Food is mediocre (neither bad or good). Expensive for portion size. Cleanliness and overall condition of this restaurant is not good. Employees are kind--that's about the best thing to report.

So for me when I read a review what I really want to know is if the person writing the review will actually go back and do business at this particular location again. Really that's all that matters right? It's either yes I can't wait to come back or no this place is not for me so what's my answer? The answer is ABSOLUTELY YES!! I purchased a chicken sandwich and a small chicken salad, it was very very good and conveniently located right next to the Hampton Inn I was staying at. I've never really eaten at Panera bread and I have to tell you I really liked it and I can't wait to go back.

My order was a fiesta chicken sandwich. I ordered at 11:26am didn't drive off until 11:42 with not my order. Almost a 20 min wait to get whatever they gave me. To then call and get a refund for my sandwich. What a terrible experience. I will never go there again. Like wow. I usually will give ppl the benefit of the doubt but there were 5 workers barely anyone inside and I was the only car. This location needs so much training it's sad.

Arrived for dinner, informed closing in 10 minutes and my order had to be "to go".

I think this Panera bread location deserves a little love. Every time I've gone here it's been yummy food. I think the interior is cozy.

The drive thru here is the worst.. 30 minutes and no way to get out of line. I highly suggest that you avoid it.

We had a delightful lunch here with a 12 top. The service was timely given the party size for a…read morelunch rush. They had a variety of options from salads, wraps, burgers, and pizza. We started off with some shareables; fried zucchini, sweet potatoes and fries. They were fried nicely and seasoned well. My friend and I shared a Cobb salad and the pizza with prosciutto, arugula, and balsamic drizzle. The salad was big enough and they even split it into two plates which turned out to be a nice-sized half salad. The pizza was an 8 inch but again, this would make a nice lunch if eating for one or splitting with someone. Others at the table also tried other pizzas with pears and veggies. All looked very good and tasty as well. Our party ended up trying some desserts too. We tried the tiramisu, although some commented it tasted more on the chocolate mousse side. Although I didn't taste any of the seasonal cheesecake, it was a hit at our table. I wanted something cold to cleanse the palette, so I opted for the espresso ice cream. It was rich but got a nice strong espresso flavor which helped perked me up for the long afternoon meeting that followed. The location was perfect and the weather was slightly warm for October. It was a nice ambiance and great way to start our seaside event.

Delicious! Very reasonably priced! Great, friendly service! it's a must visit!…read more We have passed by here many times, but the place never seemed that appealing from the outside. Located right at the corner of a V intersection, but the parking lot is tiny, maybe enough for 6-8 cars max. The inside is not any bigger. With about 6 tables total, it's actually never completely full every time we have been here. What surprises us each and every time is the amount of to go orders they get! Literally, at least 1 call in/walk in/online order every 10-15 mins! Having been to several Thai restaurants on the Central Coast, Tasty Thai is the cheapest so far out of all the ones we've been to here! Their portion is also good for at least a couple dollars cheaper per dish compared to anywhere else! With the exception of the Panang curry, which has great flavor, but just too watery like a soup and not enough veggies/toppings, every single dishes we have tried here have been great to excellent! Our go to dishes every single time are satay chicken 10/10, beef salad 9/10, pad see ew with beef 8/10, and we would make the effort to try a new dish for that second entree. Excellent mom's and pop's restaurant! Give them a try! You will not be disappointed.

Rest of my party got pad thai! Everyone commented on how delicious the plates were. Our waiter was upbeat and very knowledgeable. He had answers to all of our new customer questions. The place is small and the food came quick. Lots of people in there for lunch. Thats always a good sign. I say try it!

Always good food at Ember…read more Trying the October menu tonight 10/22/26. First off, THE BAR. Always friendly bartenders and the selection is top shelf beer, wine, and spirits. It's my favorite spot to sit and eat my meal. Started with the wood Fired Lamb & Za'atar Mezze appetizer. This is a big appetizer and can serve as an entree or split among 2 or 3. The flavor of the Lamb Ragu was amazing. It comes in two separate plates (Lamb Ragu in one, and the bread and Baba Ganoush in the other) Highly recommend. For my entree, I went with the Duck Paccheri Pasta. Super tasty. Check out my pics for a visual. Of course, I will be back. Cheers

