The last 2 times I ordered from Panda Garden the food was so oily that it made me sick to my stomach. I used to order from here a few times a month - but hadn't for quite a while, and I never will again. A month ago I ordered a pu-pu platter and when I got home and bit into an egg roll and yuck it was so oily. I ended up throwing away the egg rolls and won tons and just ate the spare ribs and chicken but felt ill. Then tonight I ordered some wings and it was disgusting and threw away half and feel sick to my stomach. People working there may be nice folks but I'm not giving them another chance. Agghhh, the food was pretty good. However the service was completely off. I wasn't greeted after standing there for at least 5 mins, the young woman looked around twice before saying "Are you ready" The restaurant was clean, but not real crowded for noon on a Friday. I ordered sesame chicken & fried rice lunch combo, they actually serve pork fried rice with the lunch combos, I also asked for an egg roll, which was really good, cooked to perfection, not real greasy... Just good. My son ended up eating the majority of my food & really liked it, so we will definitely give this place another shot. Good Day All. IMO, The Shrimp are extremely bland.Absolutely no seasoning!! The crab rangoon is just disgusting, taste like crispy fried bread There's hardly any crab meat(Its more than likely imitation crab meat) inside of wrap. 2 Stars only for the customer service. This is a place that has been a staple in the powder springs community for years and definitely didn't appreciate the support the community gave. They were literally the BEST Chinese restaurant in powder springs but over the last 3 yrs their quality is laughable , their portions have shrunk but their prices have gone up. My most recent visit was my last, the final straw was having to ask for napkins and the utensils. With all of their "Covid" protocols they have they are using their bare hands to give utensils out of a box after you've touch money, debit/credit cards and whatever else. We tried this place for the first time. The food was great but when I went to pick up the food it was a pass through window for the food and another pass through to pay. The pass through where you pay was filthy and it looked like only one person inside was doing everything. Not sure if we will go back. Long story short, this place had good reviews so we went. We walked in and the woman cleaning tables greeted us and went behind the counter to help us. The bad thing is, she never removed the gloves she was cleaning with, touching on the pens and menus on the counter, which grossed me out. This is my goto Chinese restaurant cause well there aren't many choices close by. I am from up North so Chinese food down here is usually hit or miss. The food here is pretty decent for the area. The young man who attends to you is quite polite and professional. If you guide them to cook exactly the way you want the food comes out a lot better. At times there could be some quality issues. I wish they would spend more time on doing little things like draining oil off fried items or healthy drink options, but overall not bad. read more

This was my first visit to the Panda Garden so I went for take-out ordering something very standard and hard to get wrong: Sweet & Sour Chicken. Short story: I get home open the bag and container and see fried chicken pieces with no Sweet & Sour sauce in sight (none cooked on the chicken & none in a separate cup in the bag). I called back to the restaurant to see if they could compensate me in the future for their error. Since it was about a 20 minute drive to go back there and it was late and I was tired I was not up for a 40 min round trip just for a cup of sauce. The lady at the restaurant asked me, "What you want me to do?" So I asked if they could compensate me on my next visit. She said that she could not give me free order which was not what I asked for. At that point I gave up. This was truly a first and I've been to Chinese restaurants literally around the world for 40 years. Forgetting the Sweet & Sour sauce on Sweet & Sour Chicken is like ordering a burger and forgetting to include the burger patty. Conclusion: Panda Garden is more sour than sweet. Avoid. read more

Both the fried rice and gravy for the egg foo young had a weird taste. I can't eat it. I've had fried rice and egg foo young with gravy since I was kid never had one taste like that and I'm 60 years old So I know it shouldn't taste like that. Hope I don't get sick. read more

Honestly must say this is by far the freshest and best tasting Chinese I've had since I moved to Georgia from NY 7 years ago. It reminds me of Chinese food back home. I love the fact that they serve whole chicken wings as well as shrimp rolls. I've been eating at this place for the last 3 years and have yet to be disappointed. read more

Bland, Bland, Bland. Ordered moo good gai pan, and bourbon chicken combo. First of all, the portions were huge, but the food was awful. The bourbon chicken was bland and tasteless. The moo goo gai pan tasted like chicken and vegetables in watered down chicken soup. I've also never had moo goo gai pan without water chestnuts before. I used to eat here and enjoyed the food. I considered it to be mediocre but it is 3 minutes from my home so when in need we'd just stop there. I ate there quite a bit during my pregnancy and so after having had my daughter, my older 9 yr old and I stopped there with the baby. We went inside with the car seat and went and got one of their high chairs from the corner of the restaurant. My 9 year old turned the high chair over so we could place the car seat inside of it. As she turned it over, you couldn't help but notice the layer of dust and dirt clinging to the bottom of the chair. Yuck! But just the beginning of yuck. We saw 3 roaches on the bottom of the high chair. One of which was unable to cling to the dust and fell to the floor. As it fell, the man ran from behind the counter and stomped it with his boot. He apologized profusely but did not see the other 2 roaches that managed to hang on. I was disgusted but felt like I was in a movie and unable to speak. I sat the car seat on the table to gather my thoughts and collect myself. My daughter and I looked at each other. She was waiting for my direction. We calmly left the restaurant, speechless. As we left, we watched a lady who had placed a call-in order proceed and felt conflicted but didn't want the man to be upset with us for ruining his business but felt guilty for not saying anything about what had just happened. In an attempt to redeem myself, I am leaving this review. I will never eat there again. I will likely never eat at another Chinese restaurant unless I can see them prepare my food. I don't stereotype but this has made me very skeptical about the cleanliness of any restaurant, front of house, or back of house. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this is a true story that I wish had never happened. I can't erase the memory, way too vivid. read more
