    Burnt Cream Cheese Rangoon

Burnt Rangoon, and received a piece of mystery meat in my bowl. Bowl had nibbles of meat.

That's considered a 2 plate we have chicken and broccoli but It's supposed to be beef but whatever we're just a pain customers who cares

Every time I come here they are out of stuff and they asked me what I want and they give me the opposite thing. They run out of things at 8 o'clock at night at 7:30 at 9:30 this place is not express at all. Whoever orders, the food needs learn how to order further flow of customers and obviously they stop making things because they don't want to lose money even though there's always a line here at night. Tonight once again, no noodles no fried rice. I got shrimp white rice no crab Rangoon no egg rolls, beef and and broccoli only chicken, and when you guys say next time, you guys can have a meal on us, but you don't even know how to get a hold of me cause I complain like three years ago the person I was complaining and actually take immediate action to figure out who they are and their email address or their phone number and take care of Customer's who pay your paychecks so my email is BRIANKARMA 45@gmail.com and please for good price don't say oh we apologize. Come in and have a free meal on us cause I will show everybody that once you never say anything to me that it's not true like it was last time.

The restaurant is in a tucked away strip mall and is modest in size and decor. The strip mall also contains hidden treasures like a Chinese bakery/BBQ and an Asian store. We went early on a Saturday evening with friends. The service was excellent, although with some staff there were language hurdles. No matter - everyone made it work and we were left with an abundance of amazing food at a reasonable price. Wine and beers are served, as well as smoothies and other non-alcoholic drinks. BF ordered crab rangoon as a starter, which was good. He liked it more than I did, but it was nice and crispy. I just didn't think it compared to other dishes. My vegetable egg roll was very good as well, but nothing terribly unique. He went bold on the entree and ordered the pork intestine and blood cake dish. He really enjoyed it and said it was quite spicy. The portions are generous and he did bring a lot home. I ordered the homestyle tofu, which normally has pork. I got it without to make it vegetarian friendly. The textures were very good and the sauce was intensely flavorful, but mild. I also ordered a supplementary dish of braised mushrooms and Shanghai greens. Everyone at the table enjoyed this dish, particularly the greens, which are a variety of bok choy, called pac choy. The mushrooms were wonderful, with the texture of wood ears. I also had plenty of leftovers to eat the next day. Our friends ordered the Szechuan spicy pork dumplings and they got rave reviews. My cousin did say they were not overly spicy. She went on to order the sizzling black pepper beef, which she said was good, but not nearly as unique or deeply flavored as the other dishes. Her husband ordered the pork intestine with clear noodles, which he enjoyed but said was extremely spicy. He did leave a lot of sauce behind since it was so hot. He also had the ox tendon and maw in spicy sauce, which came with chopped peanuts on top. He seemed really pleased with that dish. We agreed that we would happily go back to explore the menu more. Everything was excellent and I thought the prices were generally quite reasonable, especially for the quantity of food. I do wish the menu had more descriptive text, so I could familiarize myself with the dishes. The choices are many and overwhelming and the menu is huge. I'd also love to see a symbol for vegetarian options since it's very hard to know otherwise and many of the vegetable dishes included pork or other meat. As we left the restaurant was getting increasingly busy with people waiting by the door for seats. This is a popular place for good reason.

It seems…read morethey are always busy, but the staff also does a good job getting guests seated, managing the wait list, getting food served and tables turned without rushing the guests. The Spicy Pork Dumplings have become my go-to appetizer, and the fried spring rolls are also very good. On a most recent visit, we ordered hot pot. Our server brought us the sheet to make our selections. You can choose from mild broth, spicy broth, or half tray of each. The spicy is pretty hot with lots of red chili peppers soaking in it, so I scooped out the chili peppers to keep rhe flavor but lessen the impact on my palate. For 2 guests, I recommend choosing 3 items from the list, maybe 2 protein and one veggie or 2 veggie and one protein to start. You can order more if you finish and need more. This is in addition to the two appetizers you will choose, which is included with rhe hot pot dinner. It's a great value! Sze Chuan remains on my short list of go-to's for Chinese dining, and I look forward to my next visit, whenever that may be.

Date of visit: April 22, 2026…read more I didn't realize that this was just a carry out place, but the weather was so amazing that we were able to take our food over to Hart Park and enjoy it on one of the picnic tables. Sesame chicken is my Chinese food "go to," and as far as they go, this one was pretty average with not a ton of flavor. The plate, however, was a great value with the rice and the egg roll, though that was a bit underwhelming as well. My friend's General Tso's, however, was better than my Sesame, with more flavor but not spicy like so many others when it comes to this dish. China East is a place that you could go to snag something quick and affordable, but is pretty average in terms of taste. Staff was friendly enough but doesn't allow much by way of customization; you can't get General Tso's with lo mein instead of rice, for example.

