If you're looking for a fun night out, I definitely recommend Panda Harlem. It was our first time going and honestly we had such a good time. We went during happy hour and loved the happy hour, weeee haddd time The vibe was really good, music was great, and it just felt like a place where you can relax and enjoy with friends. It wasn't awkward at all, just a really fun atmosphere. The staff made a big difference too. Everyone was super nice and professional but still chill. The manager was sooo nice and made sure we were good the whole time. They were really accommodating, and they even gave us two rounds of shots on the house which was such a nice surprise. One thing that really stood out was when my friend left her designer purse there. We didn't realize until later and came back the next day, and literally nothing was missing. That meant a lot and made us feel like it's a really trustworthy place. If I had to say one thing, it can get a little busy so the wait at the bar can take a bit during peak hours. But honestly it wasn't a big deal. Overall we had a great first experience and I would definitely go back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 read more

I went back to Panda Harlem, and let me just say... this place never disappoints! This was my second time here, and somehow the experience was even better with friends. Every time I come, it exceeds my expectations. I ordered the beef, shrimp, and lobster fried rice because I couldn't decide on just one--and that turned out to be the BEST decision. It was packed with flavor, fresh, and absolutely delicious. My friends ordered the spicy kung pao chicken and the salmon, and both dishes were just as amazing. For appetizers, we went all in--oxtail dumplings, steamed shrimp dumplings, and chicken dumplings... everything was so good we couldn't even pick a favorite. By the end, we were so full and satisfied, already talking about coming back for happy hour soon And the drinks?! I had the D'Ussé fishbowl, and my friend got a coconut margarita--both were top tier. Between the food, drinks, and overall vibe, Panda Harlem is easily a 10/10 every single time. Definitely one of those spots you keep coming back to! Our waiter was amazing she was very attentive and made sure we were satisfied. read more

Vibes are very nice here, they have a DJ, and hookah if that's your vibe. Their bathrooms are gender neutral and they have a lady working there with all your needs for sale! Now the food was hit and miss on a few dishes, I really enjoyed the fried rice, noodles, chicken wontons, their Shanghai chicken was delicious, and the rock shrimp was not too bad. The chicken satay had some "peanut sauce" but it had a more caramel flavor and the chicken was under seasoned to my taste buds. The filet mignon w/ broccoli tasted better the next day, and the fried lobster was okay but the real flavor was in the legs and claws. The scallion pancakes for me were too thick, thicker than I'm use to. I think I want to come here again and order from the menu myself. read more

First time coming here I was expecting so much more than what this place actually has to offer. So upon walking in there is a bar that is not being used it's just there has about 10 bottles of bulleit and some empty hookahs around. There was a nice seating area across but it was also empty. I walked down a hallway to a back room and that is where the main dining room is not huge but a good sized space. I was waiting for my friend so I got a seat at the bar, they did have happy hour the menu was small but did have some things on there. I ordered a lychee martini that was ok they make it milky which is not my preference so I immediately changed my next drink to a margarita. My friend got a Margarita then we were seated at a table closing out our tab at the bar prior. I must say we were seated in a high place with one single table no one around us which would be nice if it wasn't next to the closet where employees kept coming to put stuff in. Not to mention by an emergency exit we were freezing. Not comfortable seating at all. We waited a little while before someone came over she asked us what we would like however we were seated without meus so we had to ask for that. We were given a QR to scan then ordered appetizers chicken satay, shrimp satay to begin along with two more margaritas. The chicken was good I've had better shrimp satay before I would say pass on this one. I then ordered the salt and pepper shrimp & the lobster fried rice they both were good portions and had good taste. I did want a sauce to go on the rice they did not have one I was given sriracha which was not good to add to the dish at all. So untimely no sauce was interesting for sauce people like myself eating dry rice is a no go. I think the most disappointing this about this was we came during restaurant week wasn't given a menu so we ended up spending nearly $300 service was mediocre and food was basic not happy about this visit at all. read more

Our first step in the door. Panda Harlem hostess greeted us with such warmth and welcoming energy. The decor was warm filled with charm and great abiamce. It reminded me of a great movie set or entering a scene from yout favorite music video. The food arrived hot fresh and full of flavor. We were there for our yelp elite event. Panda Harlem's entire staff was friendly and provided great customer service. read more

Food was good. Drink was good. Atmosphere was nice. Service was good. Will definitely go back again for sure.

