It is December 28th in Valdosta, Ga. First time here and visiting from another city. I ordered the fried okra and BBQ sandwich. Delicious and exactly what I expected! My family wasn't able to dine-in the restaurant because the staff had dropped the temperatures in the kitchen/dining room to 50's? It was in the 60's outside and I had to stand on the sidewalk while we waited on the food to be prepared. We were planning on dining in, but had to take it to-go because the environment was unbearable. There was a teenager in the kitchen wearing a puffy jacket while he was working. After hearing a lot about this chain from our friend from Georgia, we had to give this a go on our road trip. This was my first time to a Cook Out and I will certainly be back. The cashier Orlando was super friendly, patient and helpful. He was checking on guests, greeting everyone who came in and even clearing tables. He asked us where we from and said safe travels on our exit. In terms of the food, there was a wide variety on the menu and the sides options were very good from the traditional sides to chicken nuggets, corn dogs, cheese bites, hush puppies and more. We went for a burger with cheese bites and hush puppies and 2 corn dogs with fries. The food was out quickly and tasted great. I'd love to explore the food menu more next time. The milkshake menu was vast and that's a reason enough to go back! So many fun flavours and things to try. I had Choc Chip Cheesecake and my girlfriend had Peanut Butter Fudge, both we're fantastic, very thick shakes which is what we love! My first time at Cook Out ever and the guy working the counter was SO patient! He was awesome! I got the hamburger with everything on it with fries & onion rings. YUM! The burger was sauced and the toppings were falling off! 10/10!! The fries are pretty basic but salted PERFECTLY and the onion rings were good too! Their ranch is also good! Their drink sizes are HUGE! I got a medium and probably won't be able to finish it haha! The only thing that I didn't like was that you had to ask for all of the sauces, even ketchup! We were driving back from Atlanta and I was getting hungry for lunch. I had never tried Cook Out before, so we decided to stop and hit the most southern store in Valdosta. It has potential, but really fell short. We walked in and ordered from the counter. The girl that helped us was very nice. I went with a triple patty cheddar style add pickles. My girlfriend got a chicken sandwich with onion rings. I decided to have a chocolate malt while she had a peanut butter cup shake. After ordering, we decided to grab a seat. Most of the tables were dirty close to the door, and the tables that were clean had employees sleeping in the booths or playing on their phone. They seemed annoyed that customers wanted to sit and eat their food. Some moved as it got more busy. We found a table that wasn't too dirty and our food came up quickly. The food looked ok, nothing special. My burger bun was half stale and hard as a rock. Half was soft. The patty flavor and overall flavor of the burger was quite tasty. With the addition of cook out sauce, it was perfect. The chicken sandwich was pretty mediocre. The patty was half the size of the bun, mostly bread. Onion rings were adequate. Both shakes were really tasty. Overall, our experience left a bit to be desired. It was our first time trying Cook Out and we will likely try again, but at a different location. read more

We took a look at the menus which can be slightly overwhelming (just because there's lots of options) and decided the trays were best. Very busy place! Lots of choices so get prepared before you go with what you want. The food here to me tastes exactly like the name implies; you are at a cookout and someone is slinging food from a grill. I thought everthing we had was really good. We got one of the combo's and got 2 hotdogs, cheese curds, fries and then a burger. We flavor of the franks on the dogs were really good. Dressed one with cheese and bacon, yum! The other with no bean chili and slaw. Another really good dog. Double burger old west style. Really good. A little smaller than expected but perfect for the price. Fries seasoning was pretty tasty. A solid burger spot and a really good price. Just make sure to review the menu before you go especially if you are hungry or you will be standing there for a long time. read more

