to a completely different restaurant to get my dinner. read more

Food is usually pretty good, but has gotten spendy. And they've gotten my order wrong several times and forgotten several items at times as well. The last time I was there I had several gift cards to use hat I had never used. They said they couldn't run them in their machine and told me call customer service. So I had to pay for all the food out of pocket, $65.00+, when I was really relying on using the giftcards. Called customer service and they got it straightened out for me and just added my gift card totals to my Panera acct balance instead. read more

Went in this morning and tried to order the breakfast feast. This selection is supposed to come with 4 breakfast sandwiches for the family. I asked to have one of my sandwiches a simple bagel with cream cheese because that is what one of my kids had asked for. The staff on hand was completely unaccommodating and said they could not make the plain bagel as one of the sandwiches. I found this completely ridiculous as it would save their business money and make us as customers happy. A second manager told me no as well so I took my business elsewhere. Will not go back. It's a chain right? So you would think things were set to standard? Not this location. If it's a panini, how do they mess up by not adding all the ingredients listed and forget to grill it?! Why were all three of our soups lukewarm? It really also angers me when my mother, an immigrant who has been here for 40+ years and has worked for that length of time as a surgical nurse gets mistreated because of her accent. Which by the way has never been a problem during the thousands of surgeries she has assisted with. The counter staff totally ignored her as she repeated her order, oh and magically when I said the same thing exactly as she said it, she could understand me. Wow. Ignorant. Panera. The food is fine. What I'm extremely not happy about is the staff member who interrupted our meal by offering my 2 year old free cookies. The first of our problems was when he came to our table to "clean" (it was already clean when we sat down). He sprayed cleaner on the table near our open food as we were trying to dine. Because we were seated and trying to eat our meal we weren't masked, and he continuously got too close to my daughter for comfort. To make matters worse, he approached our table four more times during our lunch just to talk to my daughter. It didn't appear he was checking on any other tables except ours. He then asked us if it was okay for him to take her to pick out a cookie but before we responded he proceeded to PICK HER UP and walk away towards the counter, and when my child began to express discomfort he put her down yet grabbed her hand, again without permission. Even without covid being a thing, no one should ever be picking up someone's child without their permission. We tried to be respectful and not cause a scene so we didn't even finish our lunch and left right after that. We won't be going back to this location in fear of this man. Please take into consideration for other families with small children who have felt uncomfortable because of situations like this. read more

The staff is really friendly and polite. Panera is comfort food to me. Their Turkey blt with avocado is amazing, you get actual turkey breast not the sliced deli stuff. I wish they would serve clam chowder more often but this is not the restaurants fault. Its a chain so its all up to corporate. read more

I will never go back to this place again. It's next to the Costco we frequent, and have often thought it would be nice to drop in, so we did the other day. Right off the bat I wasn't impressed. The staff seemed half asleep, lackluster, and not very helpful. When we said we had never been there before and asked what was good we got a noncommittal response that did not sell me on anything. After we ordered and looked for a table to sit at it was obvious that most of them were dirty but finally found one that wasn't too bad and wiped it down ourselves. The soda stand was also difficult to find and in an odd corner of the seating area. Our food arrived in less than two minutes ... proof, in my mind, that what we were eating wasn't entirely fresh. The cream soup was awful. It tasted like uncooked flour and not much else, we sent it back and traded it for the french onion which was equally bad. My sandwich was thrown together and the insides were half on the plate, it lacked seasoning. The tortellini wasn't bad, but since I can assume they're not hand-rolling pasta back there (all they did was toss frozen pasta with cheese and herbs; which I could have done at home, but which was apparently worth ten dollars), I just can't bring myself to really praise them for it. Maybe it is just this location but I was very unimpressed. I femme bet Panera as having incredible bread, flavorful soups, and amazing sandwiches. It has been a few years since I had any so my wife and I went here. We both had half soup half sand which orders. Hers was average at best and mine, the black bean I make is significantly better. Their prices have also gone up. I won't be back to this location and I fear that Panera has lost its touch. I'm a big fan when it's high-ceilings, spacious, & good-quality breads/pastries ;) Have to give the Americans props for style & size, sure know how to make this place feel higher-end even though it's just basic panini sandwiches too, almost like a restaurant feeling but you pay at the front & wait to get it made before choosing your table; pretty well a QSR. And the decor is quite Martha Steward-like; probably a better place to bring a casual date here than Starbucks, a bit more privacy. Good booth seating near the front. Anyways, the pecan-candied bun/roll pretty tasty, not as sweet as initially thought, but fresh pecans no doubt. Blueberry muffin also a good choice too. Friendly service. Also sell yogurt smoothies but use a puree, no sugar-free options here. Patio seating probably popular when it's sunny and warm. So Californian ;) read more

