While still on the call, I could hear Lily and her coworkers laughing in the background. She then claimed she didn't know how to process a refund because the "refund button wouldn't work." To make matters worse, she said she could "write my name down and let the manager know tomorrow," but there was no sincerity in her voice and no confidence that anything would actually be handled. It felt like a brush-off that would be forgotten -- a reflection of her inept ability to do her job and deliver basic customer service.
