Good service, good food. I like being part of the rewards club. And this location has a nice patio. But what made this visit stand out is this is the first time I'm seeing the kettle chips in this new bag. I assume they are the same chips. Calorie count is the same as the chips from Panera I'm familiar with. But I haven't eaten them yet because the sandwich filled me up. My first experience with Panera. I recommend Panera but at this restaurant the cashier was terrible!.. I asked for the $6.99 special on the flyer on their window. She charged me $5.. for sandwich and $4.. for soup. When I asked she just said you want the full sandwich it is more expensive??? I then asked about the soup sizes and she was still super unhelpful, like we were wasting her time. The restaurant was pretty empty. Her name was kenia. Sometimes I think the price is a little bit too much but I love the interiors and the space in general so on a weekend evening it's a good getaway to relax kind of like a coffee shop. This location provides prompt "rapid-pick-up" with my regular orders. The seasonal salads -Goddess, Thai, and Asian are fresh and plentiful. We place 1/2 orders unless we want to save salads for the next day because the are HUGE portions. So, I spent $9.50 on a full sized Chicken Caesar Salad and went over for pick-up. I tipped 40% and was handed my dinner in a bag. I got home and I find the plastic salad container with a handful of dried out lettuce, three small thin slices of dried out chicken and a tiny bit of cheese sitting at the bottom. I went ahead and took one bite and proceeded to throw it in the trash. I will never return. You're begging for customers. A regular orders from you and you deliver this dried out price of crap. Totally wasted $14. If you can't delivery fresh food to your customers during this time, you should just close down rather than ripping off loyal customers. read more

Here are a few of my favorites: baguette bread, coffee cake, soufflés (they run out of them constantly), pecan braid, hazelnut coffee, broccoli cheddar soup. Even some terribly under staffed locations were always considerate and understanding when dealing with me but this place always has hiccups with costumer service and orders. You are located in Austin for goodness sakes is finding decent employees that do the work and don't talk back or act funny so hard? Yes, Panera Bread is formulaic. From menu to inside layout, every store and experience is totally predictable. But sometimes predictable is good when all you want is some decent food, a cup of coffee, and some free wi-fi. I seem to have a habit of winding up here after a certain early medical appointment. I always get their Bacon & Egg sandwich on an Asiago Cheese bagel, so I'm pretty predictable, too. The food's always very good and hits the spot. The coffee can be either great or crap, but that's more determined by my picking a roast I really don't like and am disappointed by it. My bad. But the free wi-fi is always fast and on target. Service is fast and polite here, and the dining area, while busy enough to sustain operations, is never terribly crowded. There's a small patio outside that's nice when the weather cooperates. One thing I want to mention--and applaud--is Panera's hiring practices. After having been to several locations in Austin and other nearby cities, it's really obvious they make a very conscious effort to hire without preference to race or sexual preference. That's kind of cool in and of itself, and worth rewarding by bringing my business to Panera. read more

Very rude staff that will avoid you if possible when you are waiting to place an order, and the actual inside of the building is smelly and dirty. I was waiting to order food without any other people in line, and the staff kept avoiding even speaking to me for at least eight minutes and trying to push my service onto other staff members. You can't go wrong with Panera. I have trouble choosing what I want because everything is fantastic here! My new favorite is the Asian Sesame Chicken salad. The dressing is light and tangy and fantastic! I usually pair that with the Frontega Chicken sandwich... also incredible. The bread flavorful and the cheese, chicken, onions and tomato taste SO GOOD! The fact that this Panera never has soufflés drives me insane! You have breakfast till 10:30 and you're out before 9am and don't plan on restocking them! Seriously, any time I come here for breakfast I'm greatly disappointed. I used to come here at least once a week but knowing that I often will leave empty-handed or with some other less satisfying item deters me to coming once every few months. I've been to a lot of Paneras and always had good experiences, but never have I had an experience as great as this! On top of the food, our waiter CT was such a delight. He was friendly, funny, and quick to serve. He represents the absolute best of what I hope to see in restaurant staff.
