Clean and neat and the cashier was nice. The food however was like bad airport food. The bread was good but the meat was dried out and burned barely covering the bread. The cheese was melted and hard with some speckles of red pepper for $11. Not worth it. Dry, dry, dry. read more

My wife had the worst experience and despite trying several times it only seems to get worse. She was going through the drive through behind another customer. Waited 7 to 10 minutes with no one responding. Finally she drove to the window and they responded as if irritated saying "We're Closed." A two second polite reply would have saved this poor review. I suggest going to Urbane! read more

Panera has some sort of new loyalty system with points - ok big deal. If the actual food is not that good - why should I BOTHER? I had a really gross Asiago bagel stack and a mediocre street corn soup (they should call it a potato soup with a bit of corn) on a pick two, and thankfully still had a gift card to pay for it! Ugh! Oh and my side was the Asiago croissant twists for $1 more, like most everything at Panera: not good/ not bad but why pay for this mediocrity? read more

Good service, though terrible value for money. Portion sizes continue to get smaller while the prices keep going up. read more

Went there for lunch today, you can tell the manager is off. Plenty of dirty tables and waste station is full of dirty dishes. Front counter staff was just standing around when 1 of them could have been cleaning up. The food was good but it makes you wonder if the front is that dirty what it looks like behind the counter? read more

Prices very high and food is not good, Service is pretty terrible and drive thru takes forever. $22 for a gross soggy grilled cheese and a really small cup of soup that tasted so bad I didn't even eat it. read more

Horrible experience. Employees were vaping while they were working and they take 20 minutes to take my order. There was non one else in the drive thru. I made a report, which is something I never do! read more

By far, the worst Panera I have been to. I went there three times on a recent visit to Pismo Beach. Not once was there a person at the front counter. One time it took about 10 minutes for someone to come out even though the manager had looked over to the lobby. They don't have kiosks so you can't order yourself. One day a homeless guy was rolling cigarettes with loose tobacco on one of the tables. Bathrooms are obviously used by the homeless. I absolutely don't know why Panera is okay with this while they have total disregard for the paying customers. The employees don't even look like they want to be there. Last year was the same issue but I just had to leave a review this time. Corporate needs to get down there and do something. read more

What happened to Panera? It use to be so good. Now, the food is barely edible. The iced tea and iced coffee labels were switched. So fun to take a big gulp of tea and have the bitter taste of coffee. The bread on the sandwich fell apart. The bread is no longer baked each day. They have frozen bread shipped it. Panera was acquired by JAB holding and what a downfall it has been. Cost cutting to the max. A once great place to relax and have a healthy tasteful lunch is no more. read more

Shut this place down already!!! This place use to be so great! Food was hot fresh and restaurant was lovely and clean. NOW ..... it's horrible! The restaurant is disgustingly filthy, the outside is so run down it looks like it's been abandoned, food was awful, baguette was hard as heck , ice /sods machine broken. All bad! Avoid! read more

Well kept and stocked. Friendly manager. Everything was very clean and organized. We will stop by again

Food is mediocre (neither bad or good). Expensive for portion size. Cleanliness and overall condition of this restaurant is not good. Employees are kind--that's about the best thing to report. read more

For a completely terrible experience, call and try and place an order. After the obnoxious phone tree, press 5 to connect to an associate only to be told "please hold" while the set the phone on the counter and BS with other employees. Had to call back 9 minutes later only to be put through the same thing. No thanks. There are other options we have as consumers. read more

So for me when I read a review what I really want to know is if the person writing the review will actually go back and do business at this particular location again. Really that's all that matters right? It's either yes I can't wait to come back or no this place is not for me so what's my answer? The answer is ABSOLUTELY YES!! I purchased a chicken sandwich and a small chicken salad, it was very very good and conveniently located right next to the Hampton Inn I was staying at. I've never really eaten at Panera bread and I have to tell you I really liked it and I can't wait to go back. read more

Great food and customer service! They took the time to show me on app how to get my rewards!

My order was a fiesta chicken sandwich. I ordered at 11:26am didn't drive off until 11:42 with not my order. Almost a 20 min wait to get whatever they gave me. To then call and get a refund for my sandwich. What a terrible experience. I will never go there again. Like wow. I usually will give ppl the benefit of the doubt but there were 5 workers barely anyone inside and I was the only car. This location needs so much training it's sad. read more

The Panera Bread here in Atascadero is a little bit smaller than the ones that I've been to in other places. The parking lot seems like it shared with the Hampton Inn next door so it's a little bit on the limited side especially when It's busy. There is a drive-thru at this Panera so that could be a plus for the folks that don't want to get out of their cars. It's hard to tell if they're more limited on items here, but that's what it kind of felt like since either they were sold out of things or they just didn't have it. I got here late morning so that's a very reasonable reason for why that's the case and it was clear that this a place where a lot of people like to go to get pastries and food. They have lots of great food combinations. I really enjoy their salads and sandwiches so those are always fun to try something different. Make sure to sign up for their rewards program so you're able to accumulate points and rewards. The visit I had made they seemed kind of short staffed for how busy they were. read more

I recently went to Panera Bread in Arroyo Grande for early dinner with 3 friends. The lady at the counter would not help us with the kiosk installed to place orders. Whatever happened to good old fashion face to face customer service. Needless to say my 3 friends and I left. Not only was this lady not nice, she apparently did not care that we needed help or that we were there to order food. What kind of personnel acts like that ? What kind of person owns this establishment. The atmosphere was very tense. read more

This place never has what you want and a cone in the drive through most mornings, even though they're open. Terrible company. Can't keep spending my money at a place like this. read more

