The atmosphere was upbeat with music playing and you could smell the bbq throughout the restaurant. I just knew the food would be good and let me tell you!! Every bite was delish. We agreed it was one of the overall best meals we have had in a long time (and we eat out at many different places often). Try the soul rolls..and the ribs, pork chops...and ALL of it! We will definitely be back!

I went here Labor Day weekend on Sunday and it was actually not busy at all, nobody was out so I got in line and quickly got my food and headed to my daughters to lay out the food for the kiddos. I'll see if I can get a fried egg next time since I like a fried egg with grits, but this was all really good for 30 bucks. I got a ton of food. This is good and bad-good because you're not eating yesterday's food and bad because you have to look for something else. Thanks to Yelp, Rico's Tacos was just down the street so we said, "why not". Rico's has a pretty extensive menu but we opted for tacos. There were many varieties offered and each taco could be customized by choosing the type of tortilla and whatever garnishes such as onions, tomato, peppers, cilantro etc. you wanted. We both ordered a carne asada and al Pastor tacos. Another wonderful find. these tacos were unbelievably good with great meats and flavors. We also sampled the standard and "hot" salsas preferring the hot. Service was quick and friendly. I'll also add "patient" as this was our first time and we had lots of decisions to make. Rico's is another stop to add to our driving south (and back home) list.