Service was quick and friendly, this is a carry out only establishment. Didn't order by phone so wasn't sure how long it would take but prepared fresh it took about 15 minutes, so they were quick. Order included shrimp egg foo young, sweet and sour chicken (came with white rice) and shrimp fried rice. Typical Chinese American fare, very generous portions (4 large egg foo young, quart of both fried rice and chicken dish). Enough food to feed 4-6 people. Taste didn't disappoint but the fried rice could have been seasoned a bit more. Shrimp in the rice and egg foo young were medium sized and plentiful. I liked that the sweet sour sauce and gravy came in separate containers and could be added when you began to eat. All in all I thought the food was good so I will be returning. Bill came to about $38, not bad for the amount of food.

While the Xiao Long Bao is quite good, it is not great principally because the dumpling wrappers are twice as thick as the best versions of this dish making them chewier and very doughy. They are also so large you cannot enjoy them in a single bite and inevitably need a small bowl for leakage as you're eating them because you will make such a mess. Naturally, you want the ball so you can drink the broth that ends up in it. The Szechuan Spicy Wontons have a wonderful seasoning and sauce, but frequently are overcooked so the wrappers are a little too soft and mushy. I prefer them slightly al dente. The Salt and Pepper Chicken is consistently the best executed dish I've had there. Also known as Taiwanese, popcorn chicken, these bite-size lean pieces of chicken are perfectly fried and satisfying crispy. We were both surprised with how much we liked each sampling in our Sake Flight -- $12 (5oz) they went from dry to sweet as you would expect, and our biggest surprise was how much we liked the sweetest variety. Here are the three that were a part of our flight Kenbishi Kuromatsu, Gekkeikan Traditional, & Moonstone Coconut Lemongrass Nigori. An additional note, the service is generally exceptional, but the hostess stand tends to treat you as a customer to be processed not a guest to be welcomed. The interior is very basic. The tables are comfortably spaced by distance, but the bench seating is too crowded. Getting up to use the restroom feels like you're on an airplane where you're uncomfortably close to other diners. Menu details Momo Mee's Famous Xiao Long Bao $17 (Shanghai Soup Dumplings) This unique dish is filled with pork and simmered with homemade broth inside our handmade dough. I thought today that I would visit my old friend and even though I have been around the world with the menu that dam general Taos chicken dinner combination is my favorite. The general Taos chicken combination comes with chicken fried rice and an egg roll. The chicken is always big moist chunks of tender velveted chicken which I can't tell if it's white or dark meat because of the velveting process but I like it. The egg roll isn't the tiny ones that became the norm over the years and it's super average like 95 % of Asian restaurants now, not like years past when the egg roll was a signature staple in Asian restaurants and they made really good ones. The combination chicken fried rice is that kind you find on most combination menus, not the main dish dark fried rice full of meat and veggies but just enough to accompany the main dish. Overall it's tasty enough and better than the average neighborhood Chinese restaurant and for a dinner combination that was 2 1/2 pounds of food for $13.50, price vs quality vs taste it's a winner.

The main courses are always good and the lunch specials are $10 for what I have had the last couple times which is slightly lower than other Chinese restaurants in the area but that didn't got me back so soon. Service is always friendly from the woman at the counter and I must be the only person who calls in my food order's because she for the second time walking in she knows what my order is before I can even say it. I love egg rolls since a little boy living in Chicago with an old school Chinese restaurant that just had the best around so I have spent my whole adult life seeking out egg rolls from all over and beef fried rice even driving 40 mile round trips. Ok is this the best egg rolls I have ever had, no the peanut butter egg rolls from the old school days were which have all but disappeared 99% from then to today because of nut allergies. A lot of Chinese restaurants have switched to small or cheap food service egg rolls over the years so the best part of Chinese food has went down hill over the years. Ok enough walking down memory lane from years past and let's get to the egg rolls, is it the best around in the Milwaukee area, no but it's probably the best in the 5 mile square area. I finally asked the lady why are your egg rolls so good compared to other restaurants with small mediocre egg rolls and she explained that they make them in house where we make them fresh homemade. Overall egg rolls can make or break a Chinese restaurant which is my favorite part of Chinese food and I think there egg rolls moved them to the top spot in the area with flavorful mains.
