Great food and service . Lunch buffet is reasonably priced and has lots of options . They are open every day except Tuesday

The family that runs it has ran it for at least the last 10 years, and they're always so warm and welcoming. The music is loud enough to actually be heard, but not enough to make it hard to have a conversation. The food is almost always FRESH fresh, and they have my second favorite egg drop soup recipe I've ever had, but it's first place in ones I can get now. This was a good find. It is a quite large, very neat and clean Asian restaurant run by a Chinese family. It has a Hibachi grill, an extensive buffet and a good menu with a wide variety. The staff members were pleasant and attentive and the service was good. There is no liquor license so we had iced tea. My wife decided to start with steamed , house made, dumplings. They were a little doughy, but the filling was excellent. She then went off to the buffet to gather all sorts of goodies, while I ordered mixed veggies with fried tofu. The quality of the food we had was really very good. It was freshly prepared, the portions were large and the prices are not high. We had always thought Mountain City to be somewhat of an culinary backwater; but, there is now a good variety of better quality eateries in this quaint little town. Anyway, we finished off with homemade apple pie which was very nice. These is no doubt we will be back to this restaurant. Best Chinese buffet around! I never leave Panda Garden disappointed. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly and the food is good.

Decent food at a descent price. Everything was cooked properly. Wait staff was attentive.

We were driving through this area and I needed gluten free food. Usually I can stop at a Chinese buffet and find several choices. Here I was very limited so I had rice , fruit and California rolls. Flavors were not as good as other places I've visited on the east coast or in our home town. The water is pure chlorine so I didn't drink anything. My husband didn't like his food either. read more

This Chinese buffet has lots of variety with typical soups, salads and hot dishes. The hot and sour soup was good. Stand outs were the chicken on a stick which was tender and the rangoon were sweet, the way I like them. There was an ambrosia-like salad I enjoyed. The employees were polite and helpful. read more

We are locals and when given the choice of where to go to eat in town, my choice is always Panda Garden. You wouldn't think that a small town in the mountains of East TN would have tasty Chinese food but it is always hot, fresh and delicious. There are many different dishes to try and they often have new offerings on the buffet line to try. I have my favorites but love getting to sample new dishes! The staff is super friendly and eager to make sure your dining experience is enjoyable. They are closed on Wednesdays as are a lot of businesses in Mtn City so keep that in mind if you are headed this way. read more

A pretty bland take on a Chinese buffet half the options on the bar would not even be considered Chinese Mac and cheese meatballs etc and it was not that great. The lo mein was not even made to the standards of a typical buffet was not impressed was hoping they would have crab legs for an upcharge but no dice there either. For a small town with not a huge variety of ethnic flavors, it was ok. I've eaten at many Asian restaurants and this one was definitely not on my top ten list. In a small, rural town where there are about 4 choices, this will do if you don't want to drive for dinner. Just know that if you order food to go, if it is available on the buffet, that is where you will get it from. They only prepare items fresh for orders if it is not on the buffet. That might be fine for some, but it annoys me endlessly. read more