I was really excited to try Panda Harlem, but I left extremely disappointed. I went on January 29 during one of the coldest weeks in NYC and it honestly felt like we were dining outside. The heat clearly was not working -- everyone had their coats on, including the waiter. Panda Harlem is not cheap, so having no heat is unacceptable. At the very least, they should have closed and allowed customers to go elsewhere instead of sitting through a freezing dinner. I ordered lemon drop drinks, which were good, and the food came out hot -- rock shrimp tempura, filet mignon with broccoli, and chicken and beef fried rice -- but none of that mattered because we couldn't enjoy the experience at all. We were also there celebrating my boyfriend's nephew's birthday, which made the situation even more frustrating. Paying those prices to be freezing is not okay. read more

I had dinner here on NYE. Inside is dimly lit and there was a live dj playing old school hip hop. There was a prefix menu for $70 that included an appetizer, an entree and "a dessert" that we actually never received. I ordered the rock shrimp tempura for my appetizer and the Shanghai salmon for my entree. The rock shrimp tempura was heavily breaded but still crispy and juicy. The salmon was also really tasty, and the bok choy that accompanied it added a fresh element to the dish. I wish we would have gotten our desserts. I'm not sure if I would come back. I expected to dance the night away and was surprised to not hear any afrobeats or dancehall all night. I also didn't care for not receiving 1/3rd of the menu offerings but being charged the full prefix amount. They also add a 20% gratuity to the bill. read more

I came here for happy hour and resturant week dinner. I sat at the bar and it was a nice experience. The bartender was really nice but when I gave my card to pay; they could not find it. That's when I started getting worried because I did not receive the card and they told me I did. Thank you for camera because the card slipped in the hole of the card holder and then they gave me my card and two rounds of drinks on the house. So the service was amazing; we had a problem they fixed it and even gave us drinks on the house. That was really nice the manager is great and the bartender was too. The drinks were good; I had the lychee and it was good. The appetizers were also good; the chicken satay was really good. The dinner was great; the waitress was really nice and the food was good. I ordered the shrimp and my friends got the beef and chicken. As a dessert we got the red velvet which was good. The food was ok; I liked the happy hour they have. I would definitely recommend you try their hh and if you like it then have dinner. I do want to try their brunch. read more

The food is good and the prices are very reasonable. Large servings. Bok choy was delicious. Lobster lo mein is good. Shrimp and broccoli is worth it. Bang bang shrimp is just okay. Chicken satay lightly breaded in sauce. I was told it was good. Get the lychee martini. I wish I remember my servers name. She was very kind. We came for my sister birthday. Restaurant is very dark. We were seated under a dripping pipe. Not okay. Everything else was okay read more

Looking for some Asian fusion mixed with an eccentric vibe. This restaurant lounge bar is definitely a nice spot to unwind, have fun or celebrate a night out. Sexy enough for a date night or calm enough for a lunch break. The music is all current urban contemporary. Beautiful street art work covers the walls and dim intimate lighting throughout interior. The entire wait staff is very attentive and friendly. Eat: Dumplings. 10/10 Filet mignon w/ broccoli. 9/10 Shanghai salmon. 10/10 Vegetable fried rice. 10/10 $$ Drink: Top shelf alcohol or drink specials served. Wine selection available. Non alcoholic drinks Mocktails available. Shisha Hookah available. $$ Recommended date night, birthday/work celebration. ID checked at the door. Security. Reservations strongly suggested. Visited Panda Harlem this evening. The food was so delicious. From the spring rolls to my shrimp and broccoli. Loved the vegetable fried rice too. The service was excellent. Waiters were very accommodating and so sweet and attentive. Even laughed at our corny jokes. Loved the wall decor with great colorful art deco. Just had to take pictures. I definitely give this establishment a 10/10. I definitely will be returning after my Dry January. A virgin pina colada just ain't the same. read more

No heat during the coldest day of the year and my local Chinese food store makes better food for a fraction of the price.

