Small panadería (bakery) right by the ferry terminal I'm Vieques. I saw this on my early walk the day before and saw a huge line of people standing in line waiting to order food so I figured I had to try it before leaving. I went this morning at 7:20- and there were 5 people ahead of me in line! I ordered a cafe con leche (coffee with milk) and doughnut and they were both good.

Not a bad start to my last day in paradise (for now). All fresh

*They do not serve breakfast (no eggs, no bacon)! But they have really good pork sandwiches (and others), delicious fresh baked bread, strong coffee and pretty good donuts. I bring up breakfast because they open really early and are right by the ferry terminal. I tried to order a breakfast sandwich when I arrived with no suerte. Then when I went back, I saw the sign (en Espanol) that said "no servi huevos". Good first stop to kickstart your day!!!

Fantastic hole in the wall spot for breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and coffee needs. Hot spot for locals (for a tiny port town, there was a very consistent line outside the window!). A very short walk from the ferry terminal. Excellent quesito! Strongly recommend.

Nice local bakery with delicious breads and pastries

Delicious morning pastries (5 stars) Our inn keeper suggested this place since it's within walking distance and because of their delicious pastries. While in Vieques we came to Lydia's three times, and all the pastries were delicious. Depending on what time you get there, either early in the morning for the best pickings and get in line with the locals, or later in the morning with no line but fewer options. Regardless the time, go visit this Panaderia and eat some delicious pastries. The bread is really good too. We bought some to go and ate them along the pool of our resident.

It's worth standing in line. Great sandwichs. Get there early for pastries and donuts.

Today's order did not take as long, but quality was also not as high. Ambience was a non busy local cafe/ ice cream parlor. I got my 1st ever Monte Cristo sandwich so I can't compare, but it was filling and seemed fresh. Other family members did not have major complaints. Son got red velvet ice cream after his meal. Too sweet for me. Lady who took our counter order was not helpful, as mentioned in other reviews, do don't go expecting good service. Venmo worked. Outside the door was a local selling home grown mangos. He gave us a good deal so we bought a bag full.

Food takes forever to come out. About 30 minutes for two sandwiches. Through the kitchen window, you can see the staff eating. The girl making the milkshake put her finger in the shake to taste it, licked her fingers and continued making the milkshake. Safety violations everywhere. Got a small cone icecream, was asked if I wanted two scoops and I said just whatever is the small size and then she proceeded to give me two scoops and then charged me for a large??? Grabbed a quick egg sandwich which was nutritionally dense. Great coffee prices!
