If you want to spend a lot of money for bad food, this is your place. Staff were arguing with each other, and were extremely slow. The store is cute, but the seats are uncomfortable, especially when you are waiting 2 hours for a crepe and eggs with waffles. The coffee was okay, they were luke-warm and very average, the only captivating thing was its appearance. The flavor of the crepe was very odd, the chips were stale, wasn't very hot either. Waffles were not very good, the eggs tasted like eggs, wouldn't recommend for $15. The empanadas were the best thing served here, for $3, but I would not come back for how long they took to come out. There was only one other table there while we were there, which is why there is a complaint of time. I really do not recommend this place, not even for the coffee as there is not much variety. We decided to take a shot at a small restaurant what seems to be a mom and daughter owned business. I hope this place gets the popularity that it deserves because the food was on point. Mixed berry crepe - sweetness level was through the roof in combination of the fresh fruit was amazing. Definitely opened my eyes which is what I needed in the morning. Strawberry and banana crepe - Not too sweet with just the right amount of firmness and softness to each banana piece. A lovely texture for each strawberry which tasted divine. Chicken Bacon Ranch with raspberry sauce - Each bite had a generous amount of chicken with a lovely raspberry jam sauce that was amazing touch. They were out of the usual pesto sauce but this was a great alternative. Signature tea - I believe this was hibiscus tea and it is a must try! Everything tasted perfect and refreshing. Overall experience was amazing and best to get there early before people starts swarming in. The place is a little small but very comfortable. Very attentive and was very kind. If we ever decide to visit Puerto Rico again, this will be on our list! read more

On day 5 of our trip to PR, and we finally found a vacation-worthy breakfast/ brunch spot! While staying at the Conquistador provides awesome views and beautiful facilities, the food left much to be desired. My husband found Borin Crepa on Yelp and thank goodness!! We were so over cafeteria-style breakfast offered at the Con. My husband, daughter and I had the Nutella crepe, crepe sandwich and the French sandwich. Delicious!! We cannot say enough wonderful things about this place! We were visiting PR on vacation and for the first couple days having a really hard time finding clean places to eat. We stumbled across this on Yelp and, though it was hard to find, we're SO glad we persisted and found it. They made a really good coffee which just made my husband so happy. Their food was incredible, but honestly it's the environment for us that sealed the deal. It is CLEAN, the menu was beautiful and easy to ready, and the employees were wonderful. This was an awful experience. We ordered 4 crepes, 1 omelet and 5 drinks. It took them 40 minutes to tell us they were out of eggs. We waited an hour for 4 of the 5 drinks we ordered and two of them were the wrong order. There was one couple before us that also waited an hour for their food but other than that we were the only customers in the cafe. There were three people on staff and none of them seemed to care. After an hour one crepe came out and was tasty enough but cold. This was incredibly unprofessional for business. Not sure if it was indifference, incompetence, or perhaps hostility towards our somewhat limited Spanish or some variation of the three but after 80 minutes we all should have at least had our drinks. We decided we'd had enough, put twenty dollars on the table and went to leave. The door was locked! We had to find someone to get the key to let us out. We got a mumbled, half hearted apology. All of us have, or still, work in food service jobs. We are sympathetic to the work but this was crazy. Even on Caribbean time this was not acceptable. read more