The food was good ! Especially since I have high expectations for Chinese food . The service was okay this time (7/10 ) , I've been there 3 times so I'll say this service wasnt to expectation . Overall ? The chief ate ! The bartender ate ! Waiter ? Sucked . Just waited his tip . The ambiance ? Great for pictures , but if there's not photographer everyday ...what's the point right ? Friend invited me out last minute in a Saturday night for a 730 pm reservation. Since it was raining the whole entire day, we were early, getting there at 7. They had no problem seating us early. The place was not packed as it was still early but a good amount of patrons. I was lucky to find a street parking after my circling the block a couple of times. Our waitress was courteous and attentive. We ordered chicken bao buns, Lo mein, shrimp and broccoli, kung pao chicken and passion fruit martinis. Everything we had was pretty good and our drinks was delicious and strong enough. They even provided us white rice to go with our leftovers The venue was pretty spacious and nicely decorated with a good dj playing great 90s and 2000s music, which we enjoyed very much. I enjoyed my time there read more

Panda Harlem definitely wasn't what social media made it seem. We had a reservation for 8 however, when we arrived we had to wait to be seated, which is fine and usually happens at restaurants. However, we waited for a while and once we were seated. They seated the 6 of us at 2 tables pushed together, which realistically would only seat 4 people. We requested to be moved and was eventually moved to the booth by the front door, and, It was cold right there but we stayed. We went for Restaurant Week. They had the 3 courses. The Bejing Chicken was good, as well as the chicken fried rice. Only issue with that is that we had to order rice as an additional appetizer, since their entree didnt come with rice. I really liked the Tres Leches cake as well. The leches martini was good and really strong. I initially ordered a pina colada, which was nasty. The waiter excused it, since he was the one who suggested it. The service at Panda Harlem was not good. But our waiter was nice. He was pleasant but seemed too all over the place. He also took forever to take our orders but the food came out fast. The ambience of the restaurant was not the best. It strikes me more as a club atmosphere rather than restaurant, I guess because it was in what looks like a warehouse that they threw tables in, graffiti paintings on the walls. I don't know. Another thing is that the bathrooms were disgusting. I'll be ok with not revisiting. read more

The ambience was cool. They have what can be considered "2 parts" (front and back of restaurant) . The music was a hit and there were many people celebrating birthdays. The food came out sooo fast! I really enjoyed my appetizer (oxtail dumpling) more than my meal but it was good also. The service was also quick (you can tell they know how to work efficiently for when things get busier) and dinner moved smoothly. read more

For my first time at panda I did brunch on Sunday. It was the bottomless branch where you got unlimited frozen rose for two hours. The drinks are OK I like the frozen, but I wish it was sweeter because I like sweet drinks, but it wasn't bad. I loved the food. I know a lot of people say that their food isn't the best but I feel like it is one of the best compared to a lot of others. I was actually surprised how good the food taste. I loved everything. I had no complaints about anything that I tried from the filet mignon from the dumplings from the chicken satay from the lo mein from the fried rice from the Kung pow chicken. Everything was great. The music is great and they also have hookah as well that has to be paid in cash. The ambience is nice as well and a lot of people love to take pictures at the graffiti wall when I went someone did have a fight so I feel it is a little ghetto, but you will have a good time overall. read more

I tried this restaurant during restaurant week 2024 with a friend and my experience was just ok. First, I understand the mandatory gratuity required by most restaurants but not for a table of 2 or less. The restaurant decor was interesting and original but the food offerings seemed familiar. Their menu was very similar to sei less and Brooklyn chop house in my opinion. For my meal I had the chicken satay, Beijing chicken and the red velvet cake dessert. The chicken satay was good and reminded me a lot of the chicken satay from Brooklyn chop house. The Beijing chicken was just ok to me but if you love candied nuts you'll love it. I also had the pina coloda which was very good and a little strong. Lastly, the cake was light and moist. I normally do not like cake frosting but theirs was really good. Parking is also scarce in the area so I don't anticipate me returning very soon. read more

We came for Sunday brunch and it was a real treat! The decor is so cute with so many photo ops. The family style brunch special is perfect - $65 for large portions that included 4 apps, 3 entrees & 2 sides. My favorite was the filet mignon with broccoli - the sauce was delicious. For $25 we added bottomless drinks that included mimosas, sangria & frosé. The frosé was our favorite. We ended with a few desserts. The cream on the red velvet cake was so tasty! We were stuffed but packed every last bit to take home it was that good. If you're looking for a great brunch spot with music, vibes & delish food + drink then try out Panda! read more