Wow such a great fast food joint! I had never heard of this place before my friend recommended it to me. The first thing that stuck out to me were the prices. It's such an inexpensive place! $6 gets you an entree, 2 sides, and a drink. I ordered chicken tenders and they came out fresh and piping hot! I also got coleslaw and fries for my sides and a milkshake for my drink. I was super impressed with the food, as it was delicious! It was so much food I couldn't even finish it! This place is a great budget friendly option but it is not a healthy option. Family of 4 all got the trays and it was only $23. Corn dogs and chicken quesadillas for sides ok. So my daughter got the corn dog tray that was 2 corn dogs fries, onion rings and chocolate shake. Other daughter got 2 hot dogs and 2 fries and beverage. I had chicken fingers fries and hush puppies drink. Husband got hamburger onion rings huspuppies and drink. The meal was good. The restaurant was clean as was the restroom. Staff was super polite. I came here after work or cashier was jacari she was getting very frustrated with us and almost rude we don't come here much so it took us a minute to get the menu. I order the big McDouble it was not big at all but it was good mostly cause of the bacon i had double onion rings with it they where a 2 at best never will order them again if I come back I also had a cheesecake shake it was pretty good the guy making my shake did not have gloves on I almost wasn't going get it but I wasn't driving big turn off where in covid times wear gloves and have your mask on all way if you want like a happy meal size meal it's a good place to go meal was okay not worth the prices and the staff not having there mask on correctly was a big turn off for me. read more

We all got the "trays", which included a main portion, 2 sides and a drink. 25.00 for 4 people!! I had the double cheese burger, fries and cheese curds. The burger and curds were pretty good. The fries were not good. I had cheerwine as my drink. It was delicious. They have it on the fountain. I tried my daughter's onion rings-very good. They have quesadillas as a side. It was getting pretty late at night and everything else was closed besides Cook Out. So we decided to eat here. And the food wasn't good at all. We had an order of chicken tenders which was over cooked and to crunchy, we also had some onion rings which was over cooked as well, we had an order of chili cheese fries and the chili tasted like it was burnt. And I also got a burger which wasn't that great but it was probably the best thing out of everything thing else that we got. We also didn't get any sauce for the chicken tenders and we didn't get any extra silverware packs for the chili cheese fries. Anyways I don't think we'll be eating here ever again. read more

Cook Out is probably one of my favorite places to eat at when going down south. Their food is better than most fast food places. Their milkshakes are really delicious. I like their Mocha and Mint Oreo milkshakes the most. This Cook Out must be a new location because the place was really clean. The bathrooms were really clean, and the lobby was well kept. The only thing I don't like about Cook Out is that it's never just right off I-75, it's always a 1/2 mile or more off the interstate. I recommend coming here if you are traveling on I-75. read more

Been here through the drive thru and inside. Every time we get quality service and amazing food. The burgers are amazing. Cheese curds are in equal standards to those from North Dakota. Milkshakes are phenomenal and not too large. The tea has been great some days and lacking others but overall not an issue. If you go inside to dine there is pleasant Christian music playing in the background. Not distracting like most establishments. Bathrooms were very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Just opened in Valdosta, we tried them as a family of Six and portions were notably inconsistant. Burgers were pretty good, chili was ok but not great. I was given 3 onion rings as a side to my order and half of the cheese bites my wife was given. The menu is confusing and the combos was on the side wall. I want to know why it's ok for a 30+. Year old manager to be talking about their teenage workers behind their back? Not just simple gripes and complains but literally talking terribly about a young lady . This is so unprofessional and unbecoming of anyone in a supervisor position. How can parents trust those kids are being treated fairly if the management is obviously bias for whatever personal reason they may have against them. The managers name is Sharneice Sutton. All I can say is wow. I ordered the Out West style burger it was loaded for its size. Tons of bacon a d onions picked 2 sides and a drink. My wife ordered chicken strips which were very crunchy, a corn dog with fries and a drink. Our bill was just over 12 dollars. So much good food cheap. I would definitely eat here again. read more

I always give a new place two chances. The first was horrible in every respect, and the second visit yesterday proved that the only thing worse than the food was the service. Bad attitudes, poor training, 4 onion rings, burger poorly assembled. I'm sure if someone wants to open a new restaurant, that closed building will be available soon. Problem is, the service labor pool in Valdosta seems to drag the bottom of the quality Barrell. Bring a good chain to Valdosta and watch it be the worst in the system.
