The service was good at the drive-through. Easy to order on the app. And there was no real ambience because I didn't eat in. But that is outrageous for a container of chicken noodle soup. One of many Panera locations in the Youngstown area. This one is clean and well staffed. The coffee is good, and the pots are refreshed regularly, so it's always hot and delicious. That being said, their food is just ok, certainly nothing to write home about. They offer salads, sandwiches, soups and flatbreads. They also have Mac and cheese. My experience has been that aside from the coffee and fresh bread, most of the rest of the menu is Pre packaged or frozen and reheated. On this visit, I had a "Pick 2" lunch of a Southwestern Salad, and a Signature Take Chicken sandwich. It took a very long time to get my meal. The salad was ok, and the sandwich was ok, but neither impressed me. With a cup of coffee, by bill came to $21 and change. For that kind of money, I could have gone to a lot of different places in the Mahoning Valley and gotten a much better lunch. On the whole, I'd have to say Meh. read more

The Boardman Market Street Panera is definitely the best Panera location in the Youngstown area. I haven't had very good experiences at most Panera locations in the Youngstown area; however, this Panera is pretty nice and the best one around here. I love the layout of this particular Panera and the fact that they have a nice outdoor patio with a fireplace. The dining area and restrooms are kept clean here. Food is pretty standard for a Panera. They have a drive-thru that seems to be hit or miss. Sometimes it's quick, sometimes it takes 20 minutes to get a simple order like a bagel and cream cheese. Everything seems overpriced, as it does at any Panera location. Workers are alright. Typically, they are friendly but appear disorganized and confused, and the service takes a bit longer than it probably should. Occasionally, they are out of items here. But like I said before, this is the best Panera I have been to out of all of the Panera locations in the area. If you're going to visit a Panera in the Youngstown area, I would recommend visiting this one as it is by far the best one around. Also, get the Mac N Cheese, it's my absolute favorite thing here! read more

So, I have had a really bad experience today at the boardman panera on market street. I placed my order and grabbed it to go sit down and my sandwich had fallen off my plate. Like any other person would, I cleaned it up. I then went up to the register to tell her I dropped my sandwich and she said they will make me a new one. I then waited 10 minutes and never received a sandwich so then I went to ask again and waited 20 more minutes and never got it. I went up to complain to the manger. She was very rude, and yelled at me. She said "I have video that you got your meal with everything on it" and that "you can't clean up your mess we have to for you and that you don't have proof that it fell" how fucking rude that was. Yesterday evening Veronica thought it was okay to not give a warm welcoming, did not read my rewards to me, & decided she is better at cutting the bagel than the machine. I guess Panera is okay with her sending out customers with self cut bagels like this? What kind of training did she even have? Their salad is delicious, so fresh and crispy! Really filling and nutritious! Sandwiches and soups are availability and yummy. My favorite bagel is the cinnamon crisp but there are many varieties to choose from. They do wonderful promotions with their bagels for autism. read more

I had stopped in today and ordered 1/2dozen bagels and a tub of spread. After shopping at Sams when I got home with my order I had realized she had only given me 4 of the 6 bagels I had ordered and living 25+ mins (give or take) away. There was no chance of me going clear back there to have them fix it. I tried to call and it kept rining for a few mins when I decide red to give up. I learned my lesson and will check my bags for now on, but it's a bummer. read more

The atmosphere at this location is more open and communal than the one at Boardman shops. The benefit to that is the plethora of natural light. The negative aspect is that it isn't as charming. The menu at Panera is great though. And that is consistent...obviously. The white mac and cheese is heavy, but tasty. They rarely go wrong with any of their sandwiches. The "bacon turkey bravo" is amazing (mostly because the sauce and bread on that sandwich are out-of-this-world). read more

Here while my wife is in surgery. I like the set up of this location and my spinach, egg, avocado sandwich was good. I also like the wide variety of drinks, and the healthy options. However the sandwich wrap is not to my liking with some kind of texture that just annoys my senses. This is the only downfall however and during the day, you don't have the groups of teenagers that are loud and distracting. read more

i came here to study because its finals week but it was so hard to study because the staff was so loud and unprofessional. they kept screaming and shouting as if they were in a playground. if I wanted to study at a playground I would've gone to extreme air. my bagel looked as if it sat through a house fire and was harder than the iceberg that sank the titanic. the staff kept screaming and singing inappropriate words and it felt like I was in the middle of an episode of wildin out. if I fail my finals there's nobody to blame but the obnoxious staff at this panera. read more

I am very displeased. Ever since Daniel Rambo left this Panera it has gone very down hill. Tonight I ordered a Baja bowl filled with warm grain. I specifically told the drive thru human that I did not want chicken. Back story, I never cared for chicken, both live and on my plate, but guess what was on my Baja bowl filled with warm grain???!!! CHICKEN! And to top it off, they gave me the butt end of the baguette!!! I want to say I'll never spend another penny here again... but it is also very convenient, cause I work next door, so I probably will. read more

If I could give no stars I would! I tried ordering for delivery online, however it would not let me select a time so I ordered through GrubHub. I placed my order at 3:36pm and chose the delivery time between 4:45-5:00 since I work until 5. At about 4 a young girl walked in from this location to deliver my food. I explained to her that I had ordered the food however requested the delivery time be later since I work until 5 and I have no way of keeping the $40 worth of food hot. She called her manager while she was in my office and the manager stated the receipt they had said 4:06pm. I'm assuming 4:06 was the time the order was processed and prepared not taking into consideration the future delivery time. The girl told me I needed to call the manager at the location which I did and she told me "there is nothing that we can do, we can't remake $40 worth of food and redeliver it to you" She did not want to even take into consideration that I had proof of delivery time and that they were in the wrong. It being Panera $40 worth of food to them might not be something major because their food is very pricy to being with but $40 to a full time working mom of 3 with a sick husband at home is a lot to me. I will be contacting the corporate office and expressing my concerns with the lack of consideration that someone there read the ticket wrong, that they had no answer for the other than "well it is what it is" nothing more than we can do and finding our if in fact Mr. Covelli also owns this location as I know he is a very customer service friendly man and would love to hear both positive and negative feekback. read more

Anyone who likes hair in their food.....I have the place for you.....PANERA BREAD SOUTHWOODS! That's right people, they're giving it away free of charge and don't want to hear from you if you complain. I purchased 2 greek salads (full size) with chicken on each.......$8.99 per salad. HAIR IN BOTH SALADS! GROSS! And they don't want to hear about it either. If you call to complain , it sounds like they're reading what they are supposed to say to you from a piece of paper posted by their telephone. So I stop in today and Cassandra, the manager, tells me that she contacted their area and regional managers (really for this???) and I guess you have to take a picture of the hair that you struggle to pull out of your mouth entwined in the food and halfway down your throat in order to get their attention. Maybe you should take a picture of it while it's IN YOUR MOUTH!!!!! Word of mouth travels fast ...... I'm going to tell everyone I can, any time I can , FOR AS LONG AS I CAN.........DON'T GO THERE!