Ordered online and they messed up my order, I ordered for four people and half a sandwich was missing. Besides that, the portions are tiny and expensive, if you are hungry don't go there. On top of everything, I called the supervisor to let them know a half sandwich was missing from my order, she said she was going to send me a voucher for the sandwich over regular Mail and I never did. It's adequate. I usually go there for lunch when I don't know what to get. Drive-thru can be slow. When they ask you for chips, apple, and baguette and you choose, let's say apple, you'll get chips. It can be annoying. This Panera is the better of the ones I've gone to though. read more

I had the bacon turkey bravo sandwich and broccoli cheese soup. She had Napa almond chicken salad sandwich. The bread was a tomato basil, somewhat tasty but I won't have it again, that's just my taste issues though. Piled with turkey, Gouda cheese, lettuce and tomato and bacon Very good innards. The broccoli cheese soup I would kill for, extreme yumminess. The business itself is clean and looks to be kept that way always. The staff was extremely helpful and very patient. We will return. The downside is children running uncontrollably as if we were in a Chucky cheese pizza joint. But that's to be expected with a family restaurant especially if your accustomed to an adult atmosphere. I try not to come to this location because the customer service is horrible. The people that should be helping are so busy talking to each other they don't notice customer. Eduardo who took our order didn't get it right take to repeat myself 3 times and then still didn't get it right. He didn't apologize for his mistakes nor did his manager. Don't put people on a order selection if they can't take an order plan and simple. Today was the worst experience I've ever had at this restaurant. I ordered a half Cobb salad and a toasted cinnamon crunch bagel. I was given the buzzer and went outside to wait for notice to pick up my order. I was patient as it was rather busy, even at 1:00. After almost 30 minutes, I went inside to check on the status and found my salad and sliced apple had been sitting on the pickup counter for some time;apple was brown, salad looked like it had been thrown together and was wilting. No bagel in sight. I asked why I hadn't been notified my order was ready and told they had called my name. Now that doesn't do much good when I'm outside and the buzzer doesn't activate. I also had to ask for the bagel I'd ordered & paid for so had to again wait for that. While waiting, 3 different people complained that their orders were wrong or incomplete. In addition to this, the tables outside were very dirty with spilled food and none of them ever wiped down in the 2+ hrs I was there visiting with my friend. The table signs indicate they were sanitized regularly. Given we're still in an active pandemic, this is bad news. All in all, this was a very poor experience. read more

I got the large Mac and Cheese, and it looked like a Kids meal size. It barely covered the bottom of the bowl- about 1/4 full at the most. Tasted alright, but so extremely skimpy it was unreal. when I asked the Manager about it, they played it off like this was the normal amount. For the price I was extremely disappointed! read more

Panera is a fantastic place with great food. Sure it can be overpriced, but you get better quality food. I was traveling to a friends house and they asked me to bring dinner. So I dropped by here to get some food. I choose some salads and paninis. When I picked up the food, one employee said to the other, "This bag has like 5 salads lol." lol indeed. read more

Very friendly staff but the sandwich I got there tonight was absolutely horrible. I got the bbq chicken on flatbread. The flatbread was basically burnt. The chicken was terrible too. There was one big chunk that was full of gristle. About the only good thing about the sandwich was the bbq sauce. I did have the tomato soup and it was great. I'm updating my review because I just gave Panera another try. They did have the bread I wanted, but we just had a terrible lunch. My husband had "soba noodles with chicken" which had absolutely NO chicken and the bowl was less than half full ($9.99). I had very poor mac and cheese with watery sauce that I didn't eat.