I enjoyed an interesting spin on Asian cuisine during brunch. The food was truly delicious, and my friends and I appreciated the relaxed atmosphere since it wasn't crowded. Ok so I actually really liked this place and I would def go back. Full disclosure its more of a date night vibe, if your looking to turn up with your friends go across the street. The food 4/5: the flavors were really good and it was visually very appealing but the broccoli needs ALOTTT of work. It was very soggy and chewy in a bad way, just over cooked and almost had that microwave taste which is unfortunate because the sauce and flavor was delicious. Def get the scallion pancake it was actually my favorite thing on the menu Scenery 5/5 this place is beautiful and I do think you get a great experience even sitting at the bar. The music 2/5 Im not sure what was going on that particular Saturday night but the music was all over the place Drinks 3.8/5 some were really tasty and others were meh but overall they were food enough just a little pricey. Service 4/5: bartenders were great servers were interesting..... Would def go back for a more intimate night. read more

Walked in after work for happy hour to try this place out.... Hostess was welcoming with a smile. We sat at the bar, Vivian was our bartender. I wanted to try the frozen drinks but she said unfortunately the machine wasn't working. So two out of the three or four happy hour drinks wasn't available.... Bummer. We tried the lychee martini which was good. We did order some items from the happy hour menu which were good aswell. Honestly it was just ok.... It wasn't giving Asian restaurant, it was underwhelming for me. Don't get me wrong the decore & staff were nice although I couldn't lock my bathroom door. I had a great time at Panda Harlem. We came during the weekend of Lunar New Year so we got to see an awesome presentation with drums and people dressed in their traditional costumes! My friend and I were so happy to have experienced such a great cultural experience! We came on a Friday evening and the atmosphere itself was very loud. Definitely hard to carry a conversation with friends over dinner. It seems that the is place must turn into a club after dinner hours. Despite this we still enjoyed the food and the service. Our host was kind and our server was patient with us. I didn't feel rushed out, which was also nice. We had to wait about 20 mins for our table to be ready so we waited by the bar. This area is very busy with servers going back and forth. There was no available seating by the bar either so we had to awkwardly stand to wait for someone to tell us our table was ready. I think having a dedicated waiting space for this would be a much better experience. Also don't forget to make a reservation! read more

I came here to celebrate my birthday with a few friends for Sunday Brunch this past weekend. Booking the reservation was easy, we had seamless communication with the manager through email. It was actually harder to find friends to attend the brunch due to the price. For a family style prix fixe brunch, inclusive of 2 hours of premium open bar, it came out to $180 per person (tax and tip included). I think that the price appears alarming at first, making it harder to secure people for the actual reservation. We arrived on time (maybe give or take 10 min) for a 4pm reservation. Initially we were directed to the bar until our table was ready. Oddly enough, we were seated at 4:35, and told our reservation would be up at 6pm. We did not receive any waiter service (there was only one server serving the entire dining area, and it was his first day on the job, God bless him!!!) until 4:45ish. The hookah guy arrived to us quite promptly though! After a few minutes of confusion, we were able to ensure that our 2 hours would start once we actually placed our order. Very thankful for that, although this should really be standard for any party that arrives on time. Ironically, as a group, we have shown up to restaurants late a fair but, so to actually be on time was quite the miracle for us. Our server was definitely a bit overwhelmed, rightfully so, as it was his first day. We needed to remind him that we had a prix fixe reservation which included the premium liquor. Once this was squared away, we were finally able to order. All of the food tasted great. I loved the chicken satay and the Beijing chicken the most. The chicken wontons were also delicious, and tasted fresh. I was happy that the menu had something for everyone, considering that one of my friends cannot eat beef. The lychee martinis were decent- I personally prefer them without the coconut puree. But hey, they packed quite the punch. My favorite drink of all was definitely the house margarita. It was one of the best margaritas I have ever had. Kudos to whomever made it. Overall, our experience was great. My only qualms were the confusion about our reservation package, and that we all left wanting more food (it was good!!!) Special thanks to the security and valet, who did an excellent job keeping the birthday girl safe!!! read more
