We have ordered from here many times. It is a very middle of the road family-run takeout place with your typical American-Chinese food dishes. I've ordered from here a few times now and they have very average Chinese food. Everything is under seasoned and blah but it gets the job done. The wonton soup is too watery, the egg rolls are too greasy, the entrees need to kicked up a lot. One the flip side the portions are fine and it's not too expensive. read more

I agree with a previous post, the woman at the register (owner?) overcharged me when she rung up my order with the little calculator. Honestly, the only reason I noticed was because I had already paid for the order online, which she didn't know, and I saw her total was a few dollars higher. Not okay. Still going strong and the food now is better than when I first reviewed 8 years ago. My favorite is the Chow Fun, but I have yet to find a bad dish. Hands down the WORST Chinese food I have ever had. I paid $1 more for white meat chicken and every bite I ate was some type of filler to make it look like chicken. I called in and said there was no meat whatsoever and the woman assured me it's "white" meat?? If this was meat, it was the cheapest processed version I have ever tried and tasted spongy. Actually in Wrightstown at 5 Points on Rt. 413. Primarily a take out place, but there are a few tables if eating the food piping hot out of the kitchen is important (it should be). The food is standard Americanized Chinese food. There must be one cookbook they all work out of, or a convention they all attend to get the same items on every menu around the continent. Still, Panda Garden is on the higher end of the quality spectrum even if the output is fairly much the ubiquitous fare we all know. I have had the Wonton Soup who's broth is above average; the various Chicken and Sauces, which are solid, but uninspired and sometimes overcooked; and the Noodle dishes and Foo Youngs, which are also acceptable. Just nothing to write home about unless you are having a very boring day and feel homesick. If you find yourself in this part of Bucks County this choice is as good as you are going to find. Good food but double check the bill. On more than one occasion they round up the price of each item. Now they are adding $.79 charge when you pay by credit card. The owner told me most restaurants do not take CC on orders less than $10. Well, my order was slightly over $20 and they still charged a $.79 CC fee. read more

Pretty disappointed I tried this place on a whim and it truly didn't satisfy. I truly had high hopes for this place upon arriving. However, the restaurant seems very clean and tidy the food was not anywhere near delicious. I love honey chicken it's delicious usually. This place murdered my idea of honey chicken. It stuck together like a box of fresh glazed donuts it was so hard to even separate the pieces. The taste of the breading was like biting into a donut and was very displeasing. Overall the egg drop soup was the best part of everything I've tried there and I might attempt to explore another thing on the menu; just to give them another chance. After reading the reviews here, I was hoping for a better experience. First, the greeting, if you could call it that. A young woman sauntered up to the counter and very rudely said, "Yeah?" none too friendly. Wow. You call that customer service? How about a "Hello, how can I help you?" or something similar? This is when I should have walked out. I would have saved money and avoided a horrible lunch. I selected something from the menu that was not identified as hot and spicy. All other hot and spicy items are notated as such. This was made hot and spicy. I did not ask for this. The meat (beef) was mostly tough and dry, nearly impossible to chew. I almost choked on a couple of pieces. It was supposed to be beef and green onions. I found a couple of green pieces of the top of green onions. The rest was a mass of regular onions. I have had this dish before in other restaurants, and there was never masses of regular onions. It was very poorly prepared. The chow mien noodles that came with this were very stale, so stale I couldn't eat them. The soup was a joke. I was able to see the cook assemble it. It was bullion powder from a container! It didn't even have any flavor! The won tons in the soup were the best part of the entire meal. 7 dollars is a lot of money for a lousy lunch. Rude on top of it. The best place around? Methinks not. Panda Garden is a middle-of-the-road Chinese take-out restaurant in an area that doesn't really have many good options. There are a couple of tables if you want to dine inside, but this is first and foremost a take-out establishment. Panda offers your typical Americanized Chinese fare. All of the staple dishes are accounted for: General Tso's chicken, sweet & sour chicken, shrimp with garlic sauce, pepper steak, etc. Their main strength with regards to food preparation is that it is always fresh and piping hot upon pick up, something that not all Chinese restaurants in this part of Bucks County have in common. A major downside is that, while all of the dishes that I have sampled are agreeable with regards to taste, they are almost all universally bland and lacking in strong flavor. Having a bottle of Sriracha sauce at the ready is recommended. Additionally, veggies are often extremely hard and undercooked, and sauces tend to be oily and goopy (again, typical for most establishments in this area). On the plus side, prices are extremely reasonable (around $20 for two people to eat) and food is prepared quickly to order. The boneless spare ribs and sweet & sour chicken are highlights, and their pork fried and brown rice varieties are tasty. If you're in the 18940 zip code, Panda Garden provides fresh, serviceable Chinese food. Of course, venturing outside of Newtown to a place like Han Dynasty will yield much tastier results. read more