More Can Be Less…read more.... It was that time of the year - my birthday - so we decided to have dinner "a notch above" where we typically go. I've been to Ember 3 or 4 times in the past 8 years, but another visit was overdue. - Overall: 4 - Location: 5 - Ambiance: 4 - Menu: 4 - Wine List Selections: 5 - Wine List Prices: 3 - Food: 4 - Service: 5 - Price and Value: 4 - Parking: 4 - Location: Convenient from Pismo Beach to Nipomo, but San Luis Obispo to Santa Maria is not too much of a stretch. - Ambiance: Rustic, yet contemporary. A wood fired pizza oven is just left of the entrance...a large bar is ahead on the right...wooden tables are arrayed throughout and there's an outdoor patio for nice weather. We sat at a table for 2 in the raised section toward the back since there's less hubbub away from the front. - Menu: Moderate in size with lots of creative sounding selections. We had 2 suggestions for improvement - Add soup and definitely a few more choices for vegetarians. - Wine List: Excellent, but no bargain. Ember has a really nice group of wines indicating it's been curated with a knowing eye. However, prices are twice - or more - what you'd pay in a store. - Food: Excellent...if a bit heavy. My wife and I shared 2 appetizers - Pepper Creek Farm Heirloom Tomatoes ($18) and Fried Green Tomatoes ($23). Both were very good, but many added ingredients overpowered the main feature: Tomatoes. My entree was Swordfish ($44). The piece if fish was fairly small, but the accompanying vegetables and sauces filled out my plate. My wife had the Half Chicken ($38) which was big enough to take some home for lunch the next day. She, too, liked her dish but felt too much "froth" obscured the "main event". Sometimes simple is best. The dessert menu was small - 3 items - so we passed. We had a bottle of Talley Chardonnay ($56) which was a fine choice for our meal. One other item to mention was the house bread. Fantastic. I'd but loaves if they sold it. - Service: Fine. "Bill S" took care of our table with a light yet knowing touch. - Price and Value: Reasonable. Our bill before tax and tip of $174 was about as expected for a nice meal. - Parking: Adequate. There's a lot in front of Ember which is fine when it isn't crowded. Otherwise, you might need to use a neighboring street. Ember is certainly worth a visit, but many of the dishes might offer more than what you'd prefer. Next time we'll get one of their famous pizzas.

As soon as I walked in, I was mesmerized by the refrigerator row of wine/champaign bottles. The bar area is well decorated with a dark background and small lights to emulate a dark starry night. Their service was not good in our L.A.-opinionated minds. Yes, we were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. We waited maybe 20 minutes before someone eventually came to take our order. Mind you, the whole time we were ready to order, the waitress who seated us was walking back and forth, setting up tables around us. She clearly saw that we were ready to order but didn't even offer to take our orders or get another staff who could. This is a place to come to if you are NOT in a hurry and are here to simply chill and take life SLOCAL style. The food here seems like a fusion between American and Mediterranean style. 1. Octopus Appetizer (4.5/5) Large octopus tentacles served with a combination of vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, roasted peppers) toasted with garlic and olive oil. The vegetables and octopus were all cooked very well. The octopus was fresh and melts in your mouth. 2. Grilled Asparagus (2.5/5) Large asparagus that's seasoned lightly, but it was not cooked correctly. It had a very stringy-fibery texture. 3. Philly cheesesteak (2/5) The hoagie bread was grocery store quality at best. We were sad that it wasn't even toasted or warmed up, so ended up ditching the bread/bun and just ate the inside. The cheese was at least nicely melted. The onion and bell peppers were fresh, but the steak was "meh." Definitely not quality beef. The beef itself was also not seasoned enough, so was bland and dry. 4. Onion rings (5/5) Fried to perfection. Loved that the onions were fresh and it was easy to pull apart with each bite. The aioli sauce that its served with is plain and bland though. 5. Crab cake (4/5): Crabby patty anyone? All I tasted was fried Panko batter. Wish the patty itself had more flavor and spice. The garlic aioli sauce that came with it though was good. 6. Dr. Marquis Salad (4/5): Fresh spring mix lettuce topped with ground beef and crispy bacon, tomato, sliced avocado and tossed with their house-made olive oil, salt and pepper dressing. Overall, it was a hearty salad with plentiful flavor. It was just a bit weird to have ground beef in salad, but I guess that's what makes this salad dish unique