Decided to have a hot sandwich & warm soup for dinner on this cold windy night. Little to my surprise I was told the soup was already packed up for the day and I had to choose another option, (after I had already paid). The service was not what I had hoped for other than the service clerk handing me "to go" meal wishing me a good night. I arrived prior to closing and had hoped to enjoy a pleasant dinner out, however, that was not an option being that they close at 8pm. This will be my 1st and last time coming here. My "to go" dinner will be soggy and wilty by the time I get to enjoy it at home. read more

I was about ready to give up on this Panera as the service and lack of product has been very disappointing over the last year and a half . I stopped in Tuesday and was just going to grab a coffee. Unfortunately the dark roast was out, Serena who waited on me, offered to make a fresh batch i was shocked as in the past this would of never happened. She shared with me that they were now under new management and I just wanted to say thank you and I'm so happy to have a Panera that I would want to visit in this area. read more

da food was really good but service iz bad id took five minutez to take my orda dat shouldov tooken 30 zecondz and then I said can I get gluten free bread on my sandwich and then he said a loaf then I said the same thing again and they said they were out?! nobody was in the line don't go here the food is bad. :( :( :( :( :( read more

By far the worst Panera anywhere. Placed an order to go through the app. When we unpacked the order at home (15 minutes from town) we couldn't believe how badly the order was messed up. The cobb salad bowl had nothing but lettuce and tomatoes in it! The chicken, bacon, eggs, cheese, and other veggies were all missing. Was packed with the wrong dressing too. The broccoli mac and cheese was just regular mac and cheese. The turkey sandwich had ONE slice of turkey in it! It also was on the wrong bread and had mayo when we'd ordered it without mayo. Got the wrong soup too. The only thing that was right was the second salad we ordered. We get it, errors happen on occasion, but this was a complete cluster f....! This shows a complete lack of caring, professionalism, and respect on the part of the staff and management. We will definitely NEVER go to this Panera again. read more

First off this place was so cold you could hang meat in it. No wonder they can't afford to have enough people working there, their electricity bill is too high. The counter help was nonexistent, one of the kiosk wasn't working properly. When my friend asked if someone could please come and take her order you think we'd ask her for her first born child. Both of us ordered the half-and-half my mac & cheese was good but my half chicken ranch bacon sandwich was so soggy from all the ranch dressing that was poured over it. Apparently they were running low on mac & cheese cause I think maybe I got 3/4 of a cup. My friend ordered the Mexican street corn chowder, which was pretty good but not very hot. Her sandwich was doing the backstroke and mayonnaise. I also can't say I've ever seen arugula on a BLT. Suffice it to say we won't ever be back. PS: this isn't the first time we've been to this location. It pretty much sucked the other time also. read more

The food was delicious and service was great. The restaurant was very clean and the ambiance was great.

Horrible! I have literally never waited so long in a drive thru in my life. They weren't even apologetic about the wait either, was probably waiting for 25-30 mins & even the person behind me was trying to back out but they had a truck and were not able to. read more

I've eaten Panera maybe at a dozen locations, and they should really shut this one down. Service was indifferent, but the main issue is that food was all stale - every single thing we ordered - and cold. They should not be serving this stuff. read more

They closed, in San Luis Obispo, near Madonna Rd. It was a good place for soup and sandwiches but where did they go?

Computers have been down so the rewards aren't available. Staff doesn't care and when I've asked to speak to the manager, she's worse! Telling me that the corporate office is responsible for the problems, then SLAMMING the drive-thru window in my face. Really RUDE. One time they ran out of bagels in the afternoon! Seriously. Nothing they could do about it because the bagels arrive in the morning and they can't order more. read more

Went to Panera order the soup very good & salad. I.m not familiar with the menu so it takes me a while to check it! I mention to the clerk I don't come here very often so it might take me awhile. It seemed as if I was taking to much of his time from sweeping the floor bc that's what he was doing when we came in. I placed my order then asked I see you have breakfast! what time do you open. He's reply was Well I'm not from this store! ( What ? ). Robert the clerk didn't give me a cup for my drink . I reached behind the counter to geta cup and sat down. I'm sitting waiting for my food. I here in the background Hey you got your light buzzer! I said I didn't know i was suppose to get one. Everything was behind the counter I said in the beginning I'm not familiar with this restaurant. I had to ask where the drink dispenser were located. Not very customer service friendly. Hope he didn't split in my soup!!! As for the parking lot I had to park by the two trash cans..essence of leftover food was coming out it..like voimt, sour milk& crusty socks! read more

Poor service and always out of everything! The worst Panera I've ever been to. Somebody please come save this place...

I often enjoy stopping in at a Panera Bread wherever I might happen to be for an inexpensive and healthy meal. I noticed a poster on the window this time promoting "Panera Duets" for only $7.99. Apparently, this was not displayed on the menu board inside, so the only way I knew about it was by noticing the poster on the window and asking about it. They have a few different options available and it's basically the same as "You Pick Two", but only for select items. I had the Greek Salad and Creamy Tomato Soup, and I very much enjoyed it! read more

STAY away from this location. The whole entire building smells absolutely disgusting like mold and urine. The employees act as if they are mad they have to work. I would say every table was filthy like nobody cleaned it for days. You have visible mold all over the walls and drink machines. The second I walked in this establishment an overwhelming urine odor hit me like a current. This place needs improvement. This is not Panera bread you gotta do something before somebody gets sick. If somebody used the bathroom they would gets sick for sure. If the owners don't do something the community will. Yikes this is how my sandwich was made and wrapped, this didn't look like a hot mess when you wrapped it up. Now to my husbands dinner, the bacon on his sandwich was slimy and grey so we trashed it.