This place is awful. I am a recent transplant to the area and tried PG for the first time tonight while my wife was out of town overnight. I can't say enough about how totally horrible this place is. The food was so bad I threw in in the trash after looking at and reluctantly tasting it. I ended up steaming PF Chang dumplings I found in our freezer and dipping it in the PG homemade hot mustard which I have to say was delicious. So unless you're ordering homemade hot mustard I would avoid this place. read more

By far my favorite Chinese restaurant in Newtown! Never had any problems with any orders always flavorful, delicious and fast. They do have seating however it is more of a takeout kind of restaurant. They also offer delivery. And one of the very few Chinese restaurants that I have ordered from since living in Pennsylvania, I am from New York, that offer roast pork egg rolls, I call them New York style, not any of that crappy spring roll stuff haha. Turns out they are from New York also so I guess that's why I love them so much! After a couple of moves locally, we are happy to be in the delivery range again, we definitely utilize that at least a couple of times a month from Panda Garden! read more

Seems to be more of a take-out place. It was kind of dead when I went on a Friday night, which was unexpected. Perhaps everyone was down the shore in anticipation of the end of summer? In any case, the food was hit or miss. The Mongolian beef was very tasty (and spicy), the General's chicken was pretty average, the crab Rangoon was good, and the hot and sour soup was pretty terrible. I actually threw the soup out because it seemed like something was just wrong with it. I'm hoping that was some error in cooking. I've ordered from here multiple times...it's so so but the only place you can get Chinese delivery in this area so I've just accepted the okay food. Tonight was a different story, got my usual order, delivered 40 minutes later then expected time. I always get chicken schezuan- tonight i was delivered chicken and onions. No other vegetables, no rice, no sauce. 3 little pieces of chicken and like 10 onions. Called and asked what vegetables come in schezuan- the angry lady said "every vegetable we have". When i went to tell her what i ordered and what i got, she hung up the phone. I wouldn't order from here again if it was the last place on earth that had food. Gave it 2 stars bc previous orders weren't as screwed up as this on, but waiting 40 mins past the 1 hour waiting time, being given the wrong order, and then being treated like an idiot by the staff, is my last straw. Panda Garden is your standard take out Chinese restaurant, however the food is excellent. The wonton soup had good flavor. We had the chicken, beef, and shrimp in garlic sauce. We also had the Singapore Mei Fun. In both dishes the proteins were tender and not fatty. Both were spicy but not overwhelming. The flavors were well developed. The veggies were cooked properly, not under and not over. The food tasted fresh. My wife and I are picky about Chinese. We haven't been impressed with any of the other Chinese restaurants in Newtown. Its a shame they don't utilize some of the space in the restaurant to put about ten tables. They need to advertise more because we didn't find out about until my wife went to the post office across from the restaurant. read more

There are not many choices in the area. When we are desperate we order food here. If you need chinese food in a hurry it's an ok place if you stick with the chicken dishes. They must buy the cheapest cuts of beef and pork because they are always tough a few times not edible. My boyfriend and I just moved to Wrightstown and decided to try this place out since it will be our to-go place for Chinese now. We walked in and ordered takeout and sat and waited while the food was cooked. It was done in maybe 5 minutes and we could see the whole kitchen and watch the chef the whole time. The entire restaurant was remarkably clean, and the owners were friendly. We got 2 lunch platters that came with rice and eggrolls. Everything was fantastic, espcially the general tso's chicken. I got shrimp and broccoli with garlic sauce, which is supposed to be spicy, but it was pretty mild. Still tasted good though. Next time I'll ask for some extra spice. read more
