Stopped in for a quick bite before catching the ferry out of culebra. You don't have many choices when it comes to early morning food but we enjoyed Pandeli. The interior is spacious with lots of scattered tables. There was a long line and no tables when we came for breakfast. The workers are fast and gave us helpful recommendations. The sandwiches were all very good. The ham tastes more like Oscar Meyer bologna but I didn't mind. We also enjoyed our iced coffees. There is also bathroom in the back but you need to be a paying customer and ask them for the key to use it. I recommend any of the pastries in their display case! We tried a couple and all of them were amazing. Definitely worth trying out some of their food if you're in the area! read more

LOVE Pandeli! I bought an egg & cheese breakfast sandwich and all of the ingredients are so fresh! It almost melts in your mouth. Pretty solid. If you are staying in town, this is a good place to come to get some breakfast. Last time I was staying in Culebra, I stayed at El Navegante de Culebra. Nice restaurant located near the dock landing for the ferry. The order came us fairly quick. We ordered the Cuban sandwich, hash browns (tater tots), and the bacon egg & cheese sandwich. The line gets long after 8 AM every day and they close around 10:30 or when they sell out or if it gets too slow...according to the cashier. It is the best place on the island for a quick & decent breakfast. The coffee is good the prices are very reasonable. The place is with air-condition so if you wait you at least wait in a cool place. We ate at Vibra verde for 3 days before we find Pan deli. And pan deli became like a heaven after Vibra verde. Vibra verde is very expensive, you sit outside so no AC, also you wait at least 20 min for a bagel with cream cheese dor 4 dolars:( so try pan deli first for breakfast on the island. Service is not very friendly but it is not a problem as long as you get what you want: tasty delicious meal with good price. We also have a doggy bag from here for lunch.. Pan Deli is decent. They have pretty much the cheapest, and possibly the only breakfast on the island. Its all standard stuff, but the bread is much better than anything else they serve. I like to think that God placed this "Panaderia" in Culebra to make sure us "outsiders" had at least one place to have breakfast because this is it. First the food: it it not fancy but it is good. Asides from the typical Puertorican breakfast as well as what you would find in the mainland US, albeit, a limited menu yet sufficient. Second, the place/atmosphere: it will likely be crowded any time you come. Remember, this is the only place you can get breakfast (at least as of the time of this review). There is someone of an echo inside and let's just say that we Puertoricans (yes, you are getting a review from a local!) are not known for speaking softly. You are likely to enjoy the experience because the mood is always one of excitement as in, "Oh my God they serve breakfast!" The Service: I left it for last and will encourage you to take a "chill pill" before you come in here. The workers seem more intent on entertaining themselves than taking orders or taking care of the customers. When your order is ready, and believe me when your order is ready you will be starving because it will take that long, they will call your name and place your order on the counter to pick up. But please pay attention because if say "Sussie" is now complaining that she has not gotten her coffee if your order happens to be on the counter, it has coffee and you have not gotten it, guess what is going to happen to your "ready to drink coffee"!? I watched this very scenario fold right in front of me and I laughed it off but man, I really wanted my coffee right then! Of course I stood there waiting for the next person to take his own sweet time to get his coffee and "Alas" I had a cup of coffee and believe me, the customer who ordered it was not happy! I wish I was making that up... Remember, be grateful when you come in here because until such a day where they may have some competition you are getting breakfast from the breakfast monopoly in town and for a monopoly they do a pretty darn good job!
